Chapter 10; Coincident

I slammed the bedroom door shut when I reached it.

I don't know why I'm upset, and on the other hand I know I don't have to be angry with her because she doesn't like what happened either.

I was carrying the glass of water when I returned to my room.

I sat on the side of the bed and set the glass down on the table by the side of the bed.

There I saw the empty medicine package and another glass of water.

I sighed.

"It's okay, even if he doesn't say or show his concern. I'll just bury it in my mind to think about how much he worries about me.

I took a deep breath before I lay down and stared at the white blank ceiling of my room.

I was just going to try to go back to sleep, so I closed my eyes.

But it seemed impossible for me to sleep again.

Apart from Irish and Ivan, I don't think anyone else knows what really happened to Ralf and me.

Before I could speak again and think of an excuse, Loraine stood up.

"Alright? See you on my wedding day?

It's the day after tomorrow .

-I'll go home first. My future husband is already there to pick me up.

She then pointed the snout at the man standing at the door of the restaurant.

I said before she got away.

A few more minutes passed, Irish and I also broke up or ay because she had somewhere else to go. I went straight to a mall to buy a wedding gift for Loraine.

Since she would have a family, I thought it would be more convenient if I gave her household items.

And because Loraine loves to cook I thought of giving her a set of expensive kitchenware.

I take my time to look for some plates that suit Loraine’s personality.

She also comes from a Wealthy family so she normally has class and luxury things she likes.

I immediately went to the other shelf of plates when I saw a white plate with an emerald green design.

But when I was about to take it, suddenly a woman took it first.

I assumed, She's just my age. But she's a little taller than me, her body is slender and her curly long brown hair is tied up.

Pair of combative eyebrows and eyes with brown contact lens and long eyelash extension.

Pierce nose and red thick lipstick on her lips.

She looks elegant in her string floral dress.

"Oh sorry, I got it first. '

She said holding the plate.

"Oh- sure! It's okay, I will find something else then.

I said with a slight smile.

Then I turned around and went back to the shelf where I was before.

From there I could still see the woman who was holding the plate.

I just waited for her to get off that shelf, then I went back to get that plate.

"It's not bad if we have the same plate though, "As if we'll meet again.

I whispered then I took a set of those plates.

I spent a lot of time shopping, I enjoyed it and also bought personal stuff.

I also decided that, since I was on my way, I would go straight to Ralf's office to tell him about the wedding and I would try to convince him to come with me.

"I hope he agrees to accompany me'.

I whispered while waiting for the elevator.

At a "Ting ' sound the elevator door from the fifth floor opened and I was stunned for a moment when the woman I saw in the mall earlier came out.

She walked straight out of the elevator as if she hadn't seen me.

And I looked up again to check which floor the elevator came from, and it's the fifth floor where my husband's office was.
