My first love

Dhvani's POV "Finally I am going to one of the top university in this province. I have finally got my admission in Royal Elite University but my dad was not in the favour of mine regarding this issue. Anyway, I convinced my dad to accept my decision", I am thinking to myself while combing my hair. " Dhvani, are you ready dear?", I listened a familiar voice coming from downstairs it's my dad. "Yes, dad" , I replied. My mom went to see my grandma so my dad now-a-days take care of my meals. "Time for breakfast", He again shouted from downstairs. " Coming dad", I replied and went downstairs. We both started our breakfast while sitting in the dining room and I must say my dad is a good chef. "Wow!! bread omelette", I took a small bite, "Delicious dad", I exclaimed. " As long as you like it dear", he smiled. "So you are going to this university ", he give me a pointed look. " Yes dad, please", I gave my most innocent look. " Okay, but I have one condition", he said. "What condition?", I asked with some fear and given a suspicious look. "You must not fight with anyone and must excel in both studies and activities", he said. " I don't have problem with studies but why activities dad? you know I am not good at extracurricular activities and all!!!", I raised my tone a little. "Okay then, change to another college", he said while eating. "No,no ,no , I will participate in activities too..", I said. " Okay then, Congratulations on your first day of college and enjoy your time, bye", he said and went to the company. "Thank god!! atleast he agreed " , I sighed in relief. Meanwhile I packed my bag and was about to go to school, I saw my best friend Roohi who is waiting for me. "Dhvani , Shall we go to the college together ", she screamed from outside. I locked the door. " Okay", I yelled. We both sat in her car and started our journey to our college. We started clicking selfies and excited to go to college. She is more excited as she can see her childhood lover 'Vansh' in that college. "Someone is really excited to got to college?", I teased. "Yes, I sacrificed my sleep for many nights to get admission in this college and asked my dad not to use any of his power", she said with mushy smile. "Ohh...", I gave her a teased look. "Okay, I happy that I can see him, happy?", she shyly replied. We both smiled. Soon we reached our college . We got off the car. We both took a deep breath and entered the college. "Let's see how many surprises this college have for me", I said to myself. We both entered the college. Many seniors are giving us instructions and explaining the different blocks in college. I was in awe by the excellence of architecture and structure of college. I loved it! I joined in Computer science major which is my favourite subject and Roohi joined the same too. Soon we headed to the big auditorium which was decorated and all the seniors gave a warm welcome to us. I felt really happy. I sat with Roohi and was eagerly waiting for the speech as I heard our principal is from Computer Science major too. There are many honourable chief guests and officials who contributed to our university and all of them took there chance to enlighten us. Our principal has finally delivered his speech and all the students given a round of applause to him. After principal speech, the anchor called some person named Dhruv Oberoi who will give vote of thanks and close this ceremony and all of a sudden there is a big excitement in the crowd. "What is going on? Why all are so excited? Is he an idol or what?", I asked in both irritated and confused tone. Then a girl all of a sudden walked towards me , " You don't know about D3 ? Are you from this planet?", she asked me with a weird expression on her face. "You don't know Dhruv? How can you not know him?" "Do I have to know them?", I asked with no expression. " Dhvani, stop it! please..For god sake please stop it ..and sit with me", she said in low voice. "Why I have to stop?", I asked in a irritated tone and with a raised tone. " Is he fairies or angel? or Is he a celebrity? or Is he a some popular idol", I asked with a sarcastic smile. "Why I have to know them?", I asked by glaring that girl who is infront me. "Dhvani don't mess with her and come with me. Because D3 is beside you. Stop it and sit with me", she said. Realisation passed over me. All I can say is there are three persons in front of me. There is a really an angry face in front of me and the other two are smiling at me in a weird way. I don't know what to do and what to say. I felt disoriented for a second and I calmed myself and sat in my seat. Those three headed forward. In three, two of them sat at front seats and the one with