(42) Epilogue
Lisa’s POV After that first trial I was such and emotional mess for weeks. Even when we went to the next trial, I was still emotional. I started going to counseling to help me work through what I was feeling and to make sure that I wouldn’t end up hurting Mike and the girls by clinging to a relationship that was more about security than love. Turned out it was bit of both. Mike had given me more than any other man had ever been for me and in turn it allowed me to be the woman I always wanted to be. At the second trial the prosecutor was able to reference the first trial simply because the hit he took out and tried to get accomplished was based on the actions from the first trial.
