Chapter Three - Plans to Rebuild

The rest of the trip was uneventful as far as Felicity was concerned. They had chatted basically nonstop and now she even knew his favorite food, colors, music, art and so much more. When he pulled into his territory, she was suitably disappointed, the village looked like a ghost town. She noticed a few wolves here and there but not many. “How many wolves do you have in your pack?” she asked him, she could clearly see his sorrow and her heart went out to him despite promising herself she wouldn’t allow his emotions and feelings to affect her. “Now with you here, we are a total of twenty-three,” “Oh Woah,” was all she could say on that number. Twenty-three wolves, that was a seriously small number of wolves. Was it even called a pack then, she wasn’t sure? The village looked so abandoned and not looked after. When he pulled up to the house, she pulled her face in disgust. The house looked worse than the village. “This is the packhouse?” she asked, and he looked embarrassed. “Yeah, but I really want to re-do the whole place,” he quickly informed her, and she smiled. “Now that, could be a whole lot of fun,” she didn’t bother to wait for him to open her door as she got out and went inside. She had been hoping that the inside looked better but alas, it looked just as lost and untouched as everything else she had seen so far. “Yeah, so what do you think?” he asked her, she turned to him and gave him a look. “Honestly, it stinks, like it literally stinks,” Jason chose that moment to walk in and Felicity eyed him out. “Oh, you’re back, oh welcome, yeah, Luna,” he stumbled over his words and it was annoying. “Felicity, this is my beta Jason,” Warren introduced them, and Jason bowed in respect. “Yeah, listen, where is your office?” Felicity asked. “Wouldn’t you like something to eat? A shower maybe? A nap?” Warren fired the questions and she wrinkled her nose. “No offense but the way this place looks, I wouldn’t want to eat, sleep or even use the bathroom,” she left the two males open-mouthed and wandered around till she found the office. It wasn’t bad, a bit dusty and could use a fresh coat of paint. She went over to his desk and checked out the chair, which looked relatively clean and sat down. “Felicity,” Warren started as he came into the room. “No, listen to me Warren, my parents told me that I was to leave with you, I did that, they told me to help you to rebuild and I will do that too, but this place is rundown and hasn’t been looked after for years, so I suggest you take a seat,” She pointed at the chair in the corner of the room and smiled at him innocently. He didn’t object although she was one hundred percent sure he wanted too. Jason stood awkwardly at the door and she pointed at the other chair and he quickly joined Warren in the corner. “So, you think you can handle this?” Warren asked her and she rolled her eyes. “Of course, now, Jason, grab a pen and paper,” she handed him a pen that was laying on the desk and some paper. Jason looked uncomfortable and obviously not used to being ordered around by a she-wolf. She could see that Warren was amused by this and she hid a smile as she secretly enjoyed it too. “Now, Warren, tell me about your financials?” she needed to know how much money she had to spend, and he gave her a warning look before pointing at the diary that was placed on the corner of the desk. She pulled it closer and opened it, she could see he had recently gotten a statement and she was impressed by a large amount of money. “Good, Jason write down the following, we will need,” she thought about it for a moment while looking around the room. She gave him a list of all the things they would need, as she spoke, she got up. “Follow me, let’s take a walk around this place,” she walked back in the direction she had come from and started in the entrance or foyer. She looked around the area and gave him a list. Warren was silent as she thought of the pack's colors, she could see a lot of red and back. “Pack’s colors? Red and black?” Warren nodded at her question and she moved on, walking into what she assumed was the dining area. She shook her head in disgust and gave Jason a list of what was needed. Moving along, she went into the kitchen and was actually surprised to find the kitchen in good condition. Clean at least. She also came face to face with two she-wolves. “Felicity, this is Amanda and Jessica, cooks of the house,” the two she-wolves stopped what they were doing and bowed respectfully. “Hello,” Felicity greeted them as she started opening the cupboard doors. “At least this place is ok, but still, there is room for improvement,” she continued to give Jason a list of materials needed and after smiling at Amanda and Jessica she left and went into the living room. Again, this room was somewhat in good condition. “And this is my lead warrior, Jackson and some of the warriors, Brent, Kyle, Harry, and Oliver,” Warren introduced her to the five wolves, who had stood up and bowed respectfully. They gave her confident smiles and she wandered about the training grounds. “Nice to meet you,” she said as she looked around the room. Obviously, the few pack members enjoyed hanging out in this area, so she took her time in giving Jason the list. “What’s this all about?” Jackson asked. “Renovation,” she answered before Warren could say anything. The wolves looked surprised, but she didn’t care as she walked out, she went passed the office, and opened the next door, which was the library. Felicity coughed out as the room was dusty, dirty and overall disgusting. She gave Warren a disappointing look before giving Jason the list. And so, on she went, moving through the house until she came to Warren’s bedroom and adjoining bathroom. This was the only