Sierra's POV
Sierra?
A voice echoes in the hallway, and the door creaks open.
My chest pounds louder than a war drum and my eyes widen in fear at our compromising position. They are so close to me that their bodies are almost rubbing against mine.
No one would come in here and ever understand that we aren’t doing anything other than talking.
The twins move faster than lightning. With their Alpha power, they step back—putting quite a distance between us, masking their expressions completely, as if they already anticipated this moment.
Then Lily—my best friend and colleague—steps in. Her eyes dart across the room, her intense gaze shifting between us, then fixing on the twins. For a moment, the silence in the room is deafening, and as recognition hits her, her hand flies to her mouth, and her wide eyes grow even bigger.
“Is it the Nightmoor princes?” she screams, like she has just seen fallen angels. She runs towards me and stands beside me.
I take the opportunity to sigh in relief as I push myself off the locker. I force a smile at Lily. “Yes,” I whisper. “It’s the Nightmoor twins.”
Lily practically stops breathing. “They are the twins turning the whole campus upside down,” she mutters through gritted teeth. “I saw the way the ladies are swooning over them on my way here.”
I ignore her, though her words send a strange feeling down my spine. Jealousy? Anger? Of course, they are ladies’ men. Everywhere, every time, they command attention.
I turn towards Rafe and Riven. “You both should go ahead,” I say, forcing a smile. “I’ll join you on the rink.”
Lily slaps me lightly on the hand. “Don’t be wicked, Era.” Her voice is cold, but I can hear the hint of a joke in it. Then she turns towards them and bows. “I’m Lily.” Her voice is low and seductive. “I’m Sierra’s best friend.”
I scoff. This isn’t Lily’s voice. This girl is a troublemaker and can literally scream the whole place down, so why is she acting like she can’t even kill an ant?
My brows knit as realization dawns on me. Is she flirting with them too?
She continues, “Since you’re Sierra’s friend, it means you’re my friends too, right?”
I stare at the twins critically. They’re smirking like they’re enjoying her seduction, which only makes my chest tighten slightly.
Why does it feel like I’m jealous?
These boys aren’t even mine—they’re playboys who use ladies however they want, just like they did to me.
Whatever they said back then—submit, teach, break free—is just a way to keep me by their side. They probably enjoyed the thrill of f*****g their best friend’s older sister and nothing more.
“Sure,” Rafe answers, placing a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “A friend of Miss Sierra is our friend too.”
Miss Sierra. His tone is formal. Too formal, like they hadn’t just circled me like prey minutes ago. They’d have made a career in acting if they were actors.
Riven nods. “Yes. We are totally cool with it.”
I roll my eyes. Of course, they’re cool with it. But then, why do I even care? They’re all single, so they can mingle, right?
Lily smiles broadly. “Thank you.” Then she turns towards me. “You only told me they’re handsome and arrogant, Sierra. You didn’t tell me they’re kind—”
I clear my throat to cut her off—to stop her from saying more before she stains my white. In the past, I told her practically everything—how I was attracted to them back then in the Nightmoor Pack."
The twins smile and exchange a knowing glance. “So, Miss Sierra thinks we are handsome?” That comes out more like a statement than a question.
“Yes,” Lily answers sharply. “She told me you both were so handsome and you would have seduced you, if you weren’t—”
My mouth widens in fear and I quickly place my palm over her mouth. I force a smile despite the storm brewing inside me. “Can you please stop talking,” I murmur through gritted teeth as humiliation hangs over me like a dark fog.
The twins laugh lightly—clearly having the best moment of their life. “We’ll leave now, Miss Sierra,” Rafe taunts. “See you on the ice.” He winks at me.
“Miss Lily,” Riven says, his voice smooth like silk. “See you around.”
Then they turn and walk out of the room.
Lily bites my palm and I scream, yanking my hand away from her mouth.
“Call me Lily,” she calls after them, waving. “As for me, I like younger boys like you. I wouldn’t mind if we hang out together…”
Jesus… this girl is crazy.
“Are you okay?” I spit, my voice hard. “Why would you say that in front of those kids?”
“Oh, kids,” she repeats without looking back at me. “These aren’t kids, Sierra.” She stretches out her hand and lets out a dramatic gasp. “They are my prince charming. Look at those broad chests—I can literally sleep in them all day. Those arms—pinning me down or spreading my thighs apart. Those lips—devouring me.” She presses her thighs together.
I don’t realize when I manage a small smile, easing the tension inside me, at her dramatic expression.
Lily is one hell of a crazy girl. But don’t get me wrong, she’s a good person and very dependable. She doesn’t believe in mates and marriage; she believes in s*x and vibes instead. I met her here at Moon Eclipse College, and she is the late Gamma’s daughter. She was the only girl who would stand up for me anytime I was bullied.
Then she turns back towards me and her expression shifts into that cold one she always wears whenever she wants to strangle someone.
“So, I heard something from Mira. She claims she is f*****g the Alpha. Is that true?”
How pathetic. That girl even has the guts to tell everyone about it? But then… anyone would be courageous, especially with the way my husband treated me like trash in her presence.
I walk towards my desk and roll out a tissue to wipe Lily’s saliva from my palm.
“Answer me, Sierra!!!” she growls, her patience wearing thin.
I press my lips together and sigh. “Yes, Lily,” I reply quietly. “I met Varek f*****g her in our private mansion.”
Lily’s lips curl into a deadly smirk. “So what did you do?”
The fact that everyone thinks a weak Omega Luna like me should have done something makes a bitter laugh bubble in my throat. They forget this man owns my fate.
“So what should I have done?” I say, my voice thick with emotion because I hate the fact that I’m weak. I hate the fact that I can’t hurt him back. I hate the fact that I can’t parade my cheating like he is doing. “Tell me, what should I have done, Lily?”
Lily doesn’t reply immediately, her expression softening a little. “You should have rejected him. Divorce the bastard and show him you can’t be pushed around.”
