LOCKED UP
Chapter 1
"What in the world have you done, b***h!"
Penny gasped as a she-wolf pulled out stained linen from the laundry basket. It was the same basket in which she had done the laundry and neatly. Her heart raced, she had been careful while washing the clothes, she made sure to separate each dress according to.
Someone must've set her up and seeing the devious look on the she-wolf's face, she knew who.
Her lips parted but before she could say a word, the she-wolf smacked her across her face sending her to the floor. Penny whimpered, the sting of pain searing through her body in a split second.
She looked up blinded with tears, she could see the blurry image of the she-wolf hovering above her, heaving as if to tear her apart. The shear hate in her eyes was enough to set off the tears but Penny had become accustomed to it.
She was a weak and wolfless omega, everyone disliked her. She had been turned to the Pack's slave and her situation got worse when the Alpha found out that she was his mate.
Everyone thought it was not fair to the Alpha.
"Do you know who these dresses belong to? You can do nothing right other than daydream all day!" The she-wolf spat angrily, grasping her hair and pulling her up with it. Washing the clothes hadn't been her job but Diana's but as a wolfless omega, she was always the target in the Pack.
Diana had found her idle in the woods and made her do the laundry. She had been fast with it and hurried back to the woods where her mate, the alpha who was also her childhood best friend had chosen to be their meeting spot since the pack was against the bond they shared.
Today was her eighteenth birthday and he promised to take her for a run, so she waited but Diana found her instead.
"What is it you daydream about again?" Diana asked with a mock smile as she released her hair and pushed her against the tree. Her back hit the tree with such force that Penny thought she broke a rib.
"In her dreams, she's the Luna" Another she-wolf spoke behind Diana. It was Mandy, Diana's best friend who harboured the same feeling of dislike towards her.
"Luna my foot! Our Alpha deserves better," Diana gritted her teeth as she glared at her. Penny knew she was seething with jealousy. Almost every girl in the Pack had a crush on the Alpha and prayed to be mated to him. The disappointment to learn that she got chosen instead had become the bane of her existence
"You don't deserve to be his mate, b***h! You better reject him, he's too good for you!" Diana spat and Penny raised her head, her auburn hair sprawled over her face though not hiding the defiance in her eyes as she stared at her.
"I will never reject him until I'm alive!"
Kian had professed his love to her and promised to never leave her side no matter what and she felt the same way.
Another smack to her face sent her down once again and she let out a low sob. Where was her mate? Where was Kian? He had promised to see her today so why wasn't he here yet? She was tired. All she wanted to do today was spend the day in his arms. She thought her eighteenth birthday would be lucky but this was far from lucky.
She couldn't wait to move into the Pack house with Alpha Kian. There, she wouldn't ever be treated this way. Diana and Mandy would respect her along with every other Pack member. It won't be long, Kian was going to be coronated soon, she just had to hand on.
"I'm sure he will reject you when he is officially announced the Alpha, we needn't bother. No alpha in his right mind will choose a weak mate and you're not only weak but wolfless. What a disgrace!"
"What is going on here?"
"Hi Rachel" Diana called, smiling adoringly as she stared at Rachel.
"You, come with me!" Was the next thing Penny heard as Rachel ordered her to follow her to her room.
Penny's eyes widened at once, she had identified Rachel as the daughter of their neighboring pack. What was she doing here?
Penny jolted out of her thoughts when Rachel's came again. "Didn't you hear what I just said? Come with me!" Rachel's expression expressed a distaste for her as she stared at her and Penny couldn't help but wonder why all these were happening to her.
Today was supposed to be a memorable day for her. She was supposed to be with her mate, but he was nowhere nearby.
Reluctantly, Penny dragged her feet on the hard and walked past Diana, trailing behind her. Penny kept trailing behind her like a lost sheep seeking for greener pasture, she felt uncomfortable due to the hateful gazes on her, and when they had gotten into a room, she exhaled.
Rachel flaunts her cinnamon hair across her, her lips curled into a smirk as if to mock her. ”I want you to clean this room for me till my taste."
Penny's jaw dropped.
Who the hell was this lady, and why was she ordering her around?
Rachel's eyes went the double size of how a normal woman would. "You must be-"
"Penny. I'm Penny."
"Good. Clean this room before the next 10 minutes."
**
"Why are you with my necklace?" Rachel asked, maliciously "You were going to steal it. Oh my goodness!"
Penny's eyes widened as Rachel strolled into the room at exactly 10 minutes from when she ordered her to clean up her room, her eyes blazed with fire, her nose flared as she gawked at her.
"I... I wasn't stealing, I was just-"
"Liar!" Rachel yelled, her voice was so shrill and loud
"I wasn't stealing –"
"Shut up, thief!"
"What's going on here?" A familiar voice came from the door. It was Luna Jessy, the Luna of Crescent Moon pack. Like a whirlwind, Rachel took to her heels and rushed to Luna's side.
"Mother, I asked her to clean my room and she was going to steal the necklace you gifted me"
"What?"
"I swear, Luna, I wasn't stealing from her."
"The crimes you dare to commit as a worthless wolf amuses me. First, you ensnare my son..."
Penny lips clamped shut when she saw the hefty guards that
"Lock her up in the dungeons!"
