"I'm going to make her realize that she actually can't survive in this school without me." Leonard threatened.

He had believed that Sarah could take a long walk off a short pier.

But sooner than he'd have liked, he realized her absence alone in his life was driving him crazy.

How exactly, can someone like her reject a billionaire son? And keep him in an unsettled state of mind? That's literally impossible! Unheard of!

No Way Back
PROLOGUE** Sarah's mouth twitched irritatedly, but she didn't--couldn't--afford a glance at who was seated across from her. Astra crossed her legs and played with the new nails she'd fixed . "I pity that heart of yours. you so blindly love that you don't realize the danger you've entered into." " I trust him." Sarah said dismissively. The matter wasn't even up for debate." Why not hit the nail on the head? Astra? Or you let me be." She turned to the book spread on her desk, which was waiting for attention that would never come, not after what Astra had insinuated. "I don't think you would like the evidence I have in my possession. " Sarah didn't respond, her heart did instead. " Anyway, I'll save you the heartbreak that'll follow.I don't think you should see." Like a troublesome particle finagling its way into the eye, and disorienting ,till the situation is fully resolved, Sarah against her better judgement, blurted." If there is something you want to show me, don't be petty and just go ahead... you have already succeeded in ruining my little study time." The silence that followed wove its form across Astra's features , as her lips curled up in a small smirk." Your curiosity will kill you Sarah dear...and here I thought you were going to play uninterested...anyways he is way beyond your level..it was the proper thing to have--" " Astra!...get out!" Sarah clenched her fists. " I don't care if your ass gets pampered at home, I can overlook that, but I won't let you infringe on my peace of mind." Sarah almost swore. Her irritation was solid, forged into shards of ice. " Easy feisty dog!" Astra snapped back. "Well then here you go." she slapped an envelope on Sarah's desk, making Sarah's book quiver. "And while you grapple with the reality of it, let my words sink in as well... back off!" Astra turned on her heels and left. Sarah took a deep breath as she tried to maintain her composure. She was used to the girl, this was just another moment for her to ignore. And ignore she would, but the parcel enveloped her with anxiety. It remained there, untouched, and after a while, with tentative hands, she took it. CHAPTER ONE *SARAH* NO WAY BACK Sarah bounded down the hallway, her fingers curling tightly around the pictures she held, whilst the noise of the chatty students passing her by seemed to assault her emotional state, and without asking, her ears drowned them all out, focusing only on the loud incessant beating of her heart, like music at a party where someone was just neutered. It was a harrowing long walk to the private room where Leonard usually stayed during breaks. But when she got there, she stopped just in front of his door. Was there truly any need to confront him about this. Her heart was plastic melting in the heat of the flames. She needed to quench the fire , not k****e it She was scared of him telling her the truth, proving what she didn't want to hear. "Who's there?" Came a deep voice from inside . It was the baritone voice of the man who caused her to be in this frazzled state. A sound that would have dripped with honey if it was some other day. Turning, she hurried away, the envelope still in her hand. ** Glenda flipped the pages of her book, not responding to the parcel Sarah had dropped in front of her. She had come back to class, and bulldozed her way to where Glen sat when she saw her. "You should check what is there... Glen" " Will it help me solve this physics problem I'm struggling with? If it will I would gladly--" " Glen..this is serious...and....personal ." Sarah gazed at her and looked down, and Glen could tell from the look in her eyes---which reminded her of the cold dark waters she had swum a few days ago---that something was wrong, not just wrong, really, really not good. After she had taken a look at the pictures, she carefully placed them back inside to avoid anyone else in class taking a glimpse. "Who gave you this?" "Who else?" "Have you asked him about it?" " How does that help ?Isn't that enough evidence? What else is he gonna tell me? How he probably f****d her as well? I'll definitely curse his c**k if I have to" Sarah tried to keep her cool, and stop herself from raising her voice. But she was having a difficult time with that. Glenda looked up at her best friend, observing her from the rim of her glasses. " For someone who has been in no relationship at all, I would never have expected one day. I would advise you to refrain from your stupidity... you should have met him about this, at least hear why he did it." Sarah snatched back the envelope, scowling. " You are of no help... whatsoever" "Think to the time, I said dating these things made of wood pulp has pros --always pros--no cons..but you just don't hear me.. it's a stress-free life, you know." Sarah scoffed, widening her eyes disbelievingly at her bestie when she turned and almost colluded with the tall muscular frame of Leonard. Her heart galloped like a horse taking a long leap at the start of a race. She forced herself to look up at him."What are you doing here?" " This is class." He raised his brows, questioningly. " Have you forgotten?" She didn't respond. Curiosity materialized on his stony features. " Did you think I wasn't going to know it was you? I know your cologne like I know my image in a picture when I see it." Sarah nodded. " Nice to hear. " But Glenda sniggered. " There is a particular picture you might wish your image wasn't there...dearest Leonard. "
