CHAPTER 10: INVITATION

Zero saw the huffing and puffing Cloud that is sitting on a stool inside the kitchen. He realized that his friend is tired, that's why he silently prepared the orange juice his friend loves.
Cloud is speechless when a glass of orange liquid was placed in front of him. He followed the hand and arm of the one who prepared it, and his face lit up as he saw his friend with his cold yet worried face.
"Zero!"
"How are you? Tired?" Coldness and irritation are evident in his winter-like voice.
Cloud can't help but to act to see his friend's reaction. He nod his head despite of the fact that he called for some secret help from his fans in BMA to accomplish Daphne's order.
Zero's heart ache when he saw the haggard face of his friend. He walked behind him and started to massage Cloud's shoulder.
Cloud is surprised. He can't help but to open his mouth and close his eyes as he savor the moment that is hard to come by.
"Do not worry, Zyro. I will not let that woman harm you." Zero said as he continuously massaging the aching shoulder of Cloud.
Cloud can't help but to blush. He bit his lips to suppress the satisfying moans because of Zero's expert pair of hands.
"Thank you, Zero. But, believe me when I say that I'm fine." Cloud said.
Zero just nod his head as he stop the massage and started to rummage the groceries Cloud brought.
Cloud watched Zero as he started to prepare the ingredients. He also attempted to help but, Zero just swatted his hand from here and there and scolded to take a rest.
After preparing the dishes, Zero let him help to serve the food to Daphne that is looking forward to the dishes the BMA agents prepared for her.
The table and table wares are placed and prepared comparable to those high-class restaurants overseas. The maids and old lady Lucy are impressed as well as Daphne who actually didn't savor the times she visited restaurants in other countries, but now, she was given a chance because of Zero and Cloud's professional skills.
They are at awe as the two presented the dishes Zero prepared with the Zyro's heartfelt cheers.
"Impressive. I am really impressed with this." Daphne commented but Zero just stayed 'professional'.
"You flatter us. I hope that you'll enjoy your dinner, young miss." Zero said with his usual tone.
After they left to take a rest, Cloud finally realized what he forgotten to tell Zero earlier.
"By the way, the president called me." He said casually. He know that Zero will not care for the message because of their bad relationship. But, as one of the people who really knows Zero's old man, he will persist.
"Hmm?" Zero hummed as he started to undress himself.
They both have separate rooms. But, because of boredom and sometimes, planning for their next move, Cloud's assigned room turned useless for the past five days they have been staying inside Daphne's mansion.
"Well, he wants us to attend Faye's birthday party." He said.
"Faye?" Zero chuckled as he remembered that his birthday is also incoming next week.
"I suggest to propose the end of this mission, Zero. Let us celebrate your birthday in our resort. Like the usual." Cloud said as he read the message in sarcastic chuckle of his friend.
Zero removed his mask and smiled at Cloud.
Cloud's chest started to thump fast and hard that he can barely breath. Zero noticed his changes and approached him with his bare chest showing.
"Hey! Are you okay?" Zero asked him worriedly.
Cloud nod at him even though he wants to nosebleed because of the sight of Zero's muscles in front of him, ready for him to feast.
He knows that it's bad to lie, but... its not the right time yet. Or should we say, he isn't ready yet.
"Okay?" Zero turned back to him and then entered the bathroom to take a shower.
"By the way, did you found any clues about the culprit we are looking for?" Cloud asked while fixing Zero's clothes scattered on the floor.
"Yeah. I investigated it when you left. And I found a clue." Zero answered with a smile on his face.
"Oh? Tell me about it." Cloud is somewhat excited despite of the fact that he may lose the bet.
"Excited, huh? Can you please let me finish bathing before you rush me to elaborate the clues I've found?" Zero said inside the bathroom.
"Okay. I am just excited to go home." Cloud isn't lying. He wants to go home. He wants to take Zero away from Daphne. He feels threatened until now.
Time passes and Zero finally finished bathing. A man with towel wrapped around his waist and water still dripping all over his body came out the room that made Cloud stunned from where he is sitting. Until now, for over fifteen years, he can't stop himself from being at awe every time he sees his best friend in this look. He isn't sure when and where his limits can take him to. He do not know if the next time he sees Zero in this kind of tempting look, he can still control himself from doing something foolish.
He can still remember the first time he witness the god-like aura of Zero in the Baldwin mansion's swimming pool. Zero is ravishing with his already three packs of abs displayed on his abdominal part. His muscled biceps that makes every girl scream from the inside. And his long black raven hair, wet and sticking on his white jade-like skin. He wants to devour those and also cover his body from the sight of the drooling maids around. He must admit that from the first time he met Zero, he knows that a tempting and god-like man will be born.
"Well, the clue I've found is that, the culprit is both close to the young miss, and its a girl." Zero cracked his fantasies with the clue he found earlier.
"How did you know its a girl?" Cloud asked out of curiosity.
"Scent." He simply answered.
Cloud suddenly remembered that apart with his looks and unparalleled skills in cooking and combat, Zero also has this nose comparable to dogs.
