I pulled up to the doctor’s cabin and knocked on the door as gently as I could. As much as I wanted to break down the door and scoop my family up to run away I couldn’t cause sudden panic. Rachel didn’t need that since she was still healing from giving birth.
“Hey, man nice to see you” Mark greets me happily as he lets me in.
I made sure to compose myself before I made my way into the cabin. My red eyes could be easily mistaken for exhaustion from working on the case and not my mental breakdown on the way here.
