The guards announce the arrival of an elderly werewolf warrior carrying a weathered travel cloak.
Derek immediately recognizes him.
Derek: "Victor... I thought you disappeared years ago."
Victor: "I didn't disappear, Alpha. I was waiting until it was time to return."
Victor kneels respectfully before Derek.
Everyone senses he carries important news.
Victor presents Derek with a small wooden box sealed by the Blackwood family crest.
Inside is a letter written by Derek's father just before his disappearance.
With trembling hands, Derek reads it aloud.
Father's Letter: "If you are reading this, then I have failed to protect our family. My son, there is a promise I made long ago. One day you will learn the truth, but remember this: never let fear decide your fate."
The room falls silent.
Emily walks alone, reflecting on everything that has happened.
Derek finds her sitting beneath a large oak tree.
Emily: "Your world keeps asking me to become someone I'm not."
Derek: "No one is asking you to stop being yourself."
Emily: "Then why does it feel like everything around me is changing?"
Derek gently takes her hand.
Derek: "Because destiny doesn't always ask permission."
Emily smiles, but uncertainty remains in her eyes.
Victor tells Derek, Mason, Luna Clara, and Elder Rowan about a secret meeting twenty years earlier.
Victor: "Your father made a promise to the Alpha Council."
Derek: "What promise?"
Victor: "That no matter what happened... the sacred chamber would never be opened."
Derek looks shocked.
Derek: "But the prophecy says Emily and I must open it."
Victor nods.
Victor: "Which means someone must break your father's promise."
Marcus reports the latest events.
Marcus: "The old Beta has returned."
Dark Alpha: "Victor always was loyal."
Marcus: "Should we eliminate him?"
The Dark Alpha shakes his head.
Dark Alpha: "No."
He smiles coldly.
Dark Alpha: "Sometimes the truth destroys people more effectively than claws."
Drawn by an unseen force, Emily approaches a crystal-clear spring.
The water begins glowing silver.
As she touches it, another vision appears.
She sees Derek's parents standing before the ancient stone door.
His father places his hand on the seal.
His mother cries.
A shadow attacks from behind.
The vision ends before Emily can see the attacker's face.
She collapses to her knees.
Emily: "They were trying to protect something..."
Derek stands alone at sunset.
Mason joins him.
Derek: "If I honor my father's promise, the prophecy may never be fulfilled."
Mason: "And if you break it?"
Derek: "I could unleash whatever he sacrificed everything to keep hidden."
Neither man has an answer.
Derek meets Emily beneath the full moon.
The atmosphere is calm but emotional.
Emily: "Whatever happens... I don't want you to face it alone."
Derek: "Then promise me something."
Emily: "What?"
Derek: "If the day comes when my choices put you in danger... you'll run."
Emily shakes her head.
Emily: "I can't promise that."
Instead, she makes a different promise.
Emily: "I promise I'll stand beside you until the end."
Their hands clasp together, and the silver mating marks on their wrists glow softly.
Deep underground, tiny cracks spread farther across the ancient stone door.
A piece of the seal breaks away and crashes to the floor.
A deep, ancient growl echoes from within the chamber.
Far away, the Dark Alpha smiles as he feels the seal weakening.
Dark Alpha: "One promise has already begun to break."
He turns toward Moon Valley.
Dark Alpha: "Soon... the rest will follow."
As Derek and Emily return to the Alpha House, they notice a black feather lying on the doorstep. Derek picks it up and discovers a message burned into it with silver fire:
"The next full moon will decide the fate of Moon Valley."
Derek stares into the night sky, knowing that time is running out and that his father's promise may soon become impossible to keep.
