Kage yawned tiredly as Kagami led him from the hotel to the car. K-04 was with them as K-05 stayed with Hikaru to check out of the hotel.
“Should have gone to bed when we told you,” Kagami chided him.
“Hikaru said I could sleep in the car,” Kage said. “I was enjoying the books Kieran gave me.” He had read three of the books the night before and was confident they waited until he finally fell asleep to wake him and drag him to the car. Jerks. They didn’t even let us stay long enough for the breakfast bar to open.
There were still some rice balls in the cooler, and Kage fished out an eel one and munched on it as he sat and waited in the car with Kagami and K-04.