angry faced man headed towards the stage and I understood that he is 'Dhruv Oberoi '. By his speech I got to know that he is also from Computer Science major and by his speaking ability I can say he is a geek. He thanked everyone. While auditorium is excited and enjoyed his speech and applauded him. At last the principal also praised him that he is a good student and made many achievements in a very less age. Soon all the students are leaving the seminar hall and are heading towards there own departments and blocks. Roohi and I are leaving for our class but we heard some voice. We turned back and look at the one who called us and it is 'Dhruv'. Roohi came to my rescue and stand infront of me, " Dhruv it's just a misunderstanding. Can you slide it for once", she asked with cute face. "This matter doesn't concern you dear", he said in a soft voice. She gave signals to Vansh to convince him but he was like a rock and doesn't give a look back to her. 'What a cold- hearted jerk!' , I said to my inner self. Dhruv was glaring at me and I cannot do anything. As I was wrong and I decided to apologise to him. " I'm sor...", I was about to say it. "If you are trying to get my attention. I must say you are succeeded", he said with a raised tone.... I was really speechless. I can't able to understand what he was thinking. " What? me? trying to get your attention? In your dreams!", I said with a sarcastic smile. His face turned red with anger. "Hey, your name Dhruv Malhotra or Oberoi , I HAVE NO INTEREST ON YOU, so don't worry", I pated his shoulder. His friends and Roohi were shocked with my action. I laughed at them as they opened there mouth wide. "As I was wrong before, I'm sorry, take it easy", I left all of them in the auditorium and went to my block. "Wait! wait for me dhvani", Roohi yelled behind. "Catch me if you can", I screamed. Roohi started running towards me and I started running. Ofcourse, she is faster than me in running. Poor me! We both headed to our block. Dhruv POV " She doesn't know who am I ? right?", I said with a frown looking towards friends. "She is the only one who can speak infront of you without stuttering... hehe..", Ryan said with a sarcastic smile. " You...You....", I pointed my finger towards Ryan. "Yes...Yes....me me !!", he chuckled and started running. Vansh and I chased Ryan and ran out of auditorium. We reached to our club in our university which is specially made for us. The money we got by our achievements. We three sat in the room. " Hey, Vansh your sweetheart is here! What are you going to do?", Ryan asked Vansh in a sheepishly manner. Vansh on the other side got irritated and decided to calm down .Vansh know it is waste to argue with this man. "None of your business", he smirked at Ryan. " You gotta so many tactics", he replicated a smirk to him as well. "Wait ! wait! I will call Roohi to set a date for you both", he started to call Roohi. " Hey, hey!! give me your phone , give me your phone", they started fighting with each other. "Stop it!!", I shouted at them for their childish talk. I have to teacher her a lesson. Who is she?How can she show attitude towards me? I mean how? I kept asking this question to myself. " I WILL TEACH HER A LESSON", I shouted in that way that my voice was resounded. Ryan and Vansh are shocked. "What are you going to do?", Vansh asked me with a worried tone. " Yeah! What are you going to do? It's just a small matter. Don't do anything stupid", Ryan said with a frown on his face. "Why ? This my place and I can do anything ", I said with a determination that I will make her regret for what she said. " It's just a small matter my friend", Vansh said by patting my shoulder. "She is a good friend for Roohi too. Please let it slide for once..", he continued " Oh!! Someone is really worried for Roohi", Ryan smirked. Vansh was helpless so he just glared. "Vansh stay out of it!", I raised my voice. " If you do anything outrageous you will not have us on your side in this matter", Vansh said in a very I mean a very serious tone. "Yes! I agree with Vansh in this case", Ryan at last said something serious. " Vansh....", I shouted. She just appeared in my life but she managed to snatch my friends from me. She is more than I expected. Dhvani , I will see your end of your attitude...... Dhvani's POV After some introduction to our major the classes end in a good note. I am really happy to study in this Royal Elite university. I started smiling by myself. "Shall we go to home", Roohi appeared suddenly and I was startled by her sudden appearance. " Roohi!! Can just make sone while coming", I said breathlessly. " Hey, you are not in this world", she said in a irritating tone. "Don't be scared