Twins Defeat

Chapter 12

A hand held mine as his leg bounced. He was worried as he held my hand tight before letting it loose once more. He got up and walked around before sitting down on his chair and held my hand once more. I don’t know how many times he has done this before someone spoke up.

“The more you fidget the more I want to strangle you.” A voice spoke. It was all mumble like the person was trying to sleep.

“Sorry.” The man that was walking spoke before he heavily sat down in the chair. The snapping of wood and the word ooff had someone laughing really hard.

“Even the chair had enough.” The man finally said through his laughter.

“Dad.” A young voice spoke. “Why are you stuck in a chair.”

“Let’s just say the chair was fed up with his pacing.” The guy whom was laughing spoke. I now could tell it was Caiden.

“Cameron.” His name came from my lips gently. There was a lot banging before a hand captured mine.

“I’m right here Angel.” He spoke gently as I slowly opened my eyes. His beautiful blue eyes held mine with so much happiness. However that didn’t hide the darkness starting to form under his eyes. Caiden came close and he had the same. The young voice was Esmeralda whom came up to the other side and was crying on my shoulder.

“How long have I been out?” I asked them gently as I carefully moved my arm to embrace her. Didn’t help she was on the edge of the bed and I didn’t want her to fall.

“2 days.” Caiden spoke gently.

“You two should get some sleep.” I told them gently upset I hurt them. Lips took my thoughts away from everything.

“Don’t think to much honey.” Cameron gently spoke when he broke the kiss.

“None of this was your fault.” Caiden said as he placed a hand on Cameron’s shoulder. “I promise babe you are perfect for us just as you are. Nothing you do will make us hate you. We know your past and your pain as it is our own love. We will fight to keep it all away and only ever shower you in love the way it should be.”

“We promise love. We hate ourselves that we broke our promise and will do everything we can to make it up to you.” Cameron spoke gently as he held my hand tightly.

“Then start by getting some sleep.” I smiled happily at them. They both chuckled as they each kissed my forehead.

“Andrew is out side with Marcus and Patric. We have made sure they all have been sleeping and eating. We even took them to see Mom.” Cameron said happily as my two little devils barged in. I saw Caiden at the door holding it open for them. The raced to my side. Marcus helped Patric on the bed whom snuggled into my shoulder like Esmeralda was. Marcus crawled in and happily laid his head on my stomach.

“Mommy bad. Mommy left us alone.” Patric cried into my shoulder.

“I’m sorry baby. Mommy didn’t mean to.” I said kissing his head as my own tears fell.

“Its not your fault mom. That women hurt you.” Marcus was crying as he held my waist as tight as he could. “I wasn’t there to protect you.”

“No son, you were not but we where and we failed.” Cameron said as he placed his free hand on his shoulder.

“You did. You failed. Now I will never let mom go anywhere with you.” Marcus said holding me tighter.

“Marcus. It wasn’t all there fault. I stepped away from them.” I gently told him.

“I don’t care mom. No one but I can keep a good enough eye on you. You will go no where without me.” He cried as he lifted his head and looked at me. I knew he was dead serious, but it was true. When he was with me I was a lot stronger. I could take on an army of wolves if he was there. Maybe its mom instincts or something. Nothing made sense.

“We promise you will not leave your moms side except for school.” Caiden spoke causing him to nod. I knew he was okay with that as the pack was there to watch me.

“I don’t want to go to school if mommy will get hurt.” Patric said gently as he snuggled closer.

“Andrew is at the pack house not to mention Jared’s father whom is obsessed with protecting her.” Cameron gently said.

“I promise baby, mommy will make more friends and be around them when your at school so she is safe.” I gently told him as I kissed his head.

“Promise.” He said looking at me. I leaned down and gave him an eskimo kiss. He giggled happily as I smiled.

“I promise.” I told him as he snuggled back into me. The guys smiled as they left allowing the three of us to fall asleep. The doctors came in about and hour afterwards and said I would be good to go if I wanted to. Andrew helped me out as the children did what they could to help me to the cart. My side still hurt but the wound was healed. It was something that always happened with the bigger wounds. My wolf would heal them quickly but I would still have the pain for a few days after. I wanted to walk but the docs say it wasn’t a good idea. So here I am in a golf cart to go the short distance to the pack house. The children love it.

“So we have Olivia busy with work and have turned your bedroom into a movie room. Think you deserve a day with the children and they decided movies was a good one.” Andrew happily said as we headed home. I nodded happily. “I got pizza and cheese sticks with wings. They should arrive at the same time we do.”

“I’m glad. I am actually really hungry.” I smiled knowing the last meal I had was supper I guess two days ago. It was odd to be hungry but it made Andrew beam happily. I just chuckled as I gently pushed his shoulder.

“Mommy can we watch Frozen 2?” Esmeralda asked gently.

“Oh I want to see Olaf.” Patric happily cried.

“Really.” Marcus said. I just laughed. Marcus wasn’t one for the girly things and frozen was just that. Two girls that could do anything together. He thought men where needed to make the show great.

“How about we watch that and them Marcus you get to pick a movie we watch next.” I smiled happily trying to please them as well as myself because I really wanted to see frozen 2.

“I want to watch Onward.” He said happily. Oh that’s is another good one that I wouldn’t deny watching either.

“I want to watch that to.” Esmeralda said.

“Really?” Marcus asked. She nodded happily causing him to smile.

“I want to watch…….” Patric said thinking really hard. “Up.”

“Sounds like a Disney night.” I chuckled happily. Everyone joined me as we drove the rest of the way talking about all the Disney movies we have watched. Esmeralda watched a few we haven’t and there where a few we watched she didn’t.

As we arrived the children bounced out and began to help me. I happily allowed them as we made our way in and up the stairs to my room. It was true, the room was arranged so there was a mattress with blankets and pillows on the floor. A large screen TV was set up and there was plates. We had shelves of goodies that was moved close to the bed and out supper was laid out on the floor.

‘Thank you.’ I opened my mind to my mates whom purred with happiness before they went quiet. I close the link and went to sit on the mattress as the children plated food and got the movie in. Andrew joined us which made me happy. With my guys sleeping he made me feel safe. So much for proving where I stand.

We watched movie after movie till we all fell asleep together. It was the best night in my entire life. Well besides the night I found my mates. That night just didn’t end perfectly. It was a great start. My mind fell on mom. We promised to head back but I wasn’t there. I hope she was okay. Someone gently patted my arm.

“Go back to sleep mom.” He spoke snuggling closer to me. I smiled as I allowed myself to quiet down and sleep some more. It had to have been early but who cares. I was safely home and nothing could hurt me.
