Chapter 14

I'm sitting down on top of piano as Ryder is standing in front of me and we both are waiting for the glee club time. And everyone seems weird actually after that gunshoot. Tina go back dressing like a goth, and Brittany like she is losing her mind after the MIT confused with her SAT score. And the worst is Sam acting like he is has a twin brother when the fact he doesnt have any.

Those all really stupid. But I dont care. I just live my life here with my new boyfriend who more like Brunette Justin Bieber but taller than the real one and Ryder is more cute than the real one.

I'm still sitting down on the piano as Ryder is standing in front of me and backing me. I cover his eyes with my hands and then Ryder turn his face at me and I guve him a quick kiss on his lips. Kinda weird. I know that.

"I didnt ask for that quick kiss." Ryder says to me.

"We cant make out here." I roll my eyes.

"Guys, have you seen my twin?" Sam suddenly walks in. I shake my head and raise my eyebrows at him. "Oh! Getting a call. Hold on. Oh, hey. Man, I was just looking for you!" Sam takes his phone and walk away.

I shake my head and jumps from the piano. He is really crazy. I just walk to the seat row and sit down on the back seat and waiting for Mr. Schue to come here as Ryder is sitting down next to me and lean his head on my shoulder.

"All right, bro. Well, I'll tell 'em you said hi. Oh, yeah, yeah. Have fun at the zoo." Sam walks in and pretend like he is talking on the phone with Evan's style. Yeah his twin brother named Evan with cardigan on his shoulder and glasses and he said that he is smarter.

"I never faking like I'm having a brother." Jake says quietly at me.

"Shut up. He has a big imagination." I said to Jake.

"Big news, guys." Mr. Schue walks in. "I just got a direct tweet from the Greater Midwest Regional. High School Show Choir Board of Directors. The theme for this year's regionals is dreams." Mr. Schue says to us and write 'dreams' on the white board. "As you know, some of the past judges we've had haven't been that bright, or that sober, so our best bet is to take the dream theme literally. We'll start out with "Dream Weaver" and then we'll segue into "Sweet Dreams" and we'll bring it home with "You Make My Dreams Come True." Okay. Marley, you're frowning." Mr. Schue turn his face at Marley.

"No. I just don't know any of those songs." Marley shakes her head.

I just raise my eyebrows. I know those songs. Those are old songs that might be no one want to cover it and this is really sucks.

"Well, you'll know them soon enough because we're learning them today." Mr. Schue says to us.

"Maybe could we try some original songs, like you did two years ago?" Marley asks Mr. Schue.

"Yeah, my twin brother Sam told me you guys totally crushed regionals two years ago with those sweet tunes." Sam says.

"Well, S um, Evan, that was a different time and a different team." Mr. Schue says to Sam.

"Mr. Schue, could we at least talk about the set list? I mean, when Finn was here, we got to help..." Marley got cut off.

"Do I have to remind you guys how lucky we are to even be at regionals? We're there on a technicality, which means there's absolutely no room for even the smallest of mistakes. Trust me. Anybody else have something they want to say? Great. Brad, warm 'em up." Mr. Schue says to us and Brad start playing the piano.

I roll my eyes and let out a sigh. Without Finn, Blaine, and Sam we might cant join regionals but this setlist is totally insane and stupid. I just dont get it.

Now we are settled down in auditorium since Blaine told us to have secret meeting that Blaine's order for the glee club accordingg to Mr. Schue's setlist.

"As honorary Rachel, I would like to convene this secret meeting of the glee club." Blaine is sitting down facing us and looking at us.

"Oh. Sam's sorry he couldn't make it. He said to tell every....Oh. Just got a text. He's here. Oh, hey, Sam. Hey, Evan." Sam says and faking he got a phone call then walk away.

"How long are we gonna let him do this?" Blaine exhales.

"Just let it go. It's like waking a sleepwalker. It might kill him." Artie says to Blaine.

"Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late. What'd I miss?" Sam walks in with Sam's style without glasses.

"What you missed was Mr. Schue's set list. It's gonna lose us regionals." Blaine says to him.

"Oh, yeah, Evan was saying something about that." Sam nodded.

"Dream Weaver. Great song, but it's from 1975. Sweet Dreams. Amazing. Released in 1982. You Make My Dreams Come True. Originally performed in 1981, and then performed again by the glee club in a mash-up that we did last year, which Mr. Schue didn't even remember. He's completely lost touch. We're screwed." Blaine says to us.

"I even havent born when those song release." I mumbled.

