Super was served quickly as plates where being given out by waiters. I was so happy to see stake, garlic mash potatoes and steamed lemon asparagus. The smell was mouth watering. I waited of course till everyone was served before I dug in. No it wasn’t because in the other packs I was forced to eat last, it was a sign of respect from my birth pack. The Luna would never eat at any function till everyone was served as a sign of respect. I happily dug in once the last plate was laid. My mates look…..oh just the thought of me being able to call them mates sent shivers down my spine. Who knew a women like me could be so lucky to have them. To have two mates. The moon goddess must have given me two to help me get over the fact I have no wolf.
“Its getting cold Av.” Cameron whispered in my ear. I smiled at him as I dug in getting a smile from the two of them. The supper was perfect, we enjoyed each others company by quietly eating. I knew the guys wanted to say and ask so many things but they didn’t. Maybe they would later.
Once everyone ate supper and where full the tables where pulled away so the floor was bare for dancing. Cameron had me on the dance floor before a dance battle broke out between the two. I was the poor ping pong ball between the two paddles as I was passed back and forward. I got so dizzy I had to excuse myself to sit down.
They both stayed close as they kept up with there little battle. I laughed gently as I watched them from the chair. Others had joined the dance floor as the music nicely filled the hall. It was perfect dance music and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
The hall was filled with summer cocktail dresses and men in dress shirts and mixed with dress pants to Jean’s of all kinds. It was nice to be here. Scary at first but now I feel like I can do anything as long as my mates, my alphas will be at my side. In truth I think that’s all I ever needed. Well I guess in truth I just wanted the love of an Alpha like that of which my father gave me. Now here I have it and more. I now have a pack, one I was rightful Luna for. This was a pack filled with love and dedication. You could see the werewolves all bowing there heads in appreciation and dedication to me. They respected me and I have done nothing but appreciate them the way my mates did.
This position was what I was born for. This is what my mom wanted to see me as. A tear gently trickled down my cheek as I remembered her. The beautiful grace of the moon goddess that ran her pack with so much love and devotion. I hope to be able to rule this pack like her. To even be able to step close to the level of Luna she was would make me proud. This though caused me to chuckle. She trained me to be the greatest Luna, teaching me all the tricks of the trade so I could surpass her. Now, even if she isn’t mine, I get to pass those to my own daughter.
“Luna?” A voice spoke gently as I looked over at a beautiful young girl. She had an emerald green dress on to match that of her eyes. It was beautiful and poufy. Her long black hair was French braided back.
“Yes.” I gently smiled at her. She raced up to me and grabbed my hand before dragging me away from the chair. I looked over to try and get one of my mates attention but they where gone. Now fear was etching in a little.
“I got the Luna.” The young girl squealed to her friends whom all jumped over to me and happily squealed. I just smiled as my eyes fell over each of them. They where all so beautiful.
“Your so pretty.” One of the girls spoke, another nodded with her.
“We hated Olivia. She was so mean.” A fourth spoke.
“Grace don’t speak of your aunt like that.” A women said coming up to the young girl. The others ran as Grace hid behind me. This women a beautiful replica of her daughter. “She will be a better Luna then this thing any day. Where did they pull you out of, the swamp.”
“I came of a bus two weeks ago.” I spoke gently. “And I see where Olivia is a better Luna then I but she also lacks a lot of things a Luna needs.”
“And let me guess you have what she lacks. You are nothing compared to her. Plus she looks better with Caiden then you ever will.” The women hissed. This caused me to growl. I didn’t even hide it because he was mine. “Now if I where you take that bugle body of yours and pack your things. Your not welcomed here. Come Grace.”
“I will not leave. I have my life here.” I spoke gently giving Grace a hug before she ran to her moms outstretched hand. She looked at me with a glare before walking away. Yep I just made yet another enemy. With a sighed I gently turned to have a hot substance run down the front of my dress.
“You are nothing compared to Olivia.” The women spat at me as she dropped the mug. The mug shattered as it contacted the floor. A few pieces hit my leg leaving a few small cuts. “Your nothing but an Omega. Now I suggest you clean up the mess. Don’t want the Alphas to be mad.”
“Enough.” A man spoke from behind me. I turned to his apologetic look. He bent down and began to pick up the pieces. “It hit you.”
“No don’t worry. There just small cuts.” I gently spoke as I knelt down to help him.
“If pieces get stuck in there healing wont be good.” He spoke concerned.
“I promise they will heal.” I smiled at him as he nodded. I have had it happen before. My body pushes out the pieces as it heals it.
“I’m sorry about my wife’s behavior Luna.” He spoke once the pieces where picked up. He helped me to my feet. “She has ruined your dress.”
