Bobbie Bear steered the Daisy, Captain Pumpkin whistled a happy tune while he polished his boots to a high shine, and Sam and Randolph sat on the deck leaning against a bulkhead talking. They watched through their goggles as Sam’s home world in the Rainbow Flash got closer and closer until Bobbie Bear called out in a very loud voice, “White pollen away!”
“Why did she yell that so loudly?” Sam asked.
“When you hear that you are supposed to stop what you are doing and sit down. It’s for safety. It’s a warning that, in a few moments, we’ll be blind, and if there’s turbulence you don’t want folks falling. But we are already sitting, so,” Randolph said while stretching, “We don’t have to do a thing, which is my favorite thing to do.”
