Chapter Thirty-Six: Unexpected Things

(Mirabella's POV:) The next morning, it felt like a huge lump in my head. I didn't feel really well, so Marcus let me sleep in, and I was thankful for that. He told me I probably caught something there, or it was the weather change for me, which made a lot of sense, actually. I rolled on my side, and he wasn't there, which was fine. It was around two in the afternoon when I finally woke up and just laid there in bed not moving. The sun was bright, but the curtains blocked it out thankfully for me, which Marcus probably did, so I could sleep better. My stomach felt like it was in knots as I made a small whine before standing up quickly and moving to the bathroom. I shut the door, leaving it cracked before emptying my stomach in the toilet. I felt so sick. This was the worst feeling ever!
