The next day, Alice's friends Zara and Daisy arrived at her house, ready to party. They brought beers, cake, and a celebratory atmosphere, eager to toast Zara's recent upgrade at work. But Alice was still lost in thought, her mind consumed by the threatening message Julian had given her. She tried to shake off the feeling of unease, not wanting to ruin the party mood. "Hey, girl! Congratulations on the promotion!" Alice exclaimed, trying to sound enthusiastic. Zara beamed with pride. "Thanks, guys! I'm so excited for this new chapter in my career." As they sat down to enjoy the cake and beers, Daisy noticed that Alice seemed a bit off. "Hey, what's wrong? You seem a bit distracted." Alice hesitated, unsure if she should share her concerns with her friends. But something about their kind faces made her open up. "I got a threatening message from Julian yesterday," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Who's Julian?" Zara asked, confusion etched on her face. Alice took a deep breath and explained. "He's the CEO of the company I'm investigating. I've been digging into some shady dealings, and I think I got too close to the truth." Daisy's eyes widened in shock. "What did he say?" Alice recounted the entire encounter, including the warning and the feeling of being watched. Zara and Daisy listened with rapt attention, their faces growing more and more serious. "That's not okay," Zara said, her voice firm. "We need to do something about this." Daisy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we can't just sit back and let him bully you." Alice felt a surge of gratitude towards her friends. She knew she could count on them to support her, no matter what. Together, the three friends started brainstorming ways to address the situation, determined to stand up to Julian and his intimidation tactics. As they sat there, laughing and joking, Alice felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was not going to let Julian get away with this. She was going to fight back, and she was going to win. ********** Julian was sitting in his lavish living room, sipping on a glass of scotch, when Frederick arrived. His partner in crime and close friend, Frederick, was always a welcome visitor. "Ah, Frederick! Come on in," Julian said, gesturing to the plush couch. Frederick sat down, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. "So, how did it go with Alice?" he asked, referring to Julian's earlier visit to Alice's office. Julian chuckled. "Oh, she's a feisty one, that's for sure. But I think I got through to her. She knows not to mess with us now." Frederick raised an eyebrow. "You think she'll back off?" Julian shrugged. "If she knows what's good for her, she will. But I did have to resort to a few...persuasive measures." Frederick grinned. "I'm sure you did. You always were one for getting what you want, Julian." Julian smiled, feeling proud of himself. "Well, someone has to keep our interests protected. And speaking of which...I think we can use Alice to our advantage." Frederick's eyes lit up with interest. "Oh? How so?" Julian leaned in, a conspiratorial look on his face. "I think we can play her along, use her to get what we want. She's so eager to please, so willing to do whatever it takes to get the story." Frederick nodded, a sly grin spreading across his face. "I see where you're going with this. And I have to say, I like it." But what Julian and Frederick didn't know was that Alice, Zara, and Daisy were planning something big. Something that would take down Julian and his empire once and for all. The three friends were huddled in Alice's living room, laptops open, research spread out before them. They were determined to expose Julian's wrongdoings, no matter what it took. "We need to get to the bottom of this," Alice said, her eyes blazing with determination. Zara nodded. "I've been digging into his financial records. There's something fishy going on." Daisy's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I think I've found a connection between Julian and some shady government officials." The three friends exchanged a look, their minds racing with the possibilities. "This is it, guys," Alice said, a grin spreading across her face. "We're going to take down Julian and his empire, once and for all." ********* The next day was Sunday so, Alice and her friends were planning a reconnaissance mission to gather information about Julian's business dealings. Sarah, Julian's former worker, was also present, providing valuable insights into the estate's layout and security. "Okay, so we know the guards' names are Jake and Mike," Sarah said, pointing to the map. "And we know they change shifts at 10 PM." Alice nodded, her eyes scanning the map. "And what about the security cameras?" Sarah smiled mischievously. "I've got that covered. I know the blind spots. We can get in through the east wing and make our way to Julian's office." Sarah spoke up, "I know Julian's habits. He usually works late on Thursdays. We can use that to our advantage." Alice's eyes lit up with excitement. "And what about his computer? Do you think we can hack into it?" Sarah nodded. "I've got a plan for that too. Let's just say I have some experience with Julian's security systems." As they continued to plan their mission, Alice felt a thrill of excitement. She knew they were taking a risk, but she was determined to expose Julian's secrets. Little did they know, Julian's men were watching their every move, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
