"Whoa~ Cool! Hey Luke! look at meteor shower!" Alex shouted eagerly to his friend Luke. While Alex was very anxious because of the meteor shower that was quickly drawing in the sky, Luke's reaction was the opposite as it could be seen in his blue eyes and pale face. Alex and Luke are close friends even though they have different backgrounds. Alex is half American and half Filipino, this can be seen in his natural brown hair, height 180cm, and high nose, grew up in the Philippines, 17 years old. While Luke is pure American with black hair up to shoulder, the height of 186cm, sharp blue eyes and white skin, 17 years old, grew up in America but 1 year ago he visited his older sister in the Philippines and at the same time had a vacation, thanks to that he got to know Alex their neighbor who later taught him Philippine Language. And now they are close as brothers. "Alex. I think this is not good. I mean ... meteor shower in the morning? Isn't it weird?" said Luke as the concern was evident in the voice, then he took his phone and called his sister. "Luke, if it's dangerous, shouldn't it be reported on TV? Haha just take it, easy bro." Alex replied cheerfully. "No Alex. I have a bad feeling about this, I have to go now and see my sister". Luke's answer was serious. When Alex heard this he had no choice but to listen to his friend. "Alright Luke if you say so, just be careful. I'll just go home first to watch the news but like I said take it easy". Alex just answered because even though they have been friends for a long time, he still can't understand Luke's character. ----- In the year 2090 in just five years after the meteor shower that happened then, the size has already changed the world. Technology improved and keep on advancing for example wristwatch that with one tap on the screen it will show a hologram wherein you can see applications just like phone before now phone are old things that sooner or later will be forgotten before we need ID's for identification now just scan of the eye and all is done even in applying for jobs, cars don't produce pollution anymore. It all happened within just 5 years the cause of all these changes are the people who got one day get abilities one after another they are called ability users and all people with the help of their abilities in this new era. But if there's an advantage there's also a disadvantage, a rift appeared in different locations around the world after the meteor shower. At the first outbreak of the rift, many lost their lives because of the monsters that came here, countries that were destroyed and collapsed, and families that disintegrated who did not know if they were still alive or not. Then 2 years after the rift, mankind manage to adapt and their abilities awakened because of this, hope arrive in everyone's heart. ------Author's comment Hello everyone this is my first book and I know it's quite short for the first episode but I'll do my best to make it longer in the next episode.
