Blood Oath

The pack gathers around the ancient Moon Stone for a traditional ceremony held after every major battle.

Elder Rowan asks Derek to renew the Alpha's Blood Oath.

Derek cuts his palm with a ceremonial silver blade and places his hand on the Moon Stone.

The stone glows blue.

Elder Rowan: "Do you swear to protect Moon Valley with your life?"

Derek: "I swear."

Elder Rowan: "Do you swear to place your people above yourself?"

Derek: "Always."

The warriors bow as the oath is renewed.

Emily: "When I came here, I was searching for photographs."

She smiles.

Emily: "Now I'm searching for answers."

She places her backpack down.

Emily: "I'm staying."

Derek smiles with relief.

Luna Clara begins teaching Emily basic survival skills.

Emily learns:

Reading forest tracks.

Recognizing dangerous scents.

Using a wooden staff for defense.

Emergency signals used by the pack.

She struggles but refuses to quit.

Several warriors begin respecting her determination.

Luna Clara: "A true Luna protects with courage before strength."

Emily nods confidently.

Victor studies old maps with Derek and Mason.

He discovers an abandoned tunnel leading toward the Sacred Temple.

Victor: "This passage shouldn't exist."

Mason: "Could the rogues know about it?"

Victor points to faded markings.

Victor: "If they do... they've had help."

Derek realizes the possibility of a traitor inside Moon Valley becomes even stronger.

The Hooded Dark Alpha enters a hidden chamber beneath his fortress.

Ancient black candles surround a stone altar.

Marcus watches silently.

The Dark Alpha places his scarred hand over a black crescent symbol.

Dark energy fills the room.

Marcus: "What are you doing?"

Dark Alpha: "Preparing."

Marcus: "For war?"

Dark Alpha: "For destiny."

His black crescent mark begins glowing.

While practicing meditation beside the lake, Emily's silver mark suddenly shines.

She experiences another vision.

She sees:

Derek's father fighting a masked warrior.

A silver crystal being hidden beneath the Sacred Temple.

Derek's mother whispering, "Protect the Crystal Heart."

Emily awakens suddenly.

Emily: "The Crystal Heart..."

She has never heard those words before.

Following an old Moon Valley tradition, Derek and Emily make a personal promise beneath the oldest tree in the valley.

Each pricks a finger with a small ceremonial thorn.

A single drop of blood falls onto the tree's roots.

The roots glow softly.

Derek: "No matter what happens..."

Emily: "...we face it together."

The tree briefly releases silver leaves that swirl around them before settling back to the ground.

Elder Rowan quietly watches from a distance, knowing the ancient tree has accepted their vow.

One of the border guards secretly meets Marcus.

He hands Marcus a map of Moon Valley patrol routes.

Before Marcus leaves, the guard says,

Guard: "The Alpha must never know."

Marcus smiles.

Marcus: "He won't."

Unknown to them, a pair of glowing blue eyes watches from the darkness.

Following a suspicious scent, Derek catches the traitorous guard returning from the meeting.

The guard tries to flee.

Derek blocks his path.

Derek: "Who are you working for?"

The frightened guard refuses to answer.

Suddenly, an arrow flies from the darkness and strikes the guard before he can speak.

He collapses.

Derek rushes forward, but the guard dies with only one whispered word:

Guard: "Crystal..."

The assassin escapes into the night.

Derek realizes the enemy is willing to kill its own spies to protect a far greater secret.

Far beneath the Sacred Temple, a hidden blue crystal begins to pulse with light for the first time in decades. At the same moment, both Derek's and Emily's crescent marks glow brightly.

In the darkness, an ancient voice whispers:

"The Blood Oath has been accepted. The path to the Crystal Heart is opening."
