“So, are we doing the job?” Hajime asks.
I sigh and lean on the coffee table. I am currently in his home. He is sitting on the sofa while I am on the floor and leaning on the coffee table, surrounded by paper and other junk.
“I don’t know,” I respond.
“But Luke and Bradley are expecting you to do the job.”
“I know.”
“And you don’t want to do the job,” Hajime says gently.
“Not really.”
“Because the target is Jake?”
“Yeah. Plus, I don’t really want anything to do with Luke; there is something about him I do not like.”
“Do you think he may be linked to the Jade Wolf case?”
“Huh?”
“You know, the green wolf that is destined to change the supernatural world. Its appearance means a big war is brewing that will change many fates. At least, that is the word going round.” Haji
