Alastair decided to hold the ball on the full moon. Supernaturals, for some reason, consider the full moon to be a special day where they feel most connected to their Goddess Selene. And so Alastair decided to create a bond with the new members on the special day of the full moon.
It would be a lie to say that I wasn't afraid or nervous that the purpose of this ball would fail. I don't want to see Alastair's disappointed expression after he prepared everything with sincerity. It would be too sad if that happens. Of course, there is a possibility that my worries are unfounded. As a detective, it's in my nature to open my mind to all the possibilities. Just because I'm wishing for everything to go according to our expectations doesn't mean that I could ignore the negative side.
