Chapter 1
Rose's eyes were glued to the man standing on the podium in front of the class.
Professor Damon.
The way he moved gracefully and spoke effortlessly, as if he belonged on that podium, made her heart race as her fantasies played in her own head.
His voice was deep and calm as he spoke; she didn't hear the exact words he was saying, as she was too deep in her own thoughts, wondering how that same voice would sound if he was groaning into her ear, if he was calling her his, if he had her pinned to the wall doing dirty things to her.
Her eyes followed the way his muscles flexed whenever he moved his hand while explaining, the way his fingers curled as she began imagining them somewhere else, somewhere they should be.
*Stop it, Rose, he's your professor, and besides, you have a boyfriend!* Her subconscious yelled in her head, but it did nothing to stop the thoughts from going wilder.
She watched the way he walked to and fro on the podium, then leaned on the lectern, his eyes looking cold and distant behind his glasses.
Rose had always wondered what it would feel like if she took those glasses off to rub his brows and probably place a kiss on the ridge of his nose while being trapped under him with-
"Miss Rose." Professor Damon's voice snaps her back to reality as she almost jumps off her seat when she sees him standing right in front of her desk.
"Apparently, you were having a separate class." He added.
"Professor....I...." Rose gulped, but couldn't come up with something to say.
Professor Damon leaned forward on her desk, their faces inches apart, and Rose almost closed her eyes until she heard his voice in her ear.
"You've been staring for the past five minutes, and now you are closing your eyes like you are expecting a kiss in the middle of the class." He straightened up immediately after he said that, smirked at her and returned to the podium.
Rose's cheeks reddened in embarrassment as she looked around to find every one of her classmates staring at her, some in mockery, some looking pissed.
She pressed her palms over her cheeks and buried her head in her textbook, hoping the ground would just open and swallow her.
But Professor Damon wasn't done with her.
"Miss Rose, go stand at the back of the class; hope that helps with your distraction."
*Perfect!*
Rose stood up slowly, walking to the back of the class while her classmates followed her with their eyes, which made her skin crawl.
Standing at the back of the class, she couldn't help but glare daggers at Professor Damon. As much as she couldn't stop thinking about him, she also hated his cold, controlled and distant behavior.
The class went on for about thirty more minutes, and throughout those moments, Rose tried not to deviate again, which wasn't completely successful.
Her legs were beginning to hurt from standing for so long; she wanted to curse at Professor Damon, but his beautiful face was enough to make her forget whatever she was gonna say.
"Miss Rose, meet me in my office." Professor Damon spoke as he packed his books and walked out of the classroom without sparing anyone a glance, not even her.
Or so she thought.
The moment Rose heard that word, "Office," Every other sensible thought in her head flew out.
Professor Damon had never asked her to come to his office...generally, he had never asked any student to come to his office.
Maybe he noticed her; maybe he felt the attraction and wanted her just as she did him; maybe he was pretending all this while, and he was just looking for the perfect opportunity to take her.
Right?
She didn't want to know.
She practically ran her way to his office, catching up with him, just as he was about to walk in. He stared at her for a few seconds before going in, while she followed and closed the door behind them.
"Hmm...you called...asked me to see you in your office, sir..." Rose stuttered after seconds of silence in the office.
"I have a reliable memory, Miss Rose." He replied calmly, his eyes not leaving the file he was going through.
*Hot jerk.*
Rose stood for several minutes, her heart pounding so loud she could swear he was hearing it.
Did he call her here to fulfill her fantasies? Maybe he was planning how bad he was going to ruin her? Or maybe he was rethinking it because of the risk?
That last thought should scare her, but instead, it only made her want to make a move.
Maybe if she showed him she wasn't scared, maybe-
"Miss Rose, you are zoning out again." Professor Damon's voice dragged her out of her head for the second time that day.
Rose's cheeks flushed as she pressed her lips into a thin line. "I'm sorry, sir." She apologized softly.
Professor Damon ignored her apology completely and stood up, taking slow, deliberate steps towards her as she backed away till her back met the wall, giving her no space to run to.
"You seem to have a lot of thoughts going through your head." He leaned in slightly and spoke.
"I..." Rose tried to speak, but the smell of his cologne mixed with something darker, something more dangerous, which she couldn't name, filled her nose, making it hard to think properly.
"Professor..." Rose tried again, but her voice came out in a whisper instead, embarrassing her even more.
Professor Damon straightened up before turning away. "You may leave." He spoke; he could feel Rose's face drop in disappointment.
"Leave?" Rose blurted out before she could stop herself. You... asked me...to... come here and you didn't..."
"Was there something specific you were expecting me to do?" He asked, turning back to face her, but a bigger distance was between them this time.
*Yes, of course, I want you to pin me to the wall and-*
"No, I...I..."
"I only called to give you a warning, and now, I've discharged you." He cut her off, returned to his seat.
Rose nodded in disappointment as she turned and walked to the door.
*What was she expecting? Her hot professor do things he shouldn't do to her?*
"Miss Rose."
Rose stopped abruptly like she had been waiting for that, and truly she had.
"The next time you zone out in my class, you'll be punished." He said meaningfully.
Rose opened the door and walked out quietly, closing the door behind her.
Professor Damon leaned into his seat, a dark smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth as he muttered.
"Interesting."
