“Attention, everyone!” Professor Vyrr announced. All of our eyes were set on the professor who was in the middle of the stage of a big amphitheater. “We will commence the first test this year. This would test the capabilities you have learned before you joined this academy,” Professor Vyrr continued. If we are in an amphitheater, does that mean that we will be fighting each other? It would indeed test our capabilities but one could not show his current abilities if his opponent could overwhelm him. “I heard that from last year, the test is a five versus five battle,” one of the students said. “Really? Then we need to find some people that would complete our five,” another one replied. Oh? Then, this is really bad for me. I don’t have any acquaintances in this class of one hundred twenty students. They wouldn’t even approach me because of my title as the Frivolous Prince. “Ahem. Listen everyone. As you have expected, the test needs a team of five so you need to find your teammate within one hour of preparation. If you can’t find a team just approach me and I’ll assign you to those teams that aren’t complete yet,” Professor Vyrr said. Zenith entered the conference hall. There are already many people present in the area and as Zenith looks around she sees Renver in the distance but couldn’t see Zeus anywhere. “Zenith? Are you looking for someone?” Drew asked. “Ah, I don’t see Sir Renver’s Secretary. Is she not attending this big meeting?” Zenith replied. “Oh, she’ll be here later. I think she just has something to do but I found it odd since she’s always with Sir Renver and this is the only time that she’s not attending this conference meeting,” Drew replied. “I see, but if she’s coming, that is still good,” Zenith said. Renver went to where they are. He asked, “What are you guys talking about, we’ll be starting some time later.” “Oh, we’re just wondering why Ma’am Zeus is coming late in this meeting,” Drew said. “It’s also bugging me but we should just let her be since it’s the only time that she’ll be late,” Renver replied. The host of their meeting started their event and reminded everyone to put their phone on silent as it may bother them if it sounded during an important discussion. “It will be your first time attending this event, right?” Drew asked Zenith. “Yeah, they said that this only happens every three years. This event would tackle our latest products and the upcoming products, right?” Zenith asked. “Yup, every media also comes here to have a scope to this so we always make sure that we’re ready for it. Your department may have a little part from this event but it’s still a good experience attending here. And oh, it’s also Sir Renver’s first time to handle this event since the last was handled by his uncle so this is really big for someone as young as he,” Drew replied. “Okay, I’ll look forward to this,” Zenith replied. It’s an important event for him but Zeus chose to do other things than to attend this conference in time. Zenith thought to herself. Zeus arrived a few hours after the start of the event. The conference went on and it was successful. Many people congratulated Renver and everyone was happy for him including Zenith. Zenith looks at her mobile phone and realizes that she got numbers of missed calls from Rin. She hurriedly checked the message that was sent to her and she found out that Renver is in one of the hospitals in their city. She called Rin to check things out but she didn't receive any response. Zenith went to Drew and explained to him that she had an emergency so she wouldn't be able to attend the after party. She went to the hospital that Rin sent to her. Keidi was already waiting for her in front of their company and hastily went to the hospital. Zenith went into the room where Renver is being confined and she saw Rin sleeping beside Renver. That’s why she wasn’t able to answer my call. Zenith thought to herself. Renver sees Zenith enter the room. “Zenith, you’re here,” Renver said. “Renver, what happened?” Zenith exclaimed. Rin wakes up from the conversation between the two. “Oh, Zenith. I couldn’t contact you earlier, I’m glad that you’re here already,” Rin said. “I’m sorry, I got my phone silent since we’re at the conference meeting,” Zenith replied. “What happened to Renver? Why is she in this state?” Zenith asked. “I’ll leave the two of you to chat here. I’ll be going for now, just message me if you want my help, okay?” Rin said. “Take care, Mom,” Renver uttered. Rin pats Renver’s head and leaves the room. Zenith has a worried look at Renver. She said, “Tell me what happened.” “It’s Zeus. She’s really the Sin of Pride,” Renver said. “Wait, did you confront her by yourself?” Zenith asked. “No, she came after me. I’m just on my way to school when I noticed that someone was following me so I tried to hide from them. She didn’t really personally pursue me, she just sent some of her underlings. I managed to fend off some of them, but I was hit in a critical spot. Before I passed out, I went to one of the police stations which made me come here,” Renver replied. “Those demons. I’ll never forgive them but I’ll also never forgive myself for what happened to you. I already noticed that Zeus is not on one of the most important events, I should’ve known that this would happen,” Zenith replied. Renver shook her head. She said, “Don’t blame yourself, Zenith.” “Why wouldn't I? I’m the reason you're involved in these demon things. If you haven’t met me, they wouldn’t have the reason to hurt you,” Zenith replied. “That’s incorrect. I’m really glad that I met you and was involved in this thing. That I’m just not a person living her happy life while others are suffering in the hand of the demons,” Renver said. “Renver, I’m going to avenge you. I’ll kill that Zeus,” Zenith replied. “Zenith, my mother is also aware that there are demons and their group is fighting them. She also told me that you already met their group. Why not let them help you with these?” Renver asked. “It’s because I don’t want to have many people sacrifice themselves. I already made you to be in this state, I don’t want others to have the same situation. I’ve trained you the hardest, I don’t know about their power and strength so I couldn’t let them have this mission. It’s assigned to me since the Creator knows that I have a good chance to beat the ruler of hell,” Zenith replied. “Why not see if they are strong enough to help you?” Renver asked. “I’ve already determined their strength through their appearance. Well, only Amaya fits the bill to help me and just like what I have said, I wouldn’t let anyone endanger themselves again,” Zenith said. “You know, Zenith. Even with what happened to me, I’m still glad that I have helped you in some ways. So I think they would appreciate it if you let them help you, especially Amaya. He loves you so much more than your love for him, though I think your love is on it’s way just like how much he loves you. So Zenith, let them help you, okay?” Renver said. “I understand, I’ll think about it after I defeat Zeus. With that, I’ll be able to locate the ruler of hell,” Zenith said. Renver smiles. She said, “You’re really great, Zenith.” “Anyway, take care of yourself. I’m going right now,” Zenith said. “Wait? Right now? But the event in your company just has ended and you’ll have a party after that right. I’m sure that Zeus would still be in your company? Ain’t that dangerous for everyone?” Renver asked. “Don’t worry, I’m going to send her far away after my first encounter with her. I got that ability but I’m not doing it since it would take a toll on me,” Zenith said. “Why not wait to have the perfect timing?” Renver asked. “Because I don’t want to let things get worse. They might get back to you when they realize that they failed in eliminating you. It’s the least thing I could do to atone my sin of letting you get caught up in this situation,” Zenith replied.
