SUV winds along a narrow mountain road surrounded by dense pine forests. Thick morning mist drifts between the towering trees as birds fall strangely silent.
Inside the vehicle sits Alpha Derek Blackwood, returning home after three years of training with the High Alpha Council. His sharp blue eyes remain fixed on the familiar mountains.
Beta Mason drives quietly.Mason: "Home hasn't been the same without you."
Derek: "Has the pack stayed strong?"
Mason: "Strong... but restless."
Derek: "Then it's time I came home."
The SUV crosses the ancient stone boundary marked with wolf symbols. Derek suddenly feels the familiar energy of Moon Valley flowing through him.
Hundreds of wolves gather beneath colorful banners.
Children cheer.
Warriors stand in perfect formation.
The elders bow respectfully.
As Derek steps out of the vehicle, every wolf lowers their head.
Elder Rowan approaches.Elder Rowan: "Welcome home, Alpha."
Derek: "Rise, Elder. Today belongs to all of us."
Crowd: "Long live Alpha Derek!"
The cheers echo through the valley.
Yet Derek notices fear hidden behind many smiling faces.
Something has changed.
The Alpha Hall is built from massive timber and decorated with ancient wolf carvings.
Around the council table sit the pack's leaders.
Mason spreads a map.
Mason: "Three rogue attacks this month."
Derek: "Casualties?"
Mason: "Six warriors injured."
Luna Clara: "They're testing our borders."
Derek studies claw marks carved into the map.
Derek: "These aren't ordinary rogues."
Everyone falls silent.
Derek enters the office once occupied by his parents.
Dust covers the shelves.
A faded family portrait rests on the desk.
He gently picks it up.
His father smiles proudly.
His mother holds a silver pendant.
Derek whispers,
"I'll find out what happened to you."
A sudden cold wind blows through the open window.
The pendant in the picture catches the light.
Before sunset Derek decides to inspect the border himself.
Mason follows.
They discover enormous wolf footprints.
Far too large for any normal werewolf.
Broken branches litter the forest floor.
The scent is unfamiliar.
Mason: "I've never smelled anything like this."
Derek: "Neither have I."
He kneels beside a footprint.
Fresh blood stains the ground.
Derek's wolf growls inside him.
Something dangerous has crossed into Moon Valley.
Dark clouds cover the moon.
Warriors patrol with heightened senses.
Suddenly—
A long howl echoes through the forest.
Every wolf freezes.
Warrior: "Alpha... did you hear that?"
Derek slowly nods.
"That wasn't a rogue."
The howl comes again.
Closer.
Much closer.Derek and several warriors chase the sound.
Branches snap.
Leaves rustle.
Then—
A pair of glowing crimson eyes appears between the trees.
Everyone stops.
The creature vanishes before anyone can attack.
Only laughter echoes through the darkness.
Late that night Derek visits Elder Rowan.
The old wolf lights several candles.
Ancient scrolls lie open across a stone table.
Derek: "Tell me the truth."
Elder Rowan: "Some truths are older than our pack."
Derek: "I'm listening."
Elder Rowan: "Long before your birth... an Alpha vanished while protecting a secret."
Derek's expression hardens.
Derek: "My father?"
The Elder remains silent.
High above the village stands a hooded figure.
He watches Derek from the darkness.
A wicked smile spreads across his face.
Unknown Man: "So... the heir has returned."
Behind him stands a monstrous black wolf with glowing red eyes.
The stranger whispers,
"The game begins."
As Derek stands on the balcony of the Alpha House, a cold breeze carries an unfamiliar scent.
His wolf suddenly speaks inside his mind:
"Our greatest enemy has already entered the pack."
Derek turns sharply toward the village, realizing the threat may not be outside the walls—but among his own people.