"Can I get a witness? We need to do current songs, and if we do, I know we can win." Artie says to us.

"Uh, guys can I say something? I wrote some songs." Marley says and stands up from her seat. "What if we performed those?"

"Please. No one wants to hear a song about a fat mom." Kitty cut her off.

"Okay.What about..." Marley got cut off again.

"Or a song about barfing." Kitty stops her.

"But what about a song..." Marley says.

"Or a song about loving an octoroon." Kitty cut her off.

"All right, all right, all right, let's let's get serious." Blaine says to us. "We need to start brainstorming. We'll pick a new set list and then we'll break the news to Mr. Schue."

"You're right. If we keep doing that song, it will make us lose at regionals. I mean like who the hell listen to those song nowadays? I know those song but I never listen to it on the radio." I said to them.

"And that's the point." Blaine nodded at me. "Okay let's just figure out about the new set list." Blaine says to us.

We just nodded and start thinking about the new song to change the setlist that Mr. Schue gave us. If Finn was here, he might be already can solve this easily and now we're lost.

I'm sitting down on the sofa in library and reading my book. No cheerios practice for today so I can spend my time with something really necessary for example like studying. That's really necessary and healthy.

Suddenly my phone is vibrating. I take my phone from the table in front of me and Ryder just texted me to meet him in the gymnasium. I know he is my boyfriend now but he really disturb my study time.

I let out a sigh and close my book and stand up from my seat. I put my phone to my bagpack then went out from the library. I walk to the gymnasium and Ryder is playing with basketball alone.

"You disturb my time." I simply said to him.

"Your time? Am I not allowed to ask my girlfriend out?" Ryder raises his eyebrows at me.

"I was studying, Ryder." I roll my eyes.

"Forget about study because I prepare something for us." Ryder grins at me and takes my hand.

"You dont want to sing a song in front of me again right?" I ask him.

"No. As long as you want." Ryder smirks at me.

I exhale and walk behind him until we walk to the corner and I see there is picnic stuff on the corner. "What is this? Dont tell me that your parents kick you out from your house and you live here now." I said to Ryder.

"This week assignment is about dream and my dream is to have a picnic date with you and here we are." Ryder smiles at me.

"Can I be honest with you?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"Okay what? But dont to be too honest because sometimes your words is mean." Ryder says to me.

"Ryder, I dont know what to say actually. But your dreams is cute and honestly I was hope that your dream was bigger than that." I said to him and sit down on a bleachers.

"Do you know that you were my dream? You're amazing. You can be genius and hot at the same time and that's what I love the most about you. I gave up on Marley and I let her go but I dont want to let you go that easy. You're mine. That's it." Ryder smiles at me and holds my hands.

"Can you stop to be cute and sweet for once? I hate you." I chuckle.

"That was first time you called me cute and sweet." Ryder smirks at me.

"Like I told you before, this is me. I'm not typical of sweet and romantic girlfriend who will send you cute morning text and good night text every day. I'm tough and mean and this is first time I dated a guy because I love him not because I want to chill. And I just want you to understand that." I said to Ryder.

"I know you from inside and outside. Babe, how many times I have to tell you that I love you for the way you are. You're mean but you're really smart. You're tough but you know how to defend the weak people. First time we spent New Years Eve together, I already saw how amazing you are. Then Sadie Hawkins and we told each other story until our first date, even though I made you disappointed by being late but we made it." Ryder says to me.

"Then you kissed Marley. You gave all those sweet valentines things to her and I only got this bracelet?" I raise my eyebrows and shows him my bracelet.

"Okay next year. I will not make a valentine week for you. But I will make a valentines month for you." Ryder grins at me.

"Haha dont make too much expetation." I chuckle. "By the way, can I eat this food? I'm hungry."

"Of course you can. You cooked me food on our first date and I made you burger now." Ryder says to me.

I take the burger from the picnic basket and eat that. I never have a cute relationship like this before and Ryder is really sweet and cute at the same time and I cant even... but I'm still afraid.

"I cant do this." I said to him and stand up from my seat.

"Babe, dont go." Ryder catches my hand.

"Ryder, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." I shake my head and push his hand away and walk away.

I make a little run and went out from the gymnasium then walk to girls toilet and enter the empty closet as tears slowly fall down to my face.

I know I'm in love with Ryder but he is really cute and sweet and I'm afraid with myself. I'm afraid if I'm gonna hurt him. I dont wanna hurt him. He is special and different and I dont know what to do.