“Don’t worry about it. I’m going to go clean it up. Have you seen the Alphas? I got separated from them.” I wanted to cry in their arms to have them comfort me. Yeah I know, weak luna, but I just really wanted my mates.
“I have not Luna. I’m sorry but I will let them know you are looking for them.” He smiled gently. I smiled with him as he led me to the bathroom to which I was appreciative. He made sure I was okay before heading out to find the Alphas. Entering the room I locked the door and made sure no one was in a stall. I quickly turned on the water and slowly pulled it from the tap to my dress where slowly I was able to pull the coffee stain out and not leave the dress wet. Taking a deep breath to try and hold back the dizzy spell that has swept over me I take a step towards the door.
Exiting the bathroom I saw the line up and apologized to the women who all smiled at me saying it was okay. I walked along the wall towards the party. I didn’t feel safe on my feet right now.
“If it isn’t the Luna.” Grace’s Mom said as she stepped in front of me before I could enter the hall.
“Please move.” I gently said as I stood where I was. Fear slowly etching in. I didn’t want to hurt anyone and I knew if I passed out or fell I would embarrass the Alphas. They where strong and showed it. They didn’t need people to see there Luna so weak.
“What’s wrong Luna not feeling good.” She chuckled. “See you got the coffee stain out.”
“Yes, water helps a lot.” I gently said to her. I wasn’t going to reveal my secret. She glared before she grabbed my arm harshly. She began to drag me away from the door and the wall. She threw me to the floor before I could do anything. I slowly sat up before I somehow made it to my feet.
“I know who you are Avnisha. You’re the daughter whom let her mother die in the forest.” She chuckled. “You left a Luna to die and you think you can run a pack.”
“She told me to run, I was obey my mother.” I said back. It was true, my mom told me to run. She stepped forward and smacked me hard causing me to hit the floor. A growl came from me but she kicked me hard in the gut sending me sprawling to the wall. My hand traveling to my cracked ribs praying they did heal properly. She went to kick me again but I grabbed her foot with my other hand as I laid on my side. Oh was she mad. She ripped her foot from me before she went and stomped on me. I tried to stop it but I couldn’t. Her heal ripped through my dress and pierced right into my flesh. I didn’t even know that was possible. My screamed filled the hall causing silence. “Scream, because like your mother no one is going to help you.”
“Avnisha.” Someone cried as the women above me was pulled away and I was pulled into some ones lap. The gentle sparks gave me relief as I knew it was my mate. I didn’t care at this moment who it was. Just the fact one of them was here was good enough for me.
“Olivia is the only Luna this pack needs. Not a Luna killing wolf.” She cried in anger. “She probably killed those poor boys mom and took them as her own.”
“Can it Shiyan.” Caiden’s voice roared. “Patric get your mate out of here before I rip her apart myself.”
“Yes Alpha.” A male spoke from somewhere.
“I was obeying my mother.” It came out in a whispered as I looked up into the worried face of Cameron.
“Shhh baby. You did nothing wrong.” He gently cried as his hand found the hole in my side. I whimpered from the pain. “Caiden.”
“Its okay brother. We got her.” He spoke gently as he came to the other side and helped his brother to his feet I was in there arms as they raced me out the door. The limo was waiting for us. We where helped in before they moved it down the road. “You need to be positive for her. Don’t frighten her or it will get worse.”
“I'm so…”
“No we left you alone.” Caiden growled. Cameron was crying as he held me close, his hand still on my wound. I wish deep wounds such as this healed faster. I hated them being so worried.
“Caiden.”
“Its okay Cameron, nothing is going to happen to her.” I looked up at Cameron whom was crying hysterically. I raised my hand to his cheek causing his eyes to fall on me.
“Hi baby.” He smiled as he placed a hand on mine which I was thankful for.
“I’m going to be okay.” I gently whispered to him. He nodded as he tried to stop his tears. “I am a werewolf. I’m just tired.”
“The hospital just ahead.” Some one called.
“See very close.” I smiled at him. I don’t know what hurt more. The hole in my side or the pain seeing him cry.
“You cant leave us. Please.” He cried leaning down and placing his lips on my forehead. “We just got you and we can lose you.”
“We are almost there Av. Just hold on a little more for us.” Caiden spoke trying to hold back his tears. I knew he was angry they had left me alone. They promised to be at my side the whole night. None of this was there fault. I stepped away from them.
“I wont leave.” I gently said back as new hands reached in and grabbed me. I was taken from my mates as the pain became unbearable. Soon darkness took me as the doctors began to prep whatever they where prepping.
‘I'm sorry Babies. Mommy wont be home tonight.’ Was the last thing I said before all was quiet.
