CHAPTER 15/ A DANGEROUS CONFRONTATION

468 Words
I sat under the tree, my mind racing with thoughts of the earlier events. I couldn't shake off the memory of the bloodstains on my hands and clothes. Whose blood was it? And how did I get it? I was so lost in thought that I didn't even notice Ryoka emerging from the woods until she was standing right in front of me. Her eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my heart skip a beat. I trembled as Ryoka's eyes fixed on me, her gaze piercing and cold. Her words sent a chill down my spine as she sneered, "So this is the little human who got Akira not thinking straight. I guess if he doesn't know what to do, I'll have to help him do it." I knew I was in grave danger. Ryoka's anger was palpable, and her claws seemed to be itching for a fight. I tried to scramble to my feet, but my legs felt like jelly. I stumbled and fell, my heart racing with fear. Ryoka charged towards me, her claws extended, and her eyes blazing with fury. I closed my eyes, preparing for the worst. But instead of the pain I expected, I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Akira standing over me, his eyes fixed on Ryoka with a fierce determination. "Akira!" Ryoka spat, her voice venomous. "Don't tell me you're fighting against me to protect this...this human?" Akira didn't reply, his eyes locked on Ryoka as he prepared for battle. The two wolves clashed, their fur flying as they fought. I watched in horror as Ryoka's claws raked across Akira's chest, but he refused to back down. The fight seemed to last forever, the two wolves snarling and snapping at each other. I was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or speak. But finally, Akira pinned Ryoka to the ground, his teeth bared in a fierce growl. Ryoka's eyes flashed with anger, but she knew she was beaten. With a final snarl, she shape-shifted back into her human form and retreated into the woods, leaving Akira and me alone. Akira turned to me, his eyes softening as he saw the fear in my eyes. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice gentle. I nodded, still trying to process what had just happened. "Y-yes," I stuttered. "you really have to stop coming out here all by yourself, where's kael?" he asked with a serious look. "I told him I wanted to take some fresh air all by myself" I replied trying not to get kael into trouble. "And he let you" Akira said, his voice still as cold as usual. I remained silent. "Get up and come with me, I'll take you back to the pack" he said.