Ryder's POV

I dont get it why Jade ran away from me like that. I left my picnic stuff and make a little run and out from the gymnasium. I look around and I dont know where is she going. This is just confused me.

I keep look around until I see her walk out from girls toilet and turn her face at me. I raise my eyebrows at her and she turn her way and walk away.

I make a little run to her and block her way and hold her sleeve. "What's going on with you?"

"I just want to be alone." Jade shakes her head and trying to pushes my hands away.

"But why? Did I do something wrong to you?" I frown at her.

"No, you didnt."

"But why? We have to be honest at each other so we can make this thing works." I said to her.

"Leave me alone." Jade shakes her head and pushes my hands away and run away.

"Jade! Jade!" I shout.

I shout but she didnt turn around. I push my body against the locker. I dont know what's wrong with her. Why always me who should fight in this relationship? Why she never do the same thing? This is stupid. Literally.

It's been two weeks we've been together and I really love her. Even though she is mean but she is different. She is amazing. The most amazing girl that I've ever met and I dont wanna let her go. That was really hard until she want to be my girlfriend. No. I wont give up. I wont give up that easily. I will fight for my relationship. That's it.

Jade's POV

I'm sitting down in front of my study table and trying to focus with studying but the fact. I cant focus. I cant stop thinking about Ryder and what I've done? That was really bad.

"You okay? You've been quiet all day." Jake frowns at me.

"I'm fine." I simply said and turn my face to my phone.

Ryder didnt text me or call me. He must be mad at me. But I cant handle it. My fears always coming to me and I guess I'm not ready to be in a relationship yet but he is such a sweet and cute guy and I guess I'm in love with him.

"You're not okay." Jake simply said.

"I tell you this but give me your phone." I show my hand to him.

"For what?" Jake frowns at me.

"Last time I told you something, you recorded it and told that to Ryder. And I just want to make sure my brother didnt betrayed me again." I'm sitting down in front of Jake and show my hand to him.

"Fine." Jake sighs and give me his phone.

"And dont tell this to him." I said to Jake.

"I wont. I swear." Jake says to me and shows me his two fingers.

"I guess I'm not ready in a relationship. Just not yet." I let out a sigh.

"But why? You were the one who told him that you love him too and what the hell he has done now? Dont tell me that he fart in front of you." Jake chuckles.

"No. I'm just afraid, Jake." I shake my head.

"With who? Did someone told you to back off?" Jake frowns at me.

"No. It's my fear. He was really sweet and brough me out for a picnic and I'm afraid. I'm afraid that I'm gonna hurt him. I dont wanna hurt him, Jake. Even now, I know that I'm in love with him." I said to Jake.

"You wont hurt him if you dont intend to hurt him." Jake says to me.

"It's useless to talking to you." I simply said and push my body to my bed and cover my body with blanket.

"I was right, dude." Jake simply said.

I didnt answer him and cover my whole body with blanket. I dont know what to do. I mean I never intend to hurt Ryder but I'm still afraid and it's just really stupid. I have to fight with my instinct and myself again.

Glee Club

I'm sitting down in the middle row as Ryder is sitting down on the back row. I turn my face at him and he just pretend that he doesnt see me. I bit my buttom lip and turn my face to the book that I hold. He really mad at me because I left him yesterday.

"All right, guys, let's get right into it." Mr. Schue walks into the choir room. "And remember, the trick is the change in vocal quality from the smooth, sultry sounds of Gary Wright to the commanding tone of Annie Lennox, and then back to the poppy fun of Darryl Hall." Mr. Schue grins at us.

"Uh, Mr. Schue?" Blaine raises his hand. "Um, we kind of got together as a group after you gave us these songs yesterday, and we came up with some alternatives." Blaine says to Mr. Schue.

"Why would you do that?" Mr. Schue frowns at Blaine.

"Mm, you might need some woman parts to help you sell that." Unique says to Blaine and take her fake boobs to him.

"I'll go get Evan." Sam said and about to walk off.

"Sam, sit down." Mr. Schue stop him. "Honestly, I don't even know what's going on in this room anymore. What happened to you guys? Openly defying me? Unique, you need to tone it down with the whole boob thing. Sam, we all know you don't have a twin brother, and frankly, it's distracting. And, Blaine, I am disappointed in you for allowing this to go on." Mr. Schue says angrily.

"I'm sorry, but we're just trying to.." Blaine got cut off.

"No, what you were trying to do is not rehearsing the song list that I gave you, and that is unacceptable." Mr. Schue says angrily. "So here's what's going to happen.

