Echo: Where are you?
Kieran looked at the text. He knew Echo would badger him until he came to the hospital to see her and Kage. He also knew that she had seen through his half-truth that he had comic book work that he had to catch up on. Devin had told him earlier that his deadline had been pushed back indefinitely.
Kieran: I can’t see him right now.
He had barely set the phone down when the reply came.
Echo: What if I go into labor right now? Are you going to abandon your only sister because you’re being a jerk?
Kieran shook his head and couldn’t stop the smirk. He knew she was trying to guilt trip him into coming to the hospital and he was going to be pissed if she found a way to go into labor to force the issue.
Kieran: I promised I would be there and I will. I just need some spa
