William and I did actually go get ice cream. We sat outside on a bench, the wind lightly blowing as we leaned against each other. He had his arm around my stomach and was looking at the view of the Eye of London in the distance.
For some reason, well, an actually very specific reason, William's arm around my stomach felt odd. Not uncomfortable, or heavy, but odd.
"You're being awfully quiet. Are you okay?" William asks, breaking the silence was had fallen between us.
I pause, mid lick of my mint chocolate chip mountain that was now a small hill. I leaned my head back against his shoulder and shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. I guess I'm still reeling at the fact that I can finally move on from school and officially start my career and be more focused on...us." I say softly.
