“What’s next then? Can it be cured or will it break into pieces aiming to throw me down on my knees?” asked Kalrain in a hard speech that didn’t even show a trace of fear, weakness or failure intend it complexes a statement of a truly brave man who wasn’t even scared to lose down his arms.
Though he seems weak, useless, and filthy as though he’s been rusted in ashes on the other side, there were these golden eyes of burning fire blazing with the determination of pacing his feet on the path of his unknown awaiting life.
This contest quake the entire crowd of fairies by viewing how uncaring, brave, and fearless he was about his condition. He didn’t faint nor fall in frustration but, instead asked a question that might give him some hope.
Upon hearing this even the Captain and the Doctor smiled pleased by the mental strength of the boy and his body. The Doctor nodded and replied “I will do my duty first”
He glowed his left palm, over it two rolls of grey color bandages appeared in a colossal size for him but, for Kalrain it was just as normal as any bandage roll.
The Doctor fairy placed the roll on the ground, by his patient, holding one he pulled it open where on the inside layer of the bandage roll it was sparkling with shiny glitters in blue color. He turned to the soldiers ordering them to hold the roll behind as it would roll over and over flipping while opening.
Three to five soldiers flew in front and held the roll-on air.
In the meantime, the Doctor fairy flew himself towards Kalrain’s right shoulder, he swiped the boy’s old sleeves back so it won’t disturb, ordering another two soldiers to hold on to it.
As Kalrain watched, the Doctor placed the bandage on his arm and began to wrap it around his right arm. As the bandage rested around his arm, the patient could feel a cool sensation with smooth moisture soaking his skin.
Round and round the Doctor went wrapping around the thin lifeless arm and everyone was watching in great interest with pin-drop silence. The wrapping kept rolling around over his arm, going lower and lower, from forearm till elbows, from elbows till the lower forearm around the wrist till it arrived on his palm where the Doctor carefully began to cover up each finger of the large palm without leaving a corner space revealed. Once the last piece was tied the first roll was finished.
This grew the audience more in surprise eager to know what would the Doctor do next, on the contrary, the old fairy Doctor quietly without a word went to the other roll accompanying the five soldiers, together with the support of the other two fairies who were responsible to hold the sleeves, all turned to the left arm and began their work.
Kalrain was watching in silence their work when the kitten Elmore who was on his lap, climbed with its paw carefully over his shirt not letting his nails hurt his master. It stood on his right shoulder, paced over his nape, and stood on the left shoulder watching the fairies work. It was obviously very interesting in viewing what they were doing with his master. The work of the fairies remained a poem of the kinder garden which is always sung by the children when they spin around a pole:
Here we go around the merry bush,
Merry bush, merry bush,
Here we go around the merry bush,
All-day long!
But, here the poem went in the opposite way which got converted this way,
Here we go around Kalrain’s arm,
Kalrain’s arm, Kalrain’s arm,
Here we go around Kalrain’s arm,
All-day along….
On the other side, Kalrain smiled helplessly to find himself a stand of different creatures on himself. A Fairy doc, fairy soldiers, some citizen fairies around him, and on top of it, a kitten on his shoulder…..
What else could he do? He was the only odd being in this area and everyone was eagerly viewing in great interest what was happening with him?
No choice……
Finally, when the last wrapping was over, a cold relief from the server pain revealed from under the grey bandages, all over his arm till the hands. He felt the coldness in his arm, lightweight as a feather, no sign of agony or boulder in his arms and hands.
A beaming smile with excitement cheers brightened the poor patient’s complex from yellow pains remarking on his face, “I feel so easy and coldness on them it’s so great!” exclaimed the boy aloud finally getting relief from the horrible injures.
“Lift them up my boy” encouraged the doctor by looking at the boy’s delight as he noticed in his golden eyes tears of pleasure.
Slowly and carefully Kalrain lifted it up both his arms, opening them wide, and lifted them high on the air. At first, he was kind of panicked by remembering all the agony that happened to both his hand but once the two organs ran up to the air without any ouch or Eh!