room in the house that was relatively looked after. “I’m the only one currently sleeping in the house,” Warren explained and after she gave Jason the list, she gave them a small smile. Aside from Amanda and Jessica, she had about ten wolves following her around, they were curious. “Alright, well, Jason, that list is then for the house, now let’s talk a walk around outside,” they all followed her outside and she immediately started giving out the list for the garden directly around the house. “Do you have a greenhouse or what?” she asked. “Yeah, follow me,” Warren led the way and she could see that at least, their crop fields looked good. She was actually impressed. “We harvest a lot of produce,” Jason informed her, and two wolves came forward. “This is Lucas and Sam,” Warren introduced them, and she complimented them on their stunning crops. “Thank you, Luna,” at their use of the word, she felt herself blush and spoke with them about the equipment they needed or wanted. After a while, she turned to Jackson. “Please show me your training grounds,” he nodded and led her to the right side of the house. They entered the building and she smiled. “We do train daily,” Jackson mentioned, and she nodded as she looked around the gym. It was clean, spacious and almost perfect. “Just a few changes,” she muttered to herself as she looked around, she went out one of the doors that led to the outside training and once again she smiled. “Looks good,” she complimented, and Jackson beamed with pride, she noticed that Warren had rolled his eyes. - Warren wanted to rip off Jackson's smug head but refrained himself from doing so. He was suitably impressed with Felicity. She had taken charge and although it felt odd, he was happy she wasn’t fighting him on the renovation idea. In fact, it looked to him that she was enjoying it. The followers where just as excited and he could feel them feeling a ray of hope. He had made the right choice by bringing her here. He couldn’t help but breathe in her addicting scent as she gave yet another list to Jason. He smirked at his beta who was furiously writing everything down. They moved along to the garages and workshops. He was impressed. She knew what was needed and that told him, she wasn’t stupid. She knew how a pack works. He had noticed her eyes had lit up when Jackson had shown her their training grounds. He wondered why and made a mental note in finding out about that later. Amanda and Jessica had joined them and now every single member of his pack was following Felicity as she made her way through the village. She didn’t hide her disgust and disappointment. He was glad he at least at the funds for everything she wanted. The infirmary was also a place that was well looked after but as per usual, she gave Jason a list. The pack doctor, Kevin was obviously happy that someone was taking an interest. He even voiced out the need for supplies and possibly help. “All in good time, doctor,” Felicity told him, and Warren smirked. He could see the confusion on the member's faces. They figured she was the Luna, but they were also uncertain. He could only tag along and when they finally went back to the house, he could tell she was exhausted. “Do you have all of that Jason?” she asked as she sat down in his chair once again. He didn’t mind it as much as he had before. It felt good to have a mate by his side. “Yes, Luna,” “Good, get all the materials and supplies as soon as possible. The sooner we can renovate, the better for us all,” Jason hurried out of the room and Warren sat back looking at Felicity. She was by far the most beautiful she-wolf he had ever seen. She was strikingly attractive, and he had warned some of the members via mind-link that she was his mate and their Luna. He didn’t want any of the wolves getting any ideas in their heads. “Thank you,” he voiced out and she opened her eyes to look at him. “For what?” “I don’t know, I mean, thank you for coming here, thank you for showing initiative and for taking charge,” he wasn’t quite sure how to voice his gratitude, it wasn’t something he had done before. “Well, I have to live here too and you did ask for help in rebuilding this place, once the renovations are done, wolves will come, but we do need to talk about security and about the warriors,” at the word, ‘warriors’, he noticed that same sparkle in her eyes. “You seem, um…happy when you talk about that,” she blushed at his words and he was pleasantly surprised by her natural beauty. “In case you haven’t noticed, I’m not weak, I’ve been in training since I was twelve and honestly, I ran the training grounds back home,” he was impressed. “Oh, trust me, I noticed,” he commented and she blushed again and looked away. He was openly admiring her strength and beauty and although he realized she wasn’t exactly comfortable with it, she looked happy that he had in fact noticed. “Well, Jackson is the lead warrior, but I see no reason why you can't continue training and leading our warriors,” “Our?” she seemed shocked but quickly recovered. “Yeah that would be great actually,” she leaned back in the chair and closed her eyes. It was late and he quickly mind-linked Jessica, asking if dinner was ready. “Jessica said that they are ready for us,” he watched as she smiled and got up. He wanted so badly to touch her, be close to her and his wolf, Wyclef wanted to take full control. He pushed him down as he followed Felicity to the dining room. He smiled as he looked around, Amanda and Jessica had certainly transformed the dining room into something magical. Even Felicity stopped and stared in awe. “Amanda, Jessica, you’ve outdone yourselves, this looks like a dream!” the two she-wolves blushed and smiled in pride and Warren was once again happy with his decision. The