Chapter Three

1129 Words
My second weekend in campus will forever remain in my memory. It was the freshmen welcome party. I know I was supposed to party in moderation but I could not miss this party for anything. "Are you done?" Lucy shouted  rushing into my house without a knock. "Almost and you should learn to knock Lucy," I shouted back rolling my eyes.   I was already used to her doing that. I had known her for only two weeks but it felt like we knew each other our whole lives.        Lucy walked into my bedroom, stood at the door with her arms wide open as a gesture for me to look at her outfit. A short bright blue off-shoulder dress with glitters and black heels. Her earrings, bracelets and necklace were also on point. Fancy was the word to describe her style. "Girl, you totally killed it," I said as I finished up doing my make up."I know but thank you anyways," Lucy answered jokingly while laughing.        "Bee those boys are still going to hit on you without all that make up," Lucy said, flattering me after noticing the tones of makeup I was putting on. "You are so silly,(laughing) I do not want anyone hitting on me tonight I just want to have a good time, drink, dance come back home alone and sleep, OK?," I declared thinking that I would totally  shut her down. "Well I am pretty sure that taxi  driver you have a crush on will show up," Lucy snapped back proving herself undefeatable. "He has a job to do remember?" I bellowed but deep down I really hoped he would show up. I kept my fingers crossed and so eager to see him again.         Luckily the party venue was within our neighborhood so we did not have to walk for long. It was at 'Feel the Beat' night club. "Two bottles of wine please," I ordered as soon as we got there then we made our way to the table Lucy had chosen. The party was amazing, everyone seemed to have a good time, drinking, dancing and making friends. Social groups were already forming among the freshmen. Well, ours consisted of only Lucy and I but I loved it regardless. I dashed my eyes all over the club hoping they would land on the cutest taxi driver but to no avail. Ugh! the flashlights were so annoying.        "Hello can I join you guys," that was Dylan a freshman that was already famous in campus within two weeks. He was very handsome and had like all the girls throwing themselves on his feet. It was also obvious that he was rich as hell from the car he drove to the designer clothes he wore. He sat next to me during our first lecture and tried to befriend Lucy and I, but it didn't work on me. Lucy was however  very fond of him. I didn't like him because of his pride, he could not go a minute without talking about what he possessed and what he was planing to buy. So annoying.        "Sure," Lucy answered. "I did not expect to see you guys here,"he started. "Why? Don't we look like people who like to have fun?" I asked, quite pissed off for nothing. "Whoa! Sorry Bianca I did not mean to offend you like....." "Yeeey! that is my song," I shouted cutting him short.        I then made my way to the dance floor, leaving the two of them in disbelief. The song was 'On the low' by Burna Boy. I could not help but dance to it. I danced vigorously and carefree as if i was the only one on that dance floor,  then I felt my hand knock something hard. It was a glass. "Oops! I am so sorry I did not mean to spill your drink," I said as  I turned around to see how much of a mess I had made. "Oh it's you, Victor, h-hi, I-I mean sorry," I said awkwardly and embarrassed. Lucy and Dylan could not stop laughing from where they sat.        "It's OK, i will just clean it up," Victor said. "No I will," I offered then we made our way to the bathroom. Victor took off his coat and gave it to me to clean. I did not like the awkward silence as i cleaned it so I decided to initiate a conversation. "It is nice to see you again despite what just happened." Victor then smiled, turned  his sexy eyes on me and said,  "I was actually looking forward to seeing you tonight, that is like the main reason I came." The happiness inside me on hearing that was unbearable. I was more than flattered.        "Here it is done, sorry again," I handed him the coat. "Thank you miss," Victor answered as he put it back on. I smiled every time we made eye contact that my face hurt from all that smiling. "You are so beautiful," he said making me blush a lot. "Thank you," I answered covering my face with my two hands. It was then that the conversation started flowing naturally, we talked about lots of different things both funny and serious stuff. The more we talked the more he moved closer to me.  He eventually got close enough, put his right hand on my hips and his left hand on my cheeks. He made signs like he wanted to kiss me. I was not ready for it but I found myself unable to resist his cute pink lips. Those were the softest and sweetest lips I have ever kissed. We both did not want to stop it so we kept going, passionately. My heart melted for Victor. I felt so stupidly in love.          "So do you want to get out of here?" He asked, biting his lower lip. "Aaaaah let's go," I answered though I knew Lucy would literally  kill me for leaving her in the club without letting her know,  but at this point I could only think of spending time with Victor.        Victor's house was quite far away from the club unlike mine so we went to my house. "Welcome home stranger and please do not judge," I welcomed him playfully. His response was just a simple smile.         That night is unforgettable for being the most romantic night in my life. It all started with us in the shower together and the rest I would say is history. The following morning, when I woke up Victor was gone. He however left a note beside my bed with his phone number written on it accompanied by a 'thank you'.
