After the wedding

Chapter 1 Helen met Frank in her second year in the university, she was smart, intelligent, tall, huge, and kind and anybody that come in contact with her will always want to get closer to her, guys will never want to let go. She was one of the most respected in her department because of her principled nature. Helen never had any interest in a love relationship because she proposed in her heart not to until she graduated from the university. She had a changed decision when she met Frank. Franklin was a fourth-year student of computer science. They met at a seminar in honor of the next graduating students. Frank was seated at the end of Helen's right-hand side. At the very first glance at Helen by Frank he was very much interested in Helen. Frank had never been in a relationship too but was attracted to Helen. He walked up to her, they exchanged contacts and started their friendship. Though they started as friends no strings attached. As time goes by Helen and frank became fond of each other. Two years later, Frank had graduated and got a job in an IT firm as a computer programmer. He kept in touch with Helen all through until the day he finally proposed. It was the happiest day of his life as Helen couldn't resist saying yes to him, she accepted to marry him. Theirs was a holy courtship. He was a virgin and he looked forward to his wedding night with his wife to be. A year after his proposal, Helen had completed her university program and a year later, they completed their wedding plan. .. It was a glorious day as the newly wedded couple held themselves for a walk to the hotel room they booked for their honeymoon in one of the most beautiful four-star hotels in the city. They left the reception hall of their wedding which was about 23 minutes drive from their hotel. With a beautiful smile on her face, Helen smiled and hugged her husband. "Honey! Thank you very much, I love you." Helen whispered. I am so tired, you made me dance in my high hill shoes as tomorrow would never come as we agreed. Honey! Yes dear" her husband replied, I know you are tired right now but let us not forget our deal as we promise. Do you remember? We agreed to have a vigil tonight to commit our marriage into the hands of God. "Yes you are right dear", he agreed. "Let's go to bed on time so we can wake up at 3 am for our prayers. "Alright then," said Frank. They had their shower one after the other as they had planned not to see each other's nakedness on their wedding night, they later ate the fried rice and chicken that Helen's mother packed for them for dinner. Afterward, they went on their knees, held their hands, and prayed to God. Thanking him for making their wedding a success and thereafter went to sleep. Helen's alarm woke them up at exactly 3 am as scheduled. Frank led the songs of praise while Helen led the prayers that ended around 5 am after which they went to the bathroom together, one thing led to the other and they had s*x that morning "What is this Helen?" Frank quarried his wife. Being your first time I expected you to bleed, he said angrily. "I… I… I… I thought so too" Helen stuttered, with tears dropping from her eyes. "Liar! I never knew you to be cunning, I just don't know why human beings are like this. Or do you think if you had to me u weren't a virgin I wouldn't have proposed? I would. I hate this kind of attitude. I hate it! "But I didn't lie, God can bear me witness, I cant understand…" Helen cried. "Shut up! I love and trust you, I never knew you were a prostitute, so this is what I gained for my innocent love. Do I deserve this betrayal? "Honey please, believe me, I am a virgin, I swear to God, I am," said Helen. For the fact that you are still lying, I am getting more pissed. "No. Helen cried… .. It was 6:30 am already. Frank changed into casual wear and stormed out in anger. She tried stopping him but he wouldn't listen. Helen was devastated. "God! Come, my honeymoon which is supposed to be my happiest day has turned out sore. Why didn't I bleed? What happened to me? I thought virgins do bleed during their first s*x. She kept talking to herself. Please God I can't stand losing my marriage, you know my trust had always been in you, I prayed and committed my marriage into your hands this morning, holy spirit, please soften the heart of my husband and take control. She cried bitterly trying to check if she could see traces of bloodstain on the bedsheet that would help restore her hope but it was white as snow.