whole pack was seated around the old large table and he waited until Felicity was seated before he addressed them. “I agree with Felicity, this place looks magical and so different and the food! It looks delicious! Thank you,” he smiled at them causing them to quickly bow their heads. The surprise at his praise had not gone unnoticed and he glanced over to Felicity to see if she had seen it but she was staring at him. “Most of you have already figured out that Felicity is our Luna but I wanted to officially announce that Felicity Lavoie is our Luna and she is my mate,” the wolves cheered and he sat down. He had said his say and he was just about to invite everyone to begin eating when Felicity suddenly stood up. “I must say, thank you to each and every one of you for such a warm welcoming. As I am sure you noticed, I kept Warren waiting before I agreed to leave my beloved pack, but I cant wait to get to know you all and for us to stand together and rebuild not only this village but this pack!” she smiled warmly at all of them and they in turned cheered even louder. “Now let's eat this amazing feast!” she declared before sitting down and Warren felt as if she had slapped him. He was the alpha and she had literally just taken over. He wanted to shout and scream for respect but Wyclef found it attractive and calmed his nerves. - Felicity was exhausted, the feast had been entertaining as she chatted and got to know most of the pack members. She had to be honest with herself, things weren’t looking too bad. All of the pack members had left and Amanda and Jessica had everything up. She looked over at Warren, who was leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed. She smiled as her heart started pounding and she gazed over his handsome features. When he abruptly sat up and opened his eyes, she quickly stood up. “I’m going to head to bed,” she rushed out the words and he frowned at her for a moment. He stood and gently took her hand, she wanted to pull away but was too tired to object as he led her to his bedroom. When he closed the door behind them, that was when panic set in. He had pulled off his shirt and she stared wide-eyed at his muscular toned chest. Felica began making a weird purring noise and Felicity shook her head as if to clear it. He pulled down his pants and she turned away. “Don’t fear me, Felicity, I’m too tired to make any advances tonight,” she turned and watched him climb into bed. She was relieved to see he had boxers on. She took her bag with her to the bathroom and changed into her nightdress. She was uncomfortable sleeping in the same bed as him but he was her mate and there wasn’t another bedroom even close to being ready for her to sleep in. She snuck out of the bathroom and slipped into the bed, under the covers. Felicity lay still as she listened to his loud snores. How was she going to fall asleep with all that noise? She wondered.   Felicity stretched lazily as she opened her eyes. She remembered where she was and looked over to see that Warren was nowhere in sight. Relieved that he wasn’t around, she climbed out of bed and headed into the bathroom. Peaking in, she almost laughed out loud at seeing he wasn’t hiding in the bathroom. She closed and locked the door and turned on the taps to take a relaxing bath. “Mmm this is lovely,” she said to herself as she laid back in the warm water. Closing her eyes, she soaked in the tub for a good twenty minutes before bathing and getting out. She chose her outfit carefully as she knew today was going to get busy. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see Warren sitting on the bed waiting for her. “Oh! Morning,” she greeted him. “Good morning Felicity, did you sleep well?” he asked her and she frowned at the smug look on his face. She wasn’t sure what that was all about but she nodded as she placed her things in the cupboard. “Yes, I did,” “Me too, listen, Jason has taken a couple of wolves into town to get all the supplies and materials you asked for, so I was thinking you could show me your moves,” she turned to him. “My what?” “Your moves,” he repeated and she went to him and slapped him right in his face. “I won’t be showing you any moves!” she snapped and he stood up enraged. “What the f**k! I don’t know what moves you think I was referring too, but I was talking about your fighting style!” he left the room in a huff and she blushed at her silliness. “Ugh!” Felica groaned out. “You slapped him for nothing,” “Oh shut up!” Felicity roared back. She quickly went down to the kitchen and was happy to see that Jessica had prepared breakfast. “Good morning Luna,” “Morning Jessica,” she smiled warmly at her before taking a plate and dishing up some bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs. She sat down at the table and started eating when Amanda walked in. “Morning Luna,” “Morning Amanda,” she continued and finished eating and helped them to clean up the kitchen. Jessica had informed her that the pack had eaten earlier before heading out to town. Felicity wondered where Warren was and she felt she owed him an apology. She headed out to the training grounds and found him attacking a large punching bag. He was wearing a pair of bright red shorts and he was topless. Felicity found herself drooling at him when he suddenly spotted her. “Here to give me another slap in the face?” he asked her aggressively and she blushed. “Warren, I apologize for that,” she went over to him and kissed his cheek. The surprised look on his face was priceless. They stood inches apart and she was tempted to do more than just kiss his cheek. He seemed to have the same thought as he leaned towards her. “So, shall we?” she interrupted the moment and took a step back. “Really Felicity! You suck!” Felica cried out.
