Monica

The following day I had to go and explain myself why I wasn't present on the presentation day, The lecture gave me a tough time, he talked about detention but I managed to convince him not be taken to detention, I bet you all wondering how did I survive with that, Well I was tearing down as I was tell him about my problems, he felt for me and gave me a chance for presentation but my presentation was private. It wasn't impressive, Everything I have prepared they all disappeared, I couldn't remember them. It was after my presentation, I took out my timetable to check on my classes for today, well I am so glad that I have no class it means I am done for a day, After how bad my day started I doubt I was gonna be able to pay focus in class.

I took my journey to the residence, it is more like 10 minutes to get there. I heard somebody calling my name, well I know this voice, it was William. I ignored him, after a few seconds I received an incoming call from him, I ignored his calls and phase up to the residence. I got to my room and threw myself on the bed. There was a knock, I was a little bit irritated as I went to open up the door, Well it was someone I have been avoiding ever since I knew him.

Monica: William!!

William: Hey Monica, I was after you, I tried to call you but you didn't answer my calls

Monica: Ooh Hello to you too, I am sorry about that my phone is on silent

William: Can I come in?

Monica: Yeah sure( I let him in and he took a seat on the chair as I settle on the bed)

William: How are you doing?

Monica: I am good William thanks and you?

William: I won't be good ever since you been shutting me down, but I am surviving

Monica: Okay that's great, I believe you came to check up on me well that's so sweet, can I take a nap now?

William: No Monica, I came here to ask you something

Monica: What is it? ( It all came back and my heartbeat changed)

William: Are you pregnant?

Monica: What!! Where did you get that? I knew the moment I shared with her that she is not to the trusted, I can't believe Tinyiko could do this to me

William: No it's not Tinyiko, I overheard your conversation with the lecture so I thought I could come and talk with you

Monica: Ooh

William: Yeah so I believe you are pregnant

Monica( I nodded with my head, I cleared my throat) Yes I am Pregnant

William: When were you gonna tell me that I am about to be a father

Monica: Who said you are the father of my child?

William: We both know that's a lie, after our encounter you never hook up with anyone, I had my eye on you, every move you made I was watching!!

Monica: Leave me alone, I didn't sleep with you, William!!!

William: How long are you going to deny that

Monica: Until you understand that I didn't sleep with you, now leave and stay away from me

William: Please Monica don't do this to me, you don't want to give me a chance I understand but please don't take away my chance of fathering my child!!

Monica: William leave!!

William: Okay fine I will leave but know that I won't give up on you

He said those words before he vacates, well let me take you through what happened. The second week after moving in Tinyiko threw a party for welcoming. I went to the party, it was a crazy night for everyone so I got drunk and the rest I don't know that happened. I woke up in William's room. He claimed that I slept with him but I don't remember what happened that night. The following day my body responded to the hangover only, I felt normal, I know my body too well so I can tell, I denied that I slept, From that night he is been trying his luck saying maybe we can work something out but because I am not interested in him and I have to be loyal to my man I didn't give him a chance so I have been ignoring him. I took out my phone and called Brandon's mother, she told me that Brandon is not around, I got disappointed again as I doze off.

It is like that, I went back to chill with gents, even the following day it was me and gents again. I got home tipsy yesterday so I didn't want to hear from Monica. Today I went back again right but now I was on my way to home. I got surprised when Monica's mother was asking me if I talked with her then after she told me to look after her. How on the earth will I look after her?. I got to the house and found my mother in the kitchen, she passed me her phone and told me that Monica wants to talk with me. I told her I will talk with her later, honestly speaking I am not ready for a talk with her. I got to my room and get ready to sleep, just when I was about to sleep the door got opened and it was my mother she lend me her phone, it was Monica on the phone call

Brandon: Monica

Monica: Brandon I want to talk with you

Brandon: What is it that you want to talk with me about?

Monica: Is there anything you can do for you to come to this site? I went to your place yesterday but I couldn't find you

Brandon: I don't have money, what is it that is important to share with me?

Monica: You haven't tried a little at least

Brandon: I want to sleep Monica what is it?

Monica: It seems like you are not in the mood for me

Brandon: What is it, Monica?

Monica: I am pregnant

Brandon: Congratulations Monica

Monica: That's what you going to say to me?

Brandon: So who is the father?

Monica: Are you crazy, how could you ask me that?

Brandon: Because I am interested in knowing

Monica: You are the only guy I am involved with

Brandon: So you mean I am going to be a father, when last did I sleep with you, how long are you? Why are you only telling me now?

Monica: I don't know Brandon, I just discovered yesterday, or let me just say I just confirmed yesterday

Brandon: How did you fall pregnant? I thought you are preventing

Monica: I stopped a long time ago and I remember telling you that I have stopped

Brandon: How could you be so careless Monica see what you just put us through

Monica: Are you not happy about this pregnancy?

Brandon: I am just wondering how could you let yourself become pregnant

Monica: I have a lot on my plate I don't have time to listen to you putting all blames in me

Brandon: Your mother says I should look after you

Monica: Yes I am your responsibility ever since I am homeless now

Brandon: What do you mean you are homeless?

Monica: They kicked me out, Brandon

Brandon: Ooh Monica I gotta go, we will talk sometime neh

Monica: No we are still talking Brandon

Brandon: This whole thing is confusing me, I don't understand why you are pregnant, how did you fall pregnant, I need some time to process everything

Monica: But I need you the most Brandon

Brandon: I am sorry but I have to end this call

I hanged up. When last did I sleep with Monica, how did she get pregnant what is going on here, what am I missing here?.

Clara

I am confused about how Brandon suddenly distanced himself, I am wondering if there is something going on that I am not aware of, who is receiving his attention, it is so unlike him to go through days without hearing from him. I wonder what changed. I bumped into John on my way home.

Clara: Hey John, it is good to see you

John: Good to see you too Clara, we missed you yesterday

Clara: You were hanging out again yesterday?

John: Yeah everybody was there except you

Clara: Everybody including Brandon?

John: Yeah

Clara: How is he?

John: Umh fine, are you not talking with him?

Clara: He didn't pay me a visit since Sunday

John: Oh

Clara: Yeah maybe he wants his own space, tell me here ever since you guys are close, didn't he say something about me?

John: Something like what?

Clara: I don't know maybe I wronged him unaware?

John: He is in confusion right now so it's best you don't lose touch with him if it's possible then it's time you show him how much he means to you

Clara: Is there something that I should know?

John: I just updated you on what you should know so it's up to you on what are you going to do

Clara: Am I in competition?

John: It is not my place to tell, I will see you around it was really nice to meet you, ooh and Clara I believe you can do this

Okay, what am I missing here? He left me with that confusion.
