Greyson’s POV
I was having a difficult time keeping my head on right during the drive to Snoqualmie Falls. I didn’t mean for the conversation to take off in the direction that it had. But I did my best to stay calm and cool about the topic of my dead step mom and siblings, even though it’s still a very painful subject for me sometimes even after all these years.
Since I intend to make Aubrey my girlfriend and then eventually my wife, she would have eventually known all of this at some point anyhow, I suppose. So that’s all done now, and I decide that it’s high time that we change the subject!
“What was your childhood like?” I ask, trying to paste a smile on my face, and I continue asking questions in order to keep the focus off of me and instead on her. “I’ll bet you were popular
