After our small, not-so-small, flirting, we finally turned to face the crowd together. As a Luna, it was my job to welcome the new pack members and make them feel at home. Aurora had an hour long speech written for me but I skipped them and instead welcomed them with a genuine smile and a simple "Thank you for joining the pack."
Even though my hands shook and my words came out shaky, I finished the speech instead of giving into my fears and dumping everything on Alastair, and I was proud of that. We all start somewhere, right?
