[9] Prisma Magic Academy Part 2

It’s her, Amaya Sinclair. Even though they think that my level is 1, I was still assigned to the top section in the academy. I’ll try my best to gain Amaya’s trust and with that, she might fall in love with me.

I really miss her. Maya is as beautiful as Amaya but I should not be delusional as it may just be a coincidence.

Amaya sat with two other girls who seemed like her bodyguard but they are also studying with us. That means that they are also high level mages. I should also be careful of them.

Amaya seems to be looking at something. I gaze where she was looking and I find my Zeus outside of our huge classroom. Does it mean something?

At an early age, Zeus became the crowned prince. He is very close to achieving magic level 8 which is the same as Zeana. Zeana should be the crowned princess but since she’s a woman, they rank Zeus higher than her. What a disgusting system. If Zeana becomes serious, she can beat Zeus easily. Though they didn’t ever let them fight to see who’s stronger.

Anyway, today is the start of my life as an academy student.

“Nope, you’ve done well in this game, Renver,” Kisses said.

“Really?!” Renver asked.

“Well, you’re the only one aside from the three team captains that could last in that kind of game,” Kisses replied.

“Wow! Thank you for the compliment!” Renver said.

“Alright! Since the game ended very tragically, let’s do another game after everyone’s done with the break. We will be back in this court after thirty minutes! We’ll have Amaya and Zenith pick their team members and fight against each other,” Kisses said.

Everyone becomes intrigued by Kisses’ announcement, they’re about to leave the place but decide to stay so they don't miss anything.

Thirty minutes passed and everyone was so serious as they looked at Zenith and Amaya on two sides of the court. 

“So, let’s ask them to point to the first team member they wanted,” Kisses said.

Both Amaya and Zenith point towards Renver. Amaya smiled when he saw Zenith pointed at the same person.

What’s with that smile? Why am I feeling that I need to win this match against him? Zenith thought to herself.

“Oh, no! They pointed to the same person! It’s not even one of the team captains, we have no other choice but to ask Renver on which side she wants to team up with,” Kisses said.

“Me?! I’m so proud of myself,” Renver said.

Renver walks toward Amaya’s side. She said, “Sorry, Zenith. But I chose the person that is undefeated, though the real reason is that I want to play against you!”

“Wow! Renver did not choose what team to play with but what team to play against,” Kisses said.

Zenith chooses Dio and Diana while Dirk plays with Amaya and Renver.

Amaya and Zenith look at each other seriously.

“Looks like no one wanted to lose, I hope that the team captain of the national team would not hold back Amaya and Zenith,” Kisses announced.

I can’t believe that I’m hearing an absurd sentence like that. Though I think that everyone witnessing this match would also think of the same thing. Renver thought to herself.

“Let’s watch this legendary battle, the team that will serve will be Zenith’s team,” Kisses announced.

Zenith walks toward the serving area. She backs a little bit and throws the ball upwards, she runs and jumps to strike the ball but at the last second, she changes it into a floater serve.

“Wow! Is that the serve that was used by Dio?! It’s a bit different or we could say that she perfected the serve the Dio used earlier! Did team Amaya have anything to counter it?” Kisses said.

Amaya goes to where the ball is directed to but the ball falls down to the left side. However, Amaya used his feet to receive it. 

“What a ‘receive’?! This is the power of the undefeated monster!” Kisses announced.

She did not hold back saying that this time, huh? Renver thought to herself.

She runs toward where the ball would fall and sets it to Amaya. Amaya spikes the ball where it lands on Dio’s arms and bounced outside the court.

“What a combination?! A score to team Amaya,” Kisses said.

Amaya smiled at Zenith. Zenith saw it and she thought, “He’s really challenging me, huh?”

Amaya serves the ball, he does a spike serve.

“A spike serve came from Amaya. How wil-” Kisses said but was stopped as Zenith already spiked it back mid-air to Amaya’s team.

The ball came into contact with Dirk but Dirk didn’t even realize that the ball was already in front of him. 

“A comeback from team Zenith! 1-1 is the current score!” Kisses said.

Zenith smiled at Amaya and Amaya smiled back. Amaya positioned himself in the center of the court while Zenith did the same thing.

“What is this?! Is this even allowed?! It feels like the two team leaders are occupying the whole court. What will our referee decide about this?” Kisses said.

This is a team game alright. What’s the point of me choosing which side to play with. Renver thought to herself.

“Alright everyone! The referee gives me a thumbs-up, so we will continue the battle. Diana will now serve!” Kisses said.

