The Human Girl

After the threatening message left at the border, Derek spends the night unable to sleep. He keeps recalling Emily's smile and the strange peace he felt in her presence.

Standing by the window, he watches the sun rise over Moon Valley.

Mason: "You haven't slept."

Derek: "Every instinct tells me Emily is in danger."

Mason: "She's only been here one day."

Derek: "Yet someone already knows about her."

Mason realizes this is no coincidence

Emily checks into a small mountain inn near Moon Valley.

She chats with the elderly innkeeper, Mrs. Wilson, who warns visitors not to wander into the forest after sunset.

Mrs. Wilson: "People disappear in those woods."

Emily: (laughing) "Probably bears."

Mrs. Wilson: "Around here, not everything has four paws."

Emily dismisses it as local folklore but grows curious.

Derek gathers the council.

He reveals that the threatening message mentioned his mate.

Shock spreads through the room.

Luna Clara: "How can they know before the mating bond is complete?"

Elder Rowan: "Ancient enemies have ways of sensing destiny."

Derek: "Then we find them before they reach her."

The council agrees to secretly protect Emily without revealing the existence of werewolves.

Emily heads into the forest to photograph a beautiful waterfall.

She captures images of deer, birds, and wildflowers.

Suddenly she notices a large gray wolf watching her from a distance.

Unknown to her, it is Derek in wolf form, guarding her.

Emily smiles.

Emily: "You're beautiful... but I'm keeping my distance."

The wolf quietly disappears into the trees.

A man calling himself Marcus approaches Emily, pretending to be another traveler.

He secretly serves the Dark Alpha.

Marcus: "You're new around here?"

Emily: "Just visiting."

Marcus: "Be careful. The locals are... unusual."

Emily senses something unsettling about him but remains polite.

Marcus secretly memorizes her face.

Derek appears after Marcus leaves.

Emily is surprised to see him again.

Conversation

Emily: "You keep showing up."

Derek: (smiling slightly) "Maybe you're the one who keeps getting lost."

Emily laughs.

Emily: "Do you always patrol these woods?"

Derek: "Someone has to."

Their conversation flows naturally.

Emily notices Derek always seems alert, as if listening for danger.

Before leaving, Derek quietly says,

Derek: "If anyone strange approaches you again... don't trust them."

Emily nods, though she doesn't understand his warning.

That evening, Elder Rowan shows Derek an ancient scroll describing the rare bond between a werewolf Alpha and a human mate

Elder Rowan: "The Moon Goddess chooses hearts, not blood."

Derek: "A human has never led our pack."

Elder Rowan: "Perhaps that is exactly why she was chosen."

Derek begins to accept that destiny may have greater plans than he imagined.

Marcus reports to a hooded leader.

The leader's face remains hidden.

Marcus: "I've found the girl."

Hooded Leader: "Good."

Marcus: "Should we capture her?"

Hooded Leader: "No... not yet."

He smiles coldly.

Hooded Leader: "Fear is a better weapon than chains."

The rogues begin planning their next move.

As dusk falls, Emily walks back toward the inn carrying her camera.

A sudden rustle comes from the bushes.

Three wild wolves emerge, surrounding her.

Emily slowly backs away, terrified.

Just as the lead wolf lunges—

A massive black wolf crashes into it with incredible force.

The remaining wolves scatter in panic.

Emily watches in shock as the mysterious black wolf stands protectively between her and the attackers.

Before she can get a closer look, the wolf disappears into the forest.

She whispers,

"Was that... the same wolf I saw earlier?"

Hidden among the trees, Derek shifts back into human form, relieved that Emily is safe. But deeper in the forest, the hooded leader watches with glowing red eyes and says:

"The Alpha has chosen his mate... Now we'll make that choice become his greatest weakness."
