This part is never fun, the waiting. We gave every argument we could think of, but with the Master being rich, we were overpowered. I’m hoping that the judge will show leniency, but let’s be honest, money rules the world. Even though we had valid arguments and proof money would win the judge over.
We were dismissed for a recess as the jury came to a decision. Shark and I are sitting outside getting some air trying to keep calm when the bastard tries to approach us.
“Mr. Carlson, may we have a word?” He grits out.
Shark offers him a smirk in return. “Sorry, but as you can see I am busy with my client, we can discuss anything you might need after court when I am no longer on his time.”
