His Secret Luna (Book 2 in the White Wolf Series)

Chapter 6

Lily’s terrified face was all Nile could picture in his mind.

His wolf was restless and pacing, urging him to go to her. Nile tried to remind his wolf they were under orders to stay clear from her for the day from their Alpha, but his wolf seriously didn’t seem to care about any orders, he just wanted to see that Lily was OK.

Nile looked out his bedroom window and he saw several James giving orders to trackers. He looked deadly serious, his stomach felt unsettled, and it wasn’t because he hadn’t managed to eat breakfast. He mind linked his Dad.

‘What’s going on Dad?’

No reply…

‘DAD?!’

Still nothing…

Nile walked to his door and as he was about to open it his Father entered.

‘’Randall has run off, we are going track him. He is probably hiding out as he knows we will be sending him off to training early after his behaviour.’’ Aiden stated.

Nile felt anger rise in him, and his wolf was now howling for him to go to Lily even more so, in his mind.

‘’Is anyone with Lily? I mean besides her Mom.’’ Nile asked, shaking with rage.

‘’Calm your wolf Son, James will head over to Helen and Oscar’s now.’’ Aiden had a look of concern on his face even if he wanted to reassure Nile, his eyes gave his feelings of concern and worry away.

‘’Dad, he can’t get to her. You can’t let him hurt her’’ Nile’s emotions were all over the place, but he was worried, hopeless, guilty and most of all he was angry.

Aiden put a hand on Niles shoulder, to try and comfort him and reassure him. Aiden vowed right there and then that he would no longer spend his days in the library, or jerking around with his friends, from tomorrow he was going to train to fight with the warriors, he was going to become strong, he was going to do everything he could to be ready for when Randall got back from the academy, he would protect Lily with his life… true mate or not she deserved that. He blamed himself for this, he should have listened to his gut and kept his interest hidden, he shouldn’t have shown any interest. If he had she wouldn’t be terrified right now, Randall wouldn’t have noticed her. She would have been safe from Randall.

Randall’s POV:

That pup thinks he can take me on for a she-wolf, fool!

I paced the room, furious that my brother thought he could humiliate me like that, that he had the audacity to take me on.

I am not staying here to be shipped off like a banished rogue! I am the next Alpha, I do what I want!

I knew my room would be guarded, but my window had vines around it… yeah I’m on the second floor but I could climb down the vines. They wouldn’t have planned for that yet. She needs to know that she is my mate, true or chosen she will be mine. I need to tell her I wont hurt her if she obeys me, and stays away from other males. She will have a good life as Luna, but she must obey me.

I opened my window and scoped the area quickly, it was daytime so I could see everything clearly. I was wearing dark clothing so hoped I would blend with the vines as I climbed down, I needed to be fast and careful not to be seen. Most were still in breakfast or at work, so it was a good time to escape. I sat on the window ledge and turned so my stomach was on the ledge and lowered my body out catching my foot on the strong twisted vines. I carefully and quickly climbed down, watching my footing as I went. I reached the ground in no time, with no unwanted attention and ran towards the main house workers cottages.  I saw Gilly with Alice walking towards me ‘s**t’ I slowed my pace into a jog.

‘’Hi Sweetie’’ Gilly shouted waving like an i***t. ‘’where you off to?’’

‘’Doing some stamina training, won’t be long before I’m at the academy after all. Catch you later tonight’’ I replied, she bought my excuse as she gave a swoon and smiled. She has to be the dumbest She-wolf in the pack.

I continued to jog until Gilly and Alice were out of sight then slowed my pace further, now almost creeping. My senses heightened listening in case my absence had been discovered. I came to the group of four cottages where Lily lived, it appeared no one was home yet, I was sure she would be back soon. The pack didn’t tend to lock their doors as the pack was a safe place not like human towns where humans robbed and murdered each other in their sleep.

I twisted the door knob and the door cracked open, I slowly and silently entered. I could smell the lasting aroma of breakfast and it made my stomach rumble. Pushing away the pang of hunger I crept through the cottage until I found Lily’s bedroom. Her scent filled the room. I looked around her room, it was small but tidy. Her dresser had minimal items laid out. I picked up her hair brush and inhaled her scent, it smelt of apple shampoo. Then I picked up her lip gloss and painted my finger tip with it and tasted the cherry flavour. I imagined tasting her cherry flavoured lips and smelling her apple scented hair as I grabbed it to pull her in for deep kisses.  Her night wear was folded on her single bed, and there was a small bedside table with a lamp and a novel on top. There was a small mirror above the dresser and a full length mirror next to the single wardrobe which was in the far corner of the room. I opened the wardrobe, it was only half full so room for me to hide just about.

I pushed the shoes to the side and climbed in, closing the door most the way leaving a small crack which allowed me to see the bed.

I Waited for what felt like hours, but it was only really about half hour until I heard voices inside the cottage. I had heard James outside giving orders not long before so they must know I was missing and guessed I would come here so checked the area before they came home. Idiots didn’t check inside though ha-ha! I waited and listened carefully.

I could hear Lily and her Mother’s muffled talking in another room. She was here. I remined quiet and still.

Soon after, I heard light footsteps in the room. I saw Lily standing next to the bed , her eyes were pink and puffy and so was her mouth, her face was blotchy. She had been crying. She picked up her night wear then froze, her eyes darted around the room. Had she caught my scent? I opened the wardrobe door and put my finger to my lips as a sign for her to be quiet. Her eyes were wild and wide and she opened her mouth to speak. I lunged at her putting my hand over her mouth.

‘’Do not make a sound and I will not hurt you’’ I whispered close to her ear, I felt her body shiver in my arms.

Tears now filled her eyes, I pulled her body closer and nipped her ear lobe. I needed to control myself she was to young right now, I needed to wait.

‘’I have only came to you to say goodbye for now. My parents will be sending me away a little earlier because no doubt Nile has spoke a load of s**t about me. I just wanted to tell you that you are one lucky she-wolf. You will be my mate, true or chosen you are my Luna. You are mine.’’

A sob escaped her mouth and hot tears poured from her eyes.

‘’I know, I know. You’re overwhelmed with this, but you will be a good Luna, just obey me and give me pups and it will be all ok. I will be back for you sweet Lily, No one, not even Nile will touch you. Only I will touch you from this day forward.

She sobbed harder, and I swore I heard her say ‘No’

‘’Oh yes Lily, if I cant have you no one will have you. You are mine now.’’ I squeezed her tighter and she whimpered. I slowly released my grip and before letting her body go, she darted to the door as her Mother opened it.

‘’WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?! GET OUT NOW!!’’ she shouted. Then thumps and thuds came crashing through the house, James the Beta and another guard were now in the already to small room. I held my hands up in surrender.

‘’I haven’t touched her, we just talked.’’ I calmly said as I grinned at Lily.

James grabbed my arms and cuffed me, dragging me out the cottage. He will regret this when I am Alpha.
