A Forbidden Mate

Emily wakes before sunrise, still shaken by the mysterious dream of the silver-robed woman. The crescent mark on her wrist glows faintly before fading.
She remembers the woman's words:
"To save the Alpha, you must uncover the truth about your own past."
She quietly wonders how someone raised as an ordinary human could have such a destiny.
Derek watches the sunrise over Moon Valley.
Mason joins him.
Mason: "You're thinking about her."
Derek: "I'm thinking about the danger surrounding her."
Mason: "Or the fact that she's your mate."
Derek sighs.
Derek: "If loving her puts her in danger... then I don't know what the right choice is."
Mason reminds him that running from destiny has never saved anyone.
Elder Rowan gathers Derek, Luna Clara, Mason, and Emily.
He opens an ancient stone chest containing the Book of Moon Laws.
Elder Rowan: "For centuries, an Alpha was forbidden from taking a human mate."
Emily looks surprised.
Emily: "Forbidden? Why?"
Elder Rowan: "Long ago, fear and prejudice divided wolves from humans. Those laws were written to protect the packs, but many believe they no longer serve justice."
Derek closes the book.
Derek: "Then perhaps it's time the old laws were challenged."
News spreads quickly that the Alpha's mate is human.
Some pack members welcome Emily warmly.
Others whisper among themselves.
Young Warrior: "How can a human become our Luna?"
Older Warrior: "The Moon Goddess chose her."
Another Warrior: "Or perhaps the Moon Goddess made a mistake."
Emily overhears the whispers and quietly walks away, hurt by their doubts.
Derek finds Emily sitting alone by the water.
She skips a small stone across the lake.
Emily: "Maybe I don't belong here."
Derek: "You didn't choose this."
Emily: "Neither did your pack."
Derek sits beside her.
Derek: "I don't care what the old laws say."
Emily looks at him.
Derek: "I choose you."
For a brief moment, they almost kiss.
Before they can, Emily's crescent mark glows, sending a ripple across the calm lake.
Marcus secretly watches Derek and Emily together.
He returns to report.
Marcus: "Their bond grows stronger."
Dark Alpha: "Good."
Marcus: "Should we separate them?"
The Dark Alpha smiles.
Dark Alpha: "No. Let the bond become unbreakable."
Marcus looks confused.
Dark Alpha: "Because breaking it afterward will destroy the Alpha."
Luna Clara offers to teach Emily basic self-defense.
Emily struggles at first but refuses to give up.
Several warriors quietly watch.
By the end of the lesson, Emily manages to disarm a wooden practice weapon from one of the trainees.
The watching wolves exchange surprised glances.
Luna Clara: "Strength isn't measured by claws."
Emily smiles.
That evening, Emily touches one of the glowing ancient stones.
She is suddenly overwhelmed by a vision.
She sees:
A silver wolf standing beneath a full moon.
A young Derek as a child.
Derek's parents sealing the ancient chamber.
A hooded figure watching from the shadows.
The vision ends as quickly as it began.
Emily nearly collapses.
Elder Rowan catches her.
Elder Rowan: "You saw the past."
Emily: "Who were those people?"
Elder Rowan: "Your connection to the Moon Goddess is growing stronger."
Derek walks Emily back to the Alpha House.
Without thinking, they hold hands.
At that instant, Emily's silver crescent mark and a matching mark that suddenly appears on Derek's wrist begin glowing together.
A pillar of silver light rises into the night sky.
Across Moon Valley, every werewolf stops and looks upward.
Elder Rowan whispers:
"The mating bond has begun."
Far away, the Dark Alpha watches the light with cold satisfaction.
Dark Alpha: "Excellent... the final piece is falling into place."
As Derek and Emily stand beneath the glowing moon, an invisible force briefly surrounds them. Deep inside the sealed chamber beneath Moon Valley, an ancient voice echoes through the darkness:
"Only the united hearts of the Alpha and his mate can break the seal... but doing so will awaken an evil that has slept for centuries."
