As soon as I spoke up, Roderick hopped so far away from Alex that he was nigh at the other end of the room at that point. He rushed away like Alex was a pool of acid about to burn him.
As Alex scrambled to her feet, I glared the man watching me closely, his uneasy stance giving me the impression that he was about to high tail it.
Not on my watch though.
“What are you doing here when I forbade you from coming near Alex?” My voice was gruff, laced with a hint of my wolf’s. Already I was agitated with the latest developments, or rather restrictions on killing Katherine. I was about to release all this pent up frustration on the bastard in front of me.
