Run.. Teo.. Run

Deep in the forest they were stucked as the wind and the rain were against their going in. Mysteries filled the place and now they're going nowhere. More questions hanged up instead of answers and friendship were tested in the middle of struggles and difficulties. "Luke.. Luke.. can you walk? Jam asked while holding his bloody head from a head struck. "It will be sunrise soon and we should be prepared to go" she added. "Do you still have a fever?" Teo asked while reaching his hand to Luke's forehead. "Oh my God, you're burning hot, can you at least walk? Teo added. "I'm not feeling very well, my head really hurts." Luke said. "I am very sorry for bringing you both here i should have done this alone". Teo deeply regret. "Do not blame yourself, we all wanted to find answers and it brought us all here." Jam appeased his feelings. "That girl you saw in your dreams, do you think you know her?" Teo asked Luke. He shrugged off his shoulders and shook his head saying "I don't know, but she looked familiar, i may have met her somewhere, but i can't remember". "When she said "Prepare for the worse", does it mean there'll be more dangers to come?" Jam asked. While having their conversations, another whoosh of a strong wind was heard inside the cottage and it brought them another goosebumps. They both carry Luke from the table and stand him up. "We have to move quickly, that wind never stopped, it already hurt Luke, next it will be either one of us or both of us." Teo told Jam. They both carry Luke on their shoulders and walked through the door out of the cottage. The sun was beginning to shine and now they had a chance to get out from the forest. As they opened the door wind blew again and hit their faces. Not far from where they stood, they saw a man lying on the ground unconscious. They wondered who could it be. They were in the middle of nowhere and unknowingly someone was with them sharing same fate. Teo tiptoed over the man and tried to see if he knew him. He was very much surprised when he saw the face. He knew him indeed and couldn't believe it. "Come here.. hurry up". Teo was calling both Jam and Luke. Jam was carrying Luke on her shoulders while they both came to where Teo was with the unconscious man. "Look who I've found". Teo grasped. "It's Johnny". Luke & Jam chorused. "I wonder why he's here". Teo said. "Could he be the one following us"? Jam asked. They were very surprised seeing Johnny. He was the one that got acquainted with the girl on the bus with fiery eyes. Teo was trying to wake him up.. "Johnny.. Johnny what happened to you?" "Johnny". Johnny began to move his hand, opened his eyes and was so afraid. "Where am I? He looked around and was surprised of everything he saw. "Why am I here"? Why are you here? Teo.. Jam.. Luke..? Why are we here? What happened?" Johnny was intense. Teo replied, "We found you here lying unconscious, what happened to you? Do you remember anything? Then Johnny was trying to recall. "I was just in my room then suddenly someone was calling my name, i followed where the voice came from and here I am." I didn't remember where exactly I went, how and why. My feet just brought me here." "Now.. welcome to the club". Jam bleated. "What happened to you Luke?" Johnny wondered while seeing his bloody head and being carried by Teo and Jam. "We have to move now and get out from here.. Get up Johnny.. get on your knees." Teo cried. "Hey what's happening.. I don't understand." Johnny asked. "I guess your fiery eyed girl brought you here Johnny, remember her? Jam blunted. "What!" Johnny feared. So you start moving now and we're going to get out from here." Teo exclaimed. As they were walking as fast as they could a sudden scream was again heard all over the place. "What was that?" Johnny asked. They kept on moving and tried to pretend not hearing anything. Luke was beginning to feel so tired and weak. He could faint anytime. Hunger and restlessness were the ones haunting them now. Teo thought they couldn't give up. The woods cannot beat them up, they had each other. He realized they have to run.. run as fast as they can.. Run til their feet weren't touching the ground anymore. The wind and the trees were swaying as though dancing through the air. "My God, what's happening?" Johnny kept on asking. He didn't understand what has been happening. "Will somebody please talk to me"? He howled. "Enough of your screaming Johnny, we have no time for conversations". Just run and pray that we're still gonna be back home." Jam slammed. "Run'' run.. Teo.. run.. you may run but you cannot hide..!" A voice again was heard while slowly vanishing through the air. Luke was beginning to lost it, he was too weak to continue the journey. "Luke.. Luke.. please don't give up on us.. Luke.. we're almost there. please hold on." Teo begged. Though they weren't sure of the way back home they just keep on running to find a road. Leaves and branches of the trees kept on falling and hitting them and the strong wind never stopped hushing. "Finding a road will be our only option, vehicles are passing by and we could find some help there." Jam explained. "But Luke looked so weak now, he needs urgent help and we need another place to stay." Teo suggested. Not far from where they stood they saw a century old house just within their reach. "There, (Johnny pointing his finger).. just what we had hoped and prayed for.. a house." They felt a sign of relief when they saw that house and immediately ran to it and knocked loudly for so many times. "Hello, anybody home? Will you open up please.. please open the door, we really need your help, our friend here is hurt and he needs urgent treatment, can you please help us?" Teo begged. While knocking, they heard a loud noise from the inside as if somebody fell off the stairs and suddenly the door opened but they saw no one from the inside. They helped themselves