Chapter 17

Kitty, Ryder, and I are in Breadstix right now and having dinner. In fact I'm still confused why she brought us here right now. Like literally.

"You know what, Jade and I together here and you can bring your boyfriend here and we can have double date than you sit down alone there." Ryder says to Kitty.

"Puck and I broke up. He dumped me when he went off to live at a college he doesn't go to. From a distance, Puck is super hot, but you don't really realize until you're right up close how puffy he is." Kitty says to Ryder until our food is coming. "Here you go."

"Jake doesnt let me meet him because when we both meet, we will start to mock each other." I said to them. "But wait, you didnt put any poison in here right?" I ask Kitty.

"No. Why would I do that?" Kitty chuckles. "I don't know why I have such terrible luck with guys. It's probably because I come on really strong and pretend to be all slutty, and then I freeze up right away and get distant and drop weird hints that my v****a has teeth. But I didn't come here to talk about the razor-sharp barbs guarding my cervix. I noticed how withdrawn you got this week in Glee Club after you told everyone your secret. It may have seemed like no one else in that room understood what you went through, but I did." Kitty half-smiled at us.

"What do you mean?" I raise my eyebrows.

"It was, um, my friend Julie's older brother.

I was in sixth grade. One night, Julie had a sleepover, and in the middle of the night, he came down into the basement and crawled into my sleeping bag. At first, I thought it was a joke. I didn't know what was happening. But then he started, um to feel me in places. In the morning, I went straight home without saying good-bye, and I couldn't tell my parents for a while.

I was afraid of upsetting them or something. So when I did tell them, they were really confused. They didn't understand why I waited so long to say something about it. My mom called his parents, and all I could hear her say was how good of a kid he was and how she didn't know how something like that could happen. And then Julie stopped talking to me and told everyone at school that I was spreading rumors about her brother. Then she told all my friends to stop talking to me.

Finally, I just decided it'd just be easier to switch schools. So I did. I understand what it feels like to have something like that happen to you and feel like nobody understands." Kitty says to us.

"I guess I just wanted you to know that I do. I kept that over years to myself because once I spreaded out a girl that I though I could trust, betrayed me. Jake and I didnt have any friends during middle school. So when we enter high school, we ruled that school until we both out of the line and we transferred to McKinley." I said to them.

"What did you do?" Kitty asks me.

"I prank senior. So her boyfriend dumped her because he was into me. Such a jerk, I know that. Then this girl cant accept that then she start picking on me and she told her senior friends to blocked my way when I on the way to home. But they couldnt get me because I'm smarter than them until another day, I went to girls locker room, and put liquid detergent in their shampoo bottle also plug their toothbrush to the toilet bowl and you know what? They used it afterwards." I laugh.

"Eww that was disgusting." Kitty laughs.

"That was a crime." Ryder chuckles.

"And dont do that or you'll get transferred to another school." I chuckle and eat my spaghetti.

"As long as you wont be stupid enough to get caught." Kitty chuckles.

"Well, thanks for the dinner tonight." I smile at Kitty.

"Yeah thank you so much." Ryder said to Kitty.

"Let's say that we're a team now. I do know what you both feel and it's been a month I didnt lie to all of you. At least since that shoot gun tragedy happened and it was sort kind of changed myself even though I'm still can be mean and made fun of you." Kitty says to Ryder and I.

"Can I be honest with you?" I raise my eyebrows at Kitty.

"What? Am I getting fatter?" Kitty frowns.

"Sort of but no. I dont wanna talk about how can your belly become big as same as your forehead but since you told me the truth about Ryder kissed Marley, I start to trust you." I said to Kitty.

"Thank you. Well, we can be partner in crime if you want." Kitty grins at me.

"We should!" I grin back at her.

"Now you both have date and I'm here alone. Fair enough." Ryder mumbled.

"Puck once ever told me. Finn ever had a date with Santana and Brittany at the same time so just consider that you have that one too." I chuckle.