and Don't worry...I will persuade Dhruv to leave you", she is assuring me with a smile on her face. " Silly girl , Why I have to be scared? I have not done anything wrong", I said with an attitude. " Okay okay my strong woman you can handle anything ", she surrendered herself to my narcissism. " Hmm...Let's go to home", I said to her. We both sat in the car. Roohi dropped me first and she went off. I opened the lock of the door and went to my room. I have freshened up. I am sitting in front the mirror. Suddenly I recalled Dhruv and what he said. "What is he thinking of himself?", I said to myself and smirked. Anyway I should maintain some distance with him. I don't like him at all. Ring....Ring.... My phone started to ring. " Dad's call', I said while taking tge phone. "Hello, Dad , where are you? Why are you not at home yet?", I asked in a concerned tone. " There is a lot of work pending . I will be late so eat by yourself for today and go to bed early dear", he said in a hurry manner. "Okay dad, don't worry, but have you dinner for sure dad...You must take care of your health", I literally warned by dad as he is a workaholic. " Ok dear, Bye", he said. "Bye dad", I said. I went downstairs to kitchen to see what can I cook. " What I have to do", I said to myself by looking at different drawers in kitchen I finally got one instant noodles pack. I will cook this one. I don't anything to cook but instant noodles is a piece of cake . I ate noodles and went to my room. I studied for sometime and went to bed. Next morning, When I woke up it was already 7:30am. "What is this? I slept too much", I said to myself. " Dad didnt wake me up..dad...dad", I went downstairs. There is note left on the table. I started reading that note. " I have one important business trip dear for 2 months. I have shopped all the groceries and made breakfast...I will be back soon. Take care dear, Dad", He must be very busy. I shouldn't disturb him. I called my dad's secretary. "Hello", I said. " Hello, Ms Dhvani . How can I help you", he said in a professional tone. "Is there something that is troubling my dad", I said. " Trouble? No ma'am.. ", he said. " Okay, Please take care of my dad", I said. "Of course ma'am... I am accompanying sir ...Please don't worry", he said in a assured tone. " Okay .. Thank you", I said. " Okay ma'am ", he said. I was relaxed when I spoke to my dad's secretary. I went upstairs and started getting ready for college. Roohi called me and is waiting for me downstairs. After getting ready and I locked my door and we both sat in the car. We reached our university soon. We both entered the college. There is a crowd and the students are really excited. We both looked each other. Roohi dragged me as she was really curious to know , what is going on there? As I expected, temper is D3 group. Dhruv was holding a mic to announce something. Dhruv glared at me. That is a cold glare. I royally ignored it. On the other side, Roohi's eyes were stick on Vansh. Dhruv started to speak infront of the crowd with a firm voice, " Dear students, As you all know D3 group is now in final year and we will be graduating soon. So we decided to host a fresher's party for our juniors". Vansh and Ryan are also confused by the act of Dhruv. "Everyone must attend the party. The party details will be posted soon. ", he said and started walking away from the crowd. The crowd were really excited and applauded him. Three of them started to move away from the crowd. He walked towards me and said, " I will wait for you", by glaring at me angrily. "What is he waiting for? I don't understand a thing", I said to myself. It has been two days since Dhruv announced the party. I just doesn't feel right about it. There is something that I can't sense properly. Tomorrow is the fresher's day and the venue I mean the hotel they selected is really expensive. Well let's see what happens. Roohi has selected my dress for tomorrow. I went to bed after eating. I wake up in the morning, had breakfast and studied for a while. As party starts from night, I can study morning and I know I can't neglect studies. From afternoon I started getting ready for the party. Later I went to bathroom and did my business. Roohi has selected a long frock for me. It is a pink color gown. After searching some YouTube videos, I decided to tie a french bun. I applied some makeup. After getting ready, I finally see myself infront of the mirror and adimiring my beauty. I went downstairs and Roohi was waiting near the gate. I was stunned when I saw her. She wore a long dress which is really looked good on her. We both sat in a car. The car headed towards the hotel. Soon we reached the hotel. I was really in