A shiver went through Penelope at Luca’s words. She was tempted to ask him if that was a threat or a promise. She decided she didn’t want to know. Or she did, but she was afraid to learn the answer. Stepping past him, she headed for her walk-in wardrobe, stopping in the doorway to turn and look at him. He was facing her. “If you’re going with me we might as well go shopping for some clothes for you. Something more casual than what you’re wearing.” Certain she felt a fleeting hint of annoyance come from him, she grinned. “You definitely need jeans.” Her gaze was drawn to his legs before she retreated to her walk-in wardrobe.
