I had woken up from my afternoon nap when the hospital room door swung open.
"Who's there?" I sat up on the bed, feeling better after my sleep. My headache had lessened. But my eyes widened in shock when Mark returned. His yellow eyes met my blue ones, locking with them. I became so nervous that I lowered my head.
"Hi, how are you doing?" Mark asked softly, walking up to my bedside.
Before I could respond, the door burst open again. Dr. Sam entered and peered at us.
"What do you want, Doctor?" Mark asked before I could, his voice laced with irritation as he stared coldly at Dr. Sam.