awe seeing the royalty of the hotel. It has nice interior design and well-maintained. One person lead the way to venue. We both are really excited. We entered the lift and the person pressed 40th floor. After a ting! sound we finally reached the venue. A lot of people are already gathered. All are waiting for D3. After we entered the big hall. Roohi and I started meeting our friends and having a really nice time. "D3 is here!! D3 is here!!!", someone screamed with excitement. All our attention was shifted those three! Dhruv was giving me a deadly glare. On the other hand, Roohi's face was filled with love by seeing Vansh who is not giving any attention to her. " Love is blind", I muttered. Dhruv went up to the stage and said, " I hope all of you are having a good time. Now to make our party memorable we can dance in couples. There are different masks here but are in pairs and in different bowls. All of you pick any mask in that bowl. The girl and the boy who got a same mask will be a pair for the dance...okay?", he said. The crowd cheered him. All of us picked each masks and started to find our pair. The most cute moment in the whole party is that Vansh and Roohi are a pair. Even god helps them. The most tragic moment in the whole party is that Dhruv and I are a pair. God didn't help me though. " Dhruv, I dont know how to dance. So can you find another partner", I said to him. " Just follow my steps", he said sweetly. "Hey, please don't mind..but I can't really dance", I said with a raised tone. " I said to follow my steps, You don't understand anything for one time", he raised his tone and gave me a deadly glare. I was really scared. All of us wore the mask. We all stood in pairs. Soon the music started. All of us started moving through the rhythm. Dhruv hold my waist and my hand. I placed my right hand on his shoulder and left hand in his hand. His hold was really tight that my chest is colliding with him. I tried to distance ourselves but it is not possible for me. I can only see his eyes which are filled with pain, hurt and unknown emotions. I haven't seen him clearly on the first day of our college but he is so handsome. He's wearing a black suit with a armani which suited him very well. He has good skin tone, a long nose, a perfect hair style. This is the reason why he has so many admirers. I was following his foot steps. But my heels are landing on his feet He was in pain but he's still offering a smile to me. His eyes are saying something and his face is saying something. Dhruv has become a riddle to me and I want to solve this riddle. When I was thinking this all things. He suddenly left my hands. As I was not attentive and fell to the ground. The waiter who is coming with the drinks fell on me and my dress. All started laughing at me. Roohi ran towards me to help. I can't able to walk properly. There might be sprain. I was trying to get up but I fell down again. All are laughing at me which made me a little embarrassed. I felt really bad for what happened. "Now I think you know the position of yours", Dhruv again spouting his nonsense. " This is the punishment for your mistake", he said. By the help of Roohi, I stood up and glared at Dhruv. "Is it fun to disrespect others", I shouted on him. Ryan and Vansh asked everyone to leave. Only D3, Roohi and I are left in the hall. " Tell me, Is it fun to disrespect others?", I screamed again. "Dhvani , please calm down", Roohi started to rub my back. " Dhruv? why are you doing this?", Roohi asked dhruv in a angry tone. "She insulted me first", he said turning towards Roohi. " Dhruv , she doesn't know about D3 at all. She know only about Vansh.", she added. "So you planned this party just to embarrass me. Is it all pre-planned", I shouted at him. " We are now even right. Don't ever appear infront of me again. I hate you!", I screamed. I walked out. Roohi started running towards me. " You went overboard today my friend", Vansh and Ryan said to Dhruv and followed Roohi to exit. "Roohi! leave me alone, I can go home on my own", I lost my temper on Roohi for the first time. Realization passed me!! " Sorry dear, leave me for a while. I will talk to you tomorrow", I said to Roohi while patting her shoulder. I entered the lift and pressed the ground floor. All of a sudden lift got stopped. I panicked and started screaming for help. "Help! help me please help", I screamed and was about to fall on the ground as I was dizzy. I felt a strong arms around me who stopped me from falling. I think it is a bit familiar face. I can't get to take a good look of his face. I lost my consciousness. The last sentence, I listened is, " Are you alright?", the man asked with a deep voice. ...... .....
