Penelope stared at the door Luca had closed behind him. She’d half expected to wake up this morning to find he’d been a figment of her imagination. Uncertain if she was happy about learning he was real, she got ready for the day. She was tempted to wear a pair of jeans, but didn’t feel up to a lecture from her grandmother. She chose a summer dress, one that would hopefully meet her approval. Sometimes she didn’t know why she bothered as very little met her grandmother’s approval.
