Serena’s POV The room they dragged me into, smelled of rust and damp wood. My back pressed against a cold wall, and coarse ropes dug into my wrists until my skin burned. I tried to move, but the knots were tight, cruel even. Whoever tied me up knew exactly what they were doing. I blinked in the dim light, trying to steady my breath. A single bulb hung from the ceiling, flickering like it could die at any moment. Shadows crept across the walls, turning the storage room into something out of a nightmare. “Gosh.” I said under my breath, feeling so gullible.
