Brandon

Just after getting into the house I heard a knock, I thought it was Monica but to my surprise it was John, The guy who rescued me from opening the bottle that day. Let's just say we are getting along, I get along with everyone but as for him, he befriended me privately. I let him in, he was truly concerned about me I could see it from his face.

John: What happened to your swollen eye nigga

Brandon: I just had a fight, I will be fine

John: We both know that you are weak, why will you start a fight?

Brandon: I didn't fight back, she beats me

John: Ha ha ha, boy don't tell me your mother whipped your ass

Brandon: I wish

John: Ooh, Monica did that

Brandon: ( My eyes widen up, I was surprised in how will he think Monica did that to me)

John: Come on we both know that it's her, after all, she's the last person we saw you with and I know you both benefits each other

Brandon: Ooh, too much information

John: Tell me if I am wrong

Brandon: I am caught up in love triangle

John: You tell me that you dating that girl?

Brandon: We came too far with each other

John: What are you gonna do bruh?

Brandon: I should get over Clara I have no choice

John: I thought you loved her, you guys fit perfectly and that girl loves you, I am just giving you my view it's a wrong thing to do

Brandon ( I just frown, he is right we are good together plus her wild side drives me crazy, we have already got perfect life together, I was distracted by his questions from my thoughts)

John: Is it true that she is in university?

Brandon: Umh yes

John: I am going to have my say, I won't tell you what you have to do, look boy Monica is at University now, are you aware that she might have someone over there? peer-pressure is high on her side, she might hook up with different types of guys, or immediately after obtaining her diploma or degree you will be no fit for her, open your eyes bruh. Clara is still young and you stole her heart, you can make your love grow and build up your bond, she is still clueless in most of the things and still controllable so it's up to you to use this moment to give her everything she wants and create her to be the woman of your dreams

Brandon: ( I have been listening to his words most of them make sense. Monica is been distant recently, how will one explain that?) Eish my situation is tough bruh

John: I feel you, just choose wisely looking at both side and its benefits

Brandon: You are right I should put everything into consideration

John: I got your back man just know that all the time

Brandon: Sure I appreciate

John: let's go and join everybody, you need something cold to clear your head

Brandon: I am not sure if it's a good idea

John: Come on boys fights all the time so I doubt it will be a problem with your image, you are not even bad plus I won't tell them that it's girls work

Brandon: Get out of here

John: Yeah sure

We were both laughing. We went to join everybody, I just took my drinks without thinking of Monica or Clara. I needed to forget about my situation a little, getting away from reality.

Clara

I woke up with cramps, it was period pains. I got a little bit excited when I note them cause honestly speaking I was a little bit scared of being pregnant. I get to miss Brandon these days but he was hard to be found. I wonder what do I mean cause I never went to his place and he doesn't have a phone, well let me just say maybe I just had an expectation of his presence. I went to school, everything about my day wasn't cool. I had period pains the whole day, I was a little bit moody and I get to miss him too much. I just decided to focus on my pains and forget about him a little. I lost touch with my school work, I believe I became a little wild these days. I got home, I was tempted to go and pay him a visit but I resisted that thought. I went to bed and nurse the cramps I had. If he wants me he will pop by.

Monica

I went to the house, I found my folks in the middle of an argument. I hate that they get to argue about me these days. They have always been happy but these days they get to fight over me, my dad says my mother is not doing a good job in raising me.

Mother: Everybody makes mistakes, at least she managed to hold on until this far

Dad: I always tell you, Maria, you protect her all the time, see what you created

Mother: I fail to understand why you put all this in me!!

Dad: Because you didn't listen to me when I tell you that you spoil her

Mother: But Richard!!!

Dad: He should marry her and ensure to find work. I am not going to support them, they are old enough now!!! As for her, she should drop out, She chosen to be a mother!!

Monica: That's insane!!!! None of that will happen

Dad: I am not surprised, you are old now but remember one thing young lady, this is my house I am the commander if you have a say you go out and build your own house so that you be able to command!!

Mother: Richard!!! Stop it...Monica go to your room

Monica: Fine I will move out, I believe it will please you

Mother: Monica you don't mean that

Dad: She's a big girl now, let her sweetheart that's a start, It's about taking responsibility for what she started

Mother: Just shut up Richard!!!

Monica: No mother let him be he will be saying you protecting me

I went to my room and packed the last few of my clothes, I was now crying thinking of the scene. They always say that parents get angry when they discovered about the pregnancy but I never expected mine to go that far, I know he is just mad those words came out of anger but I can't be staying here. I will give him what he wants. I took the last glance motioned around the room more like saying goodbye to my room, this is me moving out. I found my mother in the kitchen she was cooking. She looked down at me, there was a frown on my face, I stare at her.

Mother: You and your father are just mad I am not going to allow you to leave!!

Monica: I am just giving him what he wants

Mother: Monica!!! I am not going to allow that to happen

Monica: Don't worry about me, I have a place to stay so I will live

Mother: Monica this is your home, you don't have to do that!!! I want you home in recess

Monica: I can't promise you that

Mother: Monica

Monica: Mama I made mistake by falling pregnant, I know the costs so I am willing to push hard so that this pregnancy doesn't destroy or put a pause to my future so if for him it takes this pregnancy to destroy what I have been working hard for, I am Sorry it can't happen, it would take me moving out to prevent that

Mother: He is just angry he will come around

Monica: I hope he does, I stare at her wondering how will I be able to survive in this world without this woman, the tears slide in my eyes. I felt the need to embrace her but I fight that by running out of the door tearing.

I went to his doorsteps and knocked but he wasn't there, I knocked few times until her mother opened up for me. She told me that he went out with his friend, that torn me apart but I didn't show it on my face, I bid my goodbyes to her mother as I vacate. So he fooled me, all those words as he was pleading to change he was just buying my face. What have you became Brandon, How could you let me down when I need you the most? I felt broken as I take the journey to the campus. I got to the Campus and went to the residence, Tinyiko was on my door. She gave me a serious look, I tried to create a faint to prevent her to see my sorrows but it is more like she wasn't on reading my face, she was actually pissed.

Tinyiko: You got yourself in trouble for skipping the class

Monica: I knew it the moment I see a post about the presentation taking place

Tinyiko: What happened to I will come back first thing in the morning?

Monica: I don't have time for your lectures or interrogation I have a lot on my plate, please

Tinyiko: Monica you are even crying what is going on?

Monica:( I wasn't aware that I was crying until she said that) I am homeless and pregnant

Tinyiko: Ha ha ha that's not funny, I mean something to joke around and even cry about?

Monica:( I gave her straight face) if you think I have time for games then leave, I am crying and you think my life is a joke, it that what you think of me!! ( I was yelling)

Tinyiko: I am truly sorry, let get inside cause you have caused a scene

She took the keys out of my hands and opened up the door, she helped me with my bags, as soon as we got in she wasted no time and embrace me, I really needed that, receiving a hug and be told that everything will be alright even though the situation is now hopeless. If my parents have a problem with me being pregnant I wonder how will Brandon feel about it. I believe he will understand or maybe I hope to see his happy face. It is hard to predict especially with the person he just became.