The game continued and continued for about hours.

“Let’s check the current status of the game! A score of 1-1 which does not change after Diana’s serve. The ball has not yet fallen to the ground since that time! The three captains and Renver are now lying outside the court because of exhaustion and my voice is becoming hoarse. Amaya is somewhat catching his breath but Zenith is still in a good condition,” Kisses said.

Zenith and Amaya continue having a perfect rally but Samuel catches the ball before it reaches Zenith.

“Ehem! Let’s stop this match since it’s already lunch time! Everyone go back to your own room and prepare for lunch. After that, you guys could go swimming so change into your swimwear,” Samuel said.

Everyone agreed. Samuel was not a member of the Denver family but was also considered as a respectful father by all of Amaya’s relatives.

They took a small break and proceeded to the long table. The same proceedings for breakfast they do the same during lunch time.

“It’s time for your bikini, Zenith!” Renver said.

“Yours, too, right?” Zenith replied.

“Yup! Can’t wait. You know, we should’ve put on our bikini during the beach volleyball but everyone was so hype that they forgot about that,” Renver said.

“That’s fine, so let’s change?” Zenith said.

As Zenith works on her job at Denver Coffee Shop, she notices that her bracelet blinks as a middle aged guy comes inside the shop. She volunteered to take the order of the guy so she could have a better interaction with him.

“Hello, Sir! Here’s the menu, you could just approach any of the staff if you already decided on your order,” Zenith said to the guy.

“No need for the menu, just give me your strongest coffee here,” the guy replied.

“Alright, Sir. We’ll give it to you as soon as we brew it. The Wi-Fi password is written on the paper on your table. If you want anything else, just ask,” Zenith replied.

“I don’t want anything else, just take my order and leave me at peace,” the guy said.

“Okay, Sir,” Zenith replied.

Zenith passed the order to the other staff and secretly observed the guy from CCTV. The guy seemed to be seriously working on his job. He sometimes got pissed off but could calm his senses after a few seconds. It's proof that he is very used to working under pressure. 

As the coffee was ready to serve, Zenith took it and served it to the man.

“Here’s your order, Sir!” Zenith said as she put down the coffee.

“Ohh, thank you, Miss. I’m sorry about my behavior earlier. I’m just stressed at work that I missed talking to a beautiful girl,” the guy said.

“Don’t worry about that, Sir. I understand being stressed out at work,” Zenith replied.

“No, no. I need to apologize about that. Ohh, could you also serve me one of the cakes that is very popular in this specific coffee shop and also the other one for take out,” the guy said.

“I understand, Sir. Just wait for a moment and I’ll bring your order here,” Zenith said.

Zenith takes the time to look at the guy with her eyes of discernment. The guy emits a dark red aura that signifies that a person is gravely committing a sin. Zenith smiles even though the task will obviously be hard. 

Well, meeting someone that has that aura is a good thing since I know that I have the opportunity to change the person before it’s too late. Zenith thought to herself.

Zenith serves the order and decides to just continue observing the guy. She doesn't want to interrupt the guy from what he’s doing and doesn’t want the guy to be alarmed that he’s being observed.

Just before the closing time, the guy left the coffee shop and Zenith immediately bid farewell to her subordinates to follow the guy. 

The guy just went straight to an apartment which seemed like he was staying in. Zenith just remembers the place and takes her leave. She also went home and rested for a while.

Early in the morning, Zenith went out and left a note for Renver that she’ll be going out earlier than usual. She also notified her driver that he does not need to escort her to the company. Zenith went to the apartment that the middle aged guy was staying in so she could follow him to his work before Zenith went to the Azazel Company.

After a few minutes, the guy went out and called out for a taxi. Zenith doesn't have time to call for another taxi since she will be spotted by the guy or if she calls it a bit later, the driver wouldn’t follow the taxi where the guy is.

She decided to hide her presence from everyone and just run from the roofs of the houses to follow the taxi. She ended up looking at where the guy was working. It’s an industrial company and the workplace is also huge but not comparable to the Azazel company.

As Zenith was sure that she couldn’t do any more investigation, she decided to go to the Azazel Company. She went there via taxi so no one would question why she’s just walking to get there.

As she went inside, she met Rista. 

“Zenith, you’re earlier than usual. I mean, you are always so early but this time I think that the sun is just rising,” Rista greeted.

“Good morning, Sir. I just woke up too early and since I have nothing to do, I decided to come here already,” Zenith replied.

As they greeted each other, Zenith noticed that there were several employees that were just going home, which was her first time seeing those people.
