Mom smiled and said, "People change as they grow up, and she could have changed as well. I just want to see her. Can you take me to your friend's house? Let me see this young lady by myself and know whether she is my daughter or not."
Mom peered at Cooper's face, but he shook his head and said, "It's late now, Mom. If we go there, Mark will not let you in."
"I will try and talk to him. I want to see her. Please..." Mom begged, and Carter said, "Alright. Let's go."