"I'm the luckiest man in the world huh." Ryder chuckles.

"I dont wanna go out with you. So forget it." Kitty simply said.

I chuckle and continue eating my pasta. I just hope that no more molested happen to another children like what happened to us. Or it will make us become like this. Like really give bad effects.

"See you tomorrow." I give Ryder a quick kiss on his lips and went out from his car.

"I will call you when I get home." Ryder waves me a goodbye and drive away from my house.

I hold my bag and walk to my front door and open the door and get into my house. I walk into my house and close the front door and lock it. I walk passed the living room and I see my mom and Jake are sitting down on the sofa.

"I'm home. Sorry I'm late. Kitty brough me out to have dinner first." I said to mom.

"Sit down. There is something I want to talk to you." Mom says to me.

"Okay." I mumbled and sit down on a sofa in front of mom.

"Jake told me everything. And why you didnt tell me and kept it for over years?" Mom raises his eyebrows at me.

"Mom, I-I..." Tears slowly fall down to my face. "I was afraid. I was freaked out so I'd rather to kept it. I'm sorry, mom. I dont mean to keep it from you. I was afraid and I dont think that everyone would understand. Even Ryder got the same thing and when he told the others, they made it like something cool to be high-five about. I was afraid that no adults would trust me." I'm crying.

"Honey, I'm your mother and it's imposibble if I didnt trust you. You sure that he didnt hurt you right? If he do something molested like that, we can report that. I wont let anyone else hurt my daughter." Mom sit down next to me and hugs me.

"No. It was too late. Beside I heard that he got arrested." I'm sobbing.

"From now on, if something happen make sure that you will tell me. I wont let you keep a secret alone okay." Mom rubs my hair.

I wipe my tears away and nodded. It was really bad to keep my secret alone. But what else I can do? I'm having trouble with trusting anyone else since they betrayed me so I'd rather to keep it myself and never let it out.

I went out from the field and holding my bagpack. Coach Washington is such a terrible woman. I miss my cheerios practice life with coach Sylvester even though she is really mean but coach Washington's words is really worse. She want us to be like a barbie with big boobs and booty but have tiny hips. Weird? I know that.

"Becky? Why are you in your uniform?" I raise my eyebrows at Becky as she walks in the hallways.

"Can I tell you something, Jade?" Becky asks me.

"Yes, what? You can be honest with me." I said to her and turn on my flashlight as we start enter school building.

"I'm afraid that no one would protect me. Brittany left early to MIT and now coach Sylvesyer is gone and I have nobody so I decided to quit the team also coach Washington treat me so bad." Becky says to me.

"Becky, you still have me. I will protect you. Dont worry about that. You know that you're my team, my friend, my homegirl." I said to her.

"I have to get into principal Figgins's office now so I can tell him everything." Becky simply said and walk away.

"Tell him what? Becky! Stop!" I shout and make a little run to her but she turn her way to coach Washington office.

I let out a sigh and lean my body against the wall. "What's going on, babe?" Ryder asks me.

"Nothing. It was Becky told me that she is afraid if someone gonna hurt her since Brittany went to MIT and coach Sylvester fired. But it seems like something she hide from me. I dont know." I shrug.

"Forget it. We have glee club now. Come on." Ryder says to me and takes my hand.

"Next time wear a sweater or cardigan or I prefer you wear long sleeve shirt." I said to him.

"Why?" Ryder turn his face at me.

"I dont like when you show off your arms. First, it always turn me on. Second, I dont like if any other girl see that. Third, I own those arms. Fourth, you only allowed to hug me. That's all." I said to him.

"This whole body is yours. You own that. I like it when you start being jealous and protective like that." Ryder smiles at me.

"I can easily get jealous when I'm in love." I giggle.

Ryder just giggles then rubs my hair as we walk together until we both enter the auditorium for the glee club assignment this week. I'm sitting down on the ground and Ryder sitting down behind me and spread his legs until the power is going back to on.