I'm going to go to the teachers' lounge and get the coffee that I skipped to get here early, and when I get back in five minutes, you will be ready to rehearse my songs." Mr. Schue glares at us and walk off.

We just being quiet and looking at each other. This is first time I saw Mr. Schue been mad like that include that one during Feud week.

No one start the rehearsal. We just being quiet and let our head down. "What are you doing after school?" Kitty asks me.

I turn my face at her and raise my eyebrows. "Having cheerio practice with you." I simply said.

"Ugh I mean after that. Carry me to meet your big brother in his college." Kitty says to me.

"You better ask Jake for that." I simply said and turn my face to the front.

"We can go to IHOP afterwards. Or I'll buy you frozent yogurt or hot dog. Your choice." Kitty smirks at me.

I turn my face at Ryder a bit and he just turn his face away. "Okay. I dont have anything to do and we can go." I nodded.

Ryder suddenly turn his face at me. I just half-smiled at him and turn my face back to the front. I dont know how could this is happen to us. We just dating about two weeks and now we didnt talk to each other which is sucks. And back then, it was my fault. I know that.

"Apologize now." Jake whisper at me.

"I didnt take any advice from a womanizer like you." I roll my eyes.

"A player called someone a player." Jake tossing my head.

"You want to get into my fist?" I show my fist to him. "Or want me to kick you? Your choice, baby." I smirk at him.

"You're ugly when you're smirk at me like that." Jake cover my whole face with my hand. I let out a sigh and bite his hand and make him groan hurtly. "Jade!!!"

"Shut up, i***t. I dont wanna talk to you." I toss his head.

"You shut up!" Jake toss my head again.

I turn my face at him as he is sitting down next to me and glare at him. Jake make x cross with his hands in front of his face. I take his hands away and slap his face.

"Win-win." I grin at him.

Jake slaps my face and grins at me. "That's win-win."

"You cant slap a girl's face!" I toss his head.

"You're not a girl." Jake toss my head.

"Dont start to fight with me." I toss my head.

"You did it first." Jake toss my head.

"You did it first." I protest and toss his head.

We both look at each other and glare at each other until we both start wrestling. This is twins fight everywhere and mostly we dont know what the problem is. That's it. And that's stupid.

"You both wanna stop it or I will call Mr. Schue?" Blaine raises his eyebrows at us.

Jake and I are finally stop and glare at each other. The bells rings. Everyone take their ransel and went out from the choir room. I let out a sigh and take my ransel and my bagpack then went out from the choir room.

Ryder just walk passed me. My hand really want to catch his hand and stop it but I can. I exhale and turn my way to the field for having cheerios practice with coach Washington since coach Sylvester got fired because she admitted that she was the one who bring the gun.

"Why are you still ignore me? Did I do something wrong?" Ryder suddenly block my way.

"I have cheerios practice now. I will call you later." I kiss his cheek and walk away.

I'm sorry, Ryder. I dont mean to lie to you and avoiding you. I just have my fear and I dont know how to tell you that. I never be in a serious relationship before when I really love that person but now it's different for me.

Ryder's POV

"I have cheerios practice now. I will call you later." Jade kisses my cheek and walk away.

I keep standing in the hallways and holding my ransel. I dont know what's wrong with Jade. She is like avoiding me and I guess that something she is hiding from me and I dont have any idea, what's that.

I let out a sigh and turn my way to my locker. Just be positive, Ryder. Maybe she just in her period. Yeah my mom ever told me that girl is dangerous when she is on her period. Well, I hope so.

I keep walking in the hallways until I got to my locker and Jake is standing in front of his locker and take his book from his locker.

"Does she say something to you?" I ask Jake.

"Who do you mean by she, dude?" Jake raise his eyebrows at me.

"Jade. Who else? Look, yesterday I brough her to a picnic date but in the middle of that, she left me and she's been avoiding me since yesterday and she didnt want to tell me what's going on." I said to Jake.

"I know she is your girlfriend now but no man, she didnt say anything to me. Even she just being quiet all day at home yesterday and mostly, she hide something inside her." Jake says to me and shut his locker.

"Like she cheated on me?" I frown.

"She was a player but she never cheat on somebody. She'd rather to dump someone than cheat on someone." Jake says to me and walk away.

I exhale and turn my face to my locker. Is she still mad about how I kissed Marley and those valentines gift? Well if it's because of that and even though valentines week is already over long time ago, I guess I can make a new valentine things for her. Yeah I can do that and maybe she wanna talk to me and kiss me afterwards.
