Chapter 16. Getting It Together
Randolph Coyote the Third rallied his friends. “Goggles on! Let’s go find Captain Pump and his ship.”
They flew out of the cave and into bright sunshine. The retreating storm had left behind crisp air and gusty winds that sent fat cumulus clouds scudding across the sky. For the first time, Sam enjoyed riding Randolph, as they soared over granite ridges and swooped down through valleys filled with colorful wildflowers. But though they searched everywhere, they could not find the Daisy. They landed in a field of flowers and stretched out in the warm sunshine.
As he started drifting off to sleep, Sam casually mentioned, “If the Daisy doesn’t have sails I wonder how Captain Pump got her out of the cave.”
