Chapter 20

As the sun slowly began to set I was driving the family back home. Everyone was sleeping in the back. We spent the whole afternoon at the beach. One, so my mates had plenty of time to rest and two the children really needed the time out. They went just about till sundown and probably could have went a bit long but so glad we didn’t. Mom was lightly snoring beside me. Just getting out of the hospital I think we may have pushed her a little to much.

As we got into the pack house I gathered Patric in my arms and walked him up the stairs to his bedroom where I snuggled him into his bed. He murmured something before falling back asleep. I closed his door and walked back down for marcus and Esmerelda after I woke mom. She was startled but finally calmed down and followed me up the stairs. She helped with Marcus before we put Esmerelda down. I walked her to her room before I went and parked the car in the parking lot. I was glad I decided to change them into pjs before we left the beach.

“All good Luna?” A warrior spoke as I entered the kitchen. I looked over and smile. I quickly whipped up some sandwiches and passed him a plate.

“Would you please take this to Beta Andrew’s room. He is probably hungry.” I told him. The warrior nodded as he left. I walked up to my room and placed the plate on the desk in my mates office before coming here.. My mates where still sleeping causing me to sigh. I kissed them both on the cheek before I walked into Marcus room. I made sure he was tucked in before leaving to the couch in there office. I must have fallen asleep waiting for them because the next thing I knew I was being snuggle into a chest as they talked.

“She is so beautiful when she sleeps.” Cameron says as he holds me tight.

“Will you take her to the room. I will go see what taking Andrew so long.” Caiden went to leave but I some how managed to grab his hand.

“Did you eat?” I asked sheepishly.

“No.” Caiden gently growled.

“I will get Andrew for you if you sit down and eat.” I told him as I let him go and stretched. Cameron didn’t let go of me till I went to stand. Caiden was walking for the door to which I flicked my wrist causing it to lock. He turned and looked at me. I pointed to the sandwiches.

“You have to go to bed. It’s much to late for you.” He snarled

“And you have been running around without proper food Or sleep for much to long.” I snapped at him. Two can play at this grumpy game.

“Av.” He growled.

“No Caiden. Please eat so I can relieve the stress. It’s like you all are avoiding your responsibility to others. Mom is worried sick and you children keep asking me where there daddies are.” I said gently. “Mom hasn’t smiled since she has been out of the hospital and I know it’s because she doesn’t get to see you two anymore.”

“Tell her we are fine things have just come up.” Caiden snapped walking back to the door. I didn’t release the magic so it stayed locked even as he pulled on it.

“I promise Av I will get him to eat.” Cameron said placing his hands on my shoulder.

“I’m not leaving untill I have at least seen you both eat.” I said to them. “Please.”

“Baby please don’t do this. We have very important things we need to discuss and don’t have time for this.” Caiden snapped as he tried the door again.

“What’s more important then giving your mate a peace of mind you are eating.” I cried.

“Because of you.” Caiden snapped. Causing me to shutter. Something has happened because of me. I knew it, I was cursed. I shouldn’t be here any longer. I quickly flicked my hand and the door opened.

“I’m sorry.” I spoke as I ran out of the office right past a very frozen Caiden. It was like he didn’t realise what was coming out his mouth till it did.

“You freaking idiot.” Cameron cried as I heard him following. I didn’t care. My curse was falling on them, It was hurting them. I had to get out of here. I raced to Marcuse’s room and stood by the door. My eyes falling on him sleeping peacefully. When a nock came to my room I heard the door open and someone entered. “Baby he didn’t mean it. I promise.”

I sat there as tears fell down my cheeks. I have caused this pack panic like all the others I have been in. How could I have been so stupid to think it would disappear when I found my mates. But now my heart is breaking because my boys have made a life here. They are going to school now. I cant take that away from them. I head my door in the other room as someone ran down the hall.

“Mom.” Marcus gently spoke causing me to be startled.

“I’m sorry to wake you honey. Go back to sleep.” I told him walking over and kissing his cheek.

“Mom your crying.” He spoke as he quickly got out of bed and wrapped his arms around me. Patric must of heard him because he came running into my lap.

“They have found us again and I don’t know what to do.” I cried to them as I hugged them both. “Both of you have made a good life here and are so happy.”

“We leave right now mom. We leave and head into the city. Pull them away from the pack.” Marcus spoke as he got up and pulled out his suit case.

“We just need to have a safe home to live in to go to school. Plus mommy your more important then school.” Patric happily spoke. “I would rather be with you then school.”

“I love you baby. Go grab anything you want to take.” I gently told him. He quickly raced back to his room as I walked into mine.

“Your leaving aren’t you.” Esmeralda spoke. It startled me.

“I have caused the pack to be in threat. I cant stay.” I told her though it hurt.

“I’m coming with you.” She said. Her bag in hand. I was shocked.

“I got the money.” Mom spoke as she popped around the doorframe. “I knew this was bothering the boys and I knew you would want to leave. I had told Esmeralda.”

“Mom the pack needs there Luna in all this.” I spoke upset.

“Yes the pack needs there Luna. But if the Luna is going to leave to protect her people I leave with her.” She smiled at me as she walked over with her purse and a bag. “You my child are the Luna of this pack and there is no way the young grandma is going to let her child leave with three children and no money.”

“I don’t know if we can return.” I told her upset. She just smiled and helped me pack. She didn’t care. She had found her daughter and she wasn’t going to lose me. Said once the boys had things under control they will find them. Together we raced down the stairs and out towards the forest.

“No car.” I told them when mom tried to go that way. I made the luggage a necklace and placed it on my neck before a phased. Mom was in so much shock to see me. Marcus and Patric jumped on my back as I encouraged mom to phase.

“If you cant don’t push yourself.” Marcus said gently. Mom was just in shock of my wolf. She quickly phased to a light grey wolf and Esmeralda jumped on her. I took off into the forest even though I heard my mates calling for me. I couldn’t do this to them. I had to keep them all safe. They had to be drawn from the pack. I don’t know what I would do or how to get rid of this curse but I have to find out.

“Maybe it is actually a person after you.” Mom barked trying to help me. I looked at her and nodded. It was the only logical thing. But if they where after me what did I do.

‘I hope not. Things could get worse then.’ I barked back. By the time sun hit we where a huge distance from the pack. We had run at least three city's away. I sighed knowing the boys would have to start school here not to mention Esmerelda. Mom and I stopped at the top of the hill and looked down to the city.

“Mom can we go back to home school. I don’t really like school.” Marcus asked as he looked down on what would be our home for a little while. “it’s boring.”

“Yeah, kids stupid my age.” Patric piped up causing me to nod. I laid down there so they could get off and I phased back to my human. As Mom did I made sure to cloth her.

“Wow definitely not as young as I use to be.” She said a little out if breath. “No this is not your fault. That was a fine pace.”

“Let’s go find some breakfast and a place to rest.” I smiled at her as we each grabbed a child’s hand and walked into the city. Fear etching in again as I was on edge. Back to normal life once more. This time however the Luna was with me and not dying. Hopefully things get better though my heart felt like it had been broken.