"Citizens of McKinley, the power has been restored. Congratulations to all of us for refusing to resort to idol worship and rampant cannibalism. We have discovered that the blackout occurred when a Mylar balloon congratulating my secretary Donna on her successful hysterectomy became trapped in an outlet behind her file cabinet. McKinley Titans, it is a new dawn. Let us welcome a new era of peace and prosperity. Yours truly, Principal Figgins." Principal Figgins says from the speaker.

"Okay, let's flip some switches and rock out, please." Jake says and stand up from his seat with some of the others follow him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on, guys. Don't plug back in just yet. There's one more thing this power outage can really drive home for us: The power of singing acapella." Mr. Schue says to us.

"I hate whistling." Kitty groans.

"Nothing but our voices for this next number. No other instruments or bottles or tools or anything. At the end of the day, our voices are the only instruments that truly matter. So make it count." Mr. Schue smiles at us.

"Are we New Directions or The Warblers? Or the weird school show choir named The Wafletoots?" I frown. "The Wafletoots? Are they made from waffle combined with train horn or something?"

"Can you spell? Waffle is double F." Blaine says to me.

"Well, Tanner Gay Porcelain, your sticky-thick-raspberry hair gel is distracting me to spell." I simply said and stand up from my seat.

Blaine didnt say anything but look at his hair and touch his hair. I roll my eyes and walk away and help the others to move the others instrument and having our acafella song to continue this week assignment before we have regionals next week.

"Alright! That was what I'm talking about. Get ready for regionals next week, guys!" Mr. Schue's applauding at the end of our song.

We just smiling at each other at the end we ended up our song. The power lights went back again and there is no darkness and we out living from the darkness but I love this week honestly because there was not much time for study in the class.

Ryder's POV

"Ryder, you said that you wanna jogging this morning!" Mom pull my blanket away.

I open my eyes slowly and look around. "No, changed plan. I'm too lazy for that." I shake my head and make aslant backing her.

"Who is she?"

I turn around and mom take Jade's picture frame from my side table and look at it. "My girlfriend. A co-captain of cheerios." I grin at mom.

"You got a hot latina for a girlfriend." Mom chuckles.

"She is half-black and she is a Jew actually. Her name is Jade Puckerman." I said to mom.

"Ah I can see that from her last name. Well, you should bring her here someday." Mom smiles at me.

"I did but you and dad werent home." I simply said.

"Well, if you want to go to work out, get up now." Mom says to me and walk out from my room.

I let out a sigh and cover my whole body with blanket. Today is Sunday and actually Jade and I planed to have work out together since she is really obsessed with work out and she keep her body health but I'm not type of that person.

All of sudden someone throw some pebbles to my window. I stand up from my bed and walk to my window and open it until my girlfriend is throwing that pebbles to my window.

"Wake up, Big Dino!" Jade shouts at me.

"One more you throw that pebble to my window, I'm gonna kill you!" I shout back at her.

"Gotta catch me first." Jade laughs and run away.

I laugh and shake my head. Wait up, she ran away from her house to my house? The distance between our house is like 3 miles. Even that night I have to took a bus to got to her house and she ran from her house here? She is crazy.

I take my sneakers and wear that. I take my phone also my earphone then went out from my room and walk downstairs. "I'm going!" I shout and walk out from my house.

Where the hell is she now? I look around but I dont see her. "Ryder!" Jade's voice. I turn my face and she is smiling at me and waves me a hi. I smile back at her and start jogging as she start running away again.

I keep running to follow her but damn. She gone too fast and I guess she never tired until she got sick. I stop my way and take a break for a while until I start running again to get Jade who left me alone until I see her with two guys following her from her behind.

I'm still running to get them. No. You cant tease my girlfriend. Those guys stop her way and smirks at her. Jade just turn her way but a guy catches her hand and stop her way. Dont you dare to hurt my girlfriend or I will kill you!

I make my move faster and keep running until I got them and beat that guy. "Back off from my girlfriend!" I shout.