get in and helped carry Luke and laid him down the long sofa just near the doorway. They never wasted any time and immediately looked for a medicine cabinet to treat Luke’s wounds. While Teo was looking around he saw someone staring at them from the living room and he couldn’t believe who he saw. It was Aunt Mida. He started walking towards Aunt Mida “Aunt Mida.. Aunt Mida. Is that you?" Teo asked. But nobody was there. Jam heard Teo calling Aunt Mida and asked him, did you saw her? Was that her really?" “Yes! It was her but now she’s gone, I couldn’t forget those weird looks”. “Are you hallucinating again?” Jam asked. You should stay with Luke, Johnny and I will look for medicine and food, we haven’t eaten anything since we all get stucked here. Along the kitchen hallway they saw a medicine cabinet and found everything in there all they needed for Luke’s treatment, at the same time just few steps away they found food to last for a day or two. Jam wondered as if somebody was in there because the food was at least just a week ago. That house became their safe haven from all those unseen foes that troubling everytime they’re out there. After eating they rested and decided to continue their battle from fears the next day. Johnny started asking what’s been happening and why he ended up in that woods. “Maybe these all started when the accident was about to take place and when you saw your fiery eyed girl.” Teo told. “It doesn’t matter now what happened. What important now is, we should believe in each other that we’re all gonna make this and we’re going to fight those unseen things and voices that keep haunting us even in dreams.” “I don’t care now where these all started but all I know it took away my bestfriend from me, that.. I cannot forgive.” Teo said with anger. The house has been peaceful after that loud noise they heard when they were still outside. “If my life would be this peaceful here in this house, I could live here forever” Jam spoke her mind. They couldn’t help but talk about the other survivors of the accident and wondered where could they be now. “We were nine survivors and only four of us are being haunted.” Luke consciously joined the conversation. They were all very surprised and happy to see Luke back on his feet. “So good to see you well now man”. Teo said. “I thought we’re gonna lose you”. Jam added. As I am saying, the nine people survived were me, Teo, Jam, Johnny, Solenn, Jaci, Art, Nate and Raven. It’s good to remember all those who survived because they showed proof of life after the incident. They became inspiration to each one of us that whatever hardships and struggles that come our way, life has to move on and meant to be cherished.” Luke said with encouragement. After all of this we may go our separate ways but the lessons we learned from this battle will remain as long as we live.” “Think I’m gonna cry.” Jam teased. “Wow.. that was such an amazing speech Luke”. No wonder you’ve been our excellent researcher”. Teo added. “But joking aside, I really appreciate all of you.” When I lost Drake, I’ve gained a lot more friends.” “It seems like he gave himself so I could value more friends around.” You know it’s just been him and me eversince.” I love him so much that he will always be a part of me even in the next life.” Teo emotionally shared. Their conversations were so deep that they didn’t noticed shadows that kept on circling around the house. Then another loud noise were heard from the outside now. “Nobody gets out” Teo exclaimed. As long as we are inside this house we are safe.” They were just watching from the window and saw few more people running to the house for safety. “We were just talking about them and now they’re here”. Johnny said. They all can’t believe it. “Everything has a purpose and let them be our purpose” Luke candidly said. “Jam open the door” They are all in danger outside this house.” Teo reiterated. As Jam opens, Solenn, Raven, Jaci, Art and Nate were catching their breath as they enter. “What brought you all here?” Johnny asked. “You’re here too? The newbies chorused. “What a beautiful coincidence..” Solenn said in disbelief. “We were looking for the four of you because a reunion was planned by everyone here, all survivors, and we went to your apartments and a sudden wind filled your place and brought us all in the woods”. Solenn told. “Terrible things happen in that woods and we couldn’t believe we’re safe now”. Jaci shared. “This place looks creepy, are we safe here? She added. “As safe as you can be than outside” Luke answered. “Now that we’re crowded in here we might as well behave, is that clear?” Jam reminded. They all nod. Together they rested in the couches and forgot about those shadows circling around them… not after a voice again was heard only by some. “Teo.. Teo.. do you think you can save all your friends?”Wahahahaha.. Prepare for the worse” a vanishing gruesome voice always haunting Teo from nowhere. Only four of them could hear the unseen foes.. Teo, Jam, Luke and Johnny. The rest as if were just innocent visitors of that house. How could they tell others the danger awaits them? How could they prepare when they don’t hear anything? For the moment all Teo can do is just to remind them not to go outside without company. “Three or four should be together all the time” Teo said. “We are all in danger and being alone is not an option now”. Teo told again. As they listen to Teo, some of them had different plans in mind. It’s indeed dangerous out there in the woods but it’s more dangerous when you’re with some who has dark intentions against you. Actually, Jaci, Art and Raven were just acquaintances who joined them in the bus and they had no idea who they really are. But true friends will always be by your side and that’s what Teo has been holding to right now. “Trust will be our shield from danger”. We are prepared for the worse” Teo claimed.