Kalrain shouted out in great excitement, “I FEEL NO PAIN! THEY ARE FINE! YES!” all the fairies grew excited by viewing this that they all began to cheer up loud and clap in cheers, and delights for the human. Some even flew to the sky circling around the two bandaged arms for the victory.
The scene appeared as fireflies rotating around two tall trees in the middle of the open forest under the sunlight of the afternoon sky.
“Hahahaha!” laughed the Doctor by looking at the small celebration cheered among the human and the fairies. He smiled with the brightest smile of his life which even astonished the Captain who was by his side cause for the first time in his life, he view this happiness from that old doctor.
About lowering his arms, as the kitten sat on his left shoulder with his two paws straight front, Kalrain looked straight at the doctor and bowed greeting, “Doctor, I have nothing to gift you but just my humble bow to you out of respect. Thank you so much for such hard work. Thank you so much again!” the doctor shook his head and replied,
“There is no need to thank me with this much regards. It’s my job to heal my creature of any type with all my ability and strength plus, with whatever I can. This is a duty of every top tier rank holder all over this world to provide support to the needy”.
“Wow!” surprised Kalrain by hearing this as he noticed the odd fact in his sentence which he converted into a question mark, “a top tier rank? Are there many others like you in this world too with the same ability?”
“Yes, my boy” replied the doctor “For your knowledge, there is always a single top tier rank in every town, village, city or kingdom and of different forms elements, abilities, creatures, cultures, beings, or rulers. It’s a common fact in Guardiya”.
“Cool!” excitement Kalrain closing his fist but then a question caught his head and he asked, “ummmm…. About these rolls…..” he asked while looking at his hands not to mention he was illegal he didn’t know what was it called but all he could say it a roll, “What are they for and why did you wrap my whole hand in it?”
“It’s a unique technique of mine which I use rarely called the decent bandage” explained the Doctor adding that while this will be around your arms it will protect your bones from receiving any heavy damage, or jolts on it. It won’t protect your flesh and meat but will be a barrier on the bones. If anything hits or vibrates the bones, this bandage will avoid it while reducing its volume completely
“Hence, there is a limitation to its due” warned the Doctor “it will protect you all the way but, once your structure breaks or hopefully recovers the rolls which is called bandage will soon peel off itself returning the arms into their normal state. Try to be careful out there my boy. This world is growing dangerous from time to time”. He sounded grave which grew Kalrain's caution.
Now that he got great support in his arms he could easily move it all around as normally like any human being of his type but, the fact here was the more his task end, the more the list of assignments are waiting behind.
Kalrain had a lot of questions to ask about his surroundings however, everything needed to be in its timing and the boy had to be patient.
As he sat solemn “MEOW!” the baby kitten climbed down his shoulder and sat on his leg, looking at it Kalrain remembered an important question of all before he fell in a brief detail of his confusion.
“Ah!” the moment he was about to speak
TING!
Mister No One appeared with its tag beside him right next to Elmore with a bracket,
(Since you have found the solution to your arm, it is time you head on your road. Your Highness, Guardiya is facing danger. You are still at the beginning of your pace and the threats are speeding up. You need to get a move on your boots and find your way to your throne. You need to protect your throne by building a lordship with your own name. Your Highness, you are way too back, you need to fill your name in the hall of flame. You are in the ashes and need to rise from it)
Kalrain read all these messages and nodded agreeing to every word, letter, and sentence this No One was warning about. Though, he didn’t understand who was behind this scene or how was it appearing but, the least thought was there that this thing knew the threats and way.
The tag disappeared and there came another written:
(Your Highness according to your recent status you need to improve and the first step to do is fulfilling the missions that are constable on you)
The tag vanished and there came a long menu written:
[Mission 2: Head to the Starlight dungeon and clear the stage]
“A dungeon huh?” thought Kalrain to himself “this isn’t going to be easy at all”.