"Ryder, we better go." Jade takes my hand and about to run lead me but another guy catches me and beat me and make me fall to the ground.

"He is your boyfriend or your bodyguards?" A guy laughs at us.

I stand up from the ground and beat them again. One versus two. I'm bigger than them and I can beat them. But one of them hitting my stomach and it was really hurt and make me lose control.

"Stop beat him, you jerks!" Jade shouts and kick them right to their chest and make them fall to the ground. "We better go home." Jade holds my elbow and help me to stand up. "i***t, why you beat them?"

"They teased you and I dont like to see that." I frown at her.

"They're like rascal around here. What if when you walk home and they block your way to revenge?" Jade frowns at me.

"I got you." I smirk at her.

"Stupid." Jade rolls her hands and leaves my elbow pushes me away.

"Ouch!" I make fake groan.

"I know you fake it, Ryder." Jade simply said and walk away.

"Babe..."

"Ugh I hope that your mom is strong one to have a baby with a big body." Jade rolls her eyes and holds my elbow as we walk together.

"She saw your picture by the way and she said I dated a hot latina." I chuckle.

"You have my picture?" Jade frowns at me.

"You cant have your girlfriend picture?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Of course you can. I'm just flattered." Jade giggles.

I put my hand around her shoulder then she put her hand around my waist. "How can you kick those two guys like that?"

"I was a striker and I know exactly how to kicking." Jade simply said.

"You ran away from your house here?" I ask her.

"Yep. It's only 3 miles away." Jade simply nodded.

"Alright what about we go to my house and have breakfast then after that we can go out to somewhere and have Sunday date?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"Clear your bruise first then we can go out." Jade simply said.

I built a smile on my face and kisses her forehead. She is tough and mean but deep down she is a caring loving person. She is full with affection even though she always trying to hide it but I know that. I know she cares about me and loves me.

We both keep walking until we both enter the front yard of my house. Jade leaves my waist and I leave her shoulder. I take her hand and walk lead her to my house.

"Your parents are home?" Jade asks me.

"Yes. They are." I nodded. "Mom, I'm home." I shout and get into my house with Jade following me.

"Only 45 minutes? Your level of workout is really low. Wait, what happened with your eyes, Ryder?" Mom frowns at me.

"It was my fault actually. He beated the street rascal because they kind of seducing me." Jade giggles.

"Oh you must be... who is her name again?" Mom turn her face at me.

"I'm Jade. Jade Puckerman, Mrs. Lynn." Jade smiles at mom.

"You look more beautiful than in your picture and wow you got some abs. I always wanted that when I was young but it never happen." Mom chuckles.

"Thank you and nice to meet you too." Jade giggles.

"Alright, have fun. And thanks for making this big guy want to have work out." Mom smiles at her and walk away.

"I know your son is the laziest one." Jade mumbles.

I hold her hand harder and roll my eyes then walk lead her to my room. We walk upstairs and enter my room. My messy room.

"You stay here, I'm gonna take ice cube to clear your bruise." Jade says to me and walk out from my room.

I take off my shoes and sit down on my bed with my back against the wall. Is she forget that this is my house not her? Well, just let it be. I cant deny that she is full of affection even though she is tough one.

Jade walks back to my room and bring a bag of ice cube and a bowl also face towel. "Your mom gave me this." She grins at me and shows me a pain cream.

"She must be like you." I grin back at her.

Jade take off her shoes and sit down on my bed in front of me then start compressing my eyes with that ice bag. "Next time, dont beat them." Jade simply said.

"And I have to let them tease you?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Kill them. That's the right one." Jade chuckles.

"I'm still curious, you really run from your house to get here?" I ask her.

"Yes. I didnt lie. I never lie, right? Besides that you forgot that you were the one who asked me to have work out together? And here I am but you cant handle your jealousy problem and you beated those rascal guys." Jade says to me.

"I'm sorry okay." I cup her cheek and kiss her softly.

