Hunter fiercely turned to me as his face fell. Our eyes met but instantly avoided mine as if he was guilty of something.
His reaction immediately broke my heart into pieces. Something inside me was squeezing my chest tightly as my body felt heavy.
"What are you hiding from me, Hunter?" I asked him again. He started giving off the scent of fear and anxiety as I saw him bit his lip.