Jade only wraps my hand while cupping her cheek and kisses me back until we pull our lips each other away. "It's okay. But dont do that again next time. You cant fight. You lost when you fighted with Jake in choir room okay." Jade laughs.

"I was jealous. Is that wrong?" I protest.

"Nothing's wrong with that, babe. That's normal." Jade says to me.

"At least I always have my jealousy problem everytime any other guy were trying to get closer to you not you who never get jeaous on me." I roll my eyes.

"Who says?" Jade frowns at me.

"I said. Look, your cheerios girls always smirking at me and even though I knew that but I push them away but you never do something like what I did. Like told them 'back off, he is my boyfriend' like that." I said to her.

"Why should I? You can go with them if you want." Jade simply said.

"See? That's not the answer that I want, baby." I groan.

"Then what? They cant make me insecure. I know that no matter how hard they tried to tease you or seduce you, you will choose me over them." Jade says to me.

"How could you know that?" I chuckle.

"Because I'm the hottest girl in McKinley and if you break up with me, I can easily find another hotter guy than you." Jade grins at me.

"So proud with that huh." I pinch her cheeks.

"Actually there is one girl who can make me really insecure and jealous." Jade half-smiled at me.

"Who?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Marley. She is nice, more beautiful than me, then her voice is like... you know. Then you evee had crush on her, you kissed her twice. Oh it's three. First, on the backstage during Grease. Second, on the stage. And third, during valentines week. And she isnt mean not like me. And she is like 2 inches taller than me which is really perfect for you since you also really tall." Jade says to me.

"But back then, I choose you over her again." I hold her hand.

"You dont regret it?" Jade raises her eyebrows at me.

"Why should I? No. I love you for the way you are. Since I ran to you after you tied my shoelace and looked at you was really focus with study, I guess I already liked you despite your kindness to forced Jake and told Finn about my dyslexic. You said that she is nice but you dont know that you're nicer than her. You defended Joe when Sam made fun of his body during the calendar photoshoot. You defended me, when Sam and Artie made fun with the things I confessed during the glee club, and you protected Becky Jackson and made her feel safe. Not only that, you walked Unique home for a week after he told us about those popular kids who called him freak. Before that, you helped me cleaned up after Phil and Bobby slushied me and then...."

"I helped you because it was a trick to make you like me and stay away from Marley." Jade says with her head down.

"You already told me that but I'm sure there was kindness from your heart that time. Look, I love you. You are meaner than her but you are the nicest one." I rub her cheek and make her turn her face at me.

"Thank you. I love you too." Jade smiles at me.

I built a smile on my face and pull her face closer to me and kiss her as she kisses me back and we both have a make out on my bed for the second times.

"Okay stop." Jade stops me.

"Did I went too far? Or something?" I raise my eyebrows.

"No. My cropped tee bothering me. Can I borrow your tshirt?" Jade leaves my lap.

"In my wardrobe. Choose which one you like." I said to her.

Jade open my wardrobe and standing in front of it and looking for a tshirt until she takes my blue sweater. She is still standing there and almost take off her tanktop but she turn around at me. I cover my eyes with my hands and pretend that I dont see her.

"Turn around." Jade says to me.

"I didnt see." I shake my head.

"I dont trust you. Turn around or I will go home right now."

"Your threaten really works on me." I let out a sigh and turn my body around. "Besides, I wont let you go home run like that. I will drive you home later."

"I also dont wanna go home that fast actually." Jade chuckles and put her arms around my shoulder from behind.

"Okay we can do something else now." I chuckle and lift her up on my back.

"What are we gonna do?" Jade asks me.

"You said that you want a fluffy puppy right? I have one in my backyard." I said to her and walk out from my room.

"I want to see that!"

"Slow down, baby." I chuckle and still lift her up on my back and walk downstairs.

She said that she cant have a cute relationship because she is not that one but the fact that she is the cutest one and with her I can be cute.
